  1. [15:01:35] @deetah: /announce Hello everyone! Welcome to June's YouTube workshop!
  2. [15:02:17] @deetah: /announce In this workshop we will be going over some FAQ about YouTube that are often asked
  3. [15:03:20] @deetah: /announce So without further ado, let's get right into it! You are allowed to comment during this workshop if you have any questions or want to discuss anything relating to them
  4. [15:04:34] @deetah: /announce A commonly asked question that a lot of YouTubers get is "What are your favorite hobbies?" A YouTuber's content is often related to their hobbies and what they enjoy doing.
  5. [15:05:54] @deetah: Even though it's completely similar to people's favorite content to watch, this is much more focused on what the YouTuber can do to the best of their ability (since it saves him / her money)
  6. [15:08:24] %Prankin: Another question is "What part of content creation do you heavily dislike?" A Youtuber has to see what they dislike to help them think about what they should add onto their videos
  7. [15:09:33] %Prankin: So, there are many things people take into consideration when making content for their channel. They need to have a face cam, specific applications, microphones, etc.
  8. [15:11:07] @deetah: Another question is "What type of equipment do you have to potentially record content?" It helps to identify what applications they have access to so then they can make videos easily.
  9. [15:11:49] @deetah: For example, if you don't have a camera to do a face cam for Let's Plays, but have access to OBS Studios and a microphone, you can use the equipment you have to do a commentary walkthrough.
  10. [15:13:27] %Prankin: Furthermore, another question would be "Who are your favourite Youtubers?" Your favourite youtuber will then act like your role model.
  11. [15:14:43] %Prankin: Although you should take into note that you should NOT copy everything they do as this is THEIR channel and you have your OWN channel. Don't feel like if you haven't done what their doing then your doing something wrong
  12. [15:16:03] @deetah: Another question that is typically asked is "How can you make your content stand out to the viewers?"
  13. [15:16:42] @deetah: Sometimes, it's worth noting that even if you make good quality content, you need a trump card in order to impress the viewers and keep them interested in watching your content.
  14. [15:17:44] @deetah: Sometimes, it could be having a enthusiastic or goofy personality that can impress the audience.
  15. [15:18:31] %Prankin: Also, another question is "What do I do if I get hate comments?" Hate comments are usually made from people which can be almost jealous of your content or they're bored
  16. [15:19:06] %Prankin: Sometimes people will hate. Instead of letting it discourage you, see if there’s anything you can take away from it to improve your content. If there is nothing to take away, then simply ignore the mindless hate and don’t let it drag you down
  17. [15:20:14] @deetah: "Would you ever consider diversifying your content in the future?" is another good question that is often asked
  18. [15:20:38] @deetah: This is often asked a lot in general, but sometimes you have to branch out and consider doing content that you don't typically do.
  19. [15:21:20] @deetah: There are many instances of people actually doing this, like Mr. Beast and Guava Juice, who interested a large audience in this matter after going away from the video game business.
  20. [15:21:52] %Prankin: Next, another question which is usually asked is "Should I follow trends?"
  21. [15:22:18] %Prankin: A lot of times things get really big on YouTube and draw in a ton of views for that specific topic. As for what you should do, the best thing is to do what you enjoy. If you enjoy something trendy, then by all means, take advantage of the opportunity.
  22. [15:22:41] %Prankin: If not, then don’t try to force content out. Sometimes unenthusiastic content on something you don’t enjoy can keep people from coming back to your channel
  23. [15:23:06] @deetah: /announce And those are all of the FAQ we will be covering in this workshop! Hope you guys enjoyed and were able to learn a thing or two.
  24. [15:23:25] @deetah: /announce We will be posting this on our website in the near future, so you can find it on there again if you need to refer back to it
  25. [15:23:59] @deetah: /announce Big thanks to Prankin, Celine, and Sunny for helping with the questions! And thanks to our hosts
