- Lincoln's day couldn't of been any worse. All day at school his friends were gloating about the girls they smooched, causing him to feel insanely jealous.
- "Yeah man," Liam had said during lunch. "It was the sweetest thing I'd ever tasted!"
- "I mean, getting close and personal is definitely the way to go!" Chad added, "A smooch is great, but holding it there is absolute heaven."
- Several of the boys around the table all nodded in agreement, voicing their own experiences with the girls they had hooked up with. They ranged from simple kisses on the cheek to a few full-on make out sessions, those boys being showered with praise and congratulations from their peers. Everyone seemed to have their own stories, even Clyde had gotten his first kiss. Clyde!
- Everyone except for Lincoln.
- As he made his way home, Lincoln couldn't help but seethe over it. "It's just not fair!" Lincoln exclaimed to no one as he walked through the front door. "The only girl I've ever kissed gave me a black eye! How do those guys do it?!" He really wanted to bring up his experience, but he knew it would just be mocked by his friends. It wasn't exactly a secret that it was Ronnie Anne gave him the black eye, and if they knew he had kissed her at any point, they were sure to bring two-and-two together.
- Grabbing for the handrailing to the stairs, he brought himself up the first step. He just wanted to change into his undies and read comics for the rest of the day. At least then he'd be content with doing something other than feel bad. Suddenly, he felt a finger tap on his shoulder.
- 'Great. Now I have to deal with whatever trouble my sister's get me into.'
- "What do you want?!" He asked with exasperation in his voice, whirling around. There stood Luna, reeling back slightly.
- "Woah, bro!" She exclaimed, putting her hands up in front of her. "I just wanted to check on you." Lincoln stared at her for a moment before turning back around with a sigh.
- "Sorry. I just had a really bad day."
- "You're telling me. I heard everything from the couch." She said, a small snicker escaping her. Lincoln's cheeks flaring up. "Having girl troubles, huh?"
- Lincoln really didn't want to deal with this, not after today. With a sigh, he began his ascent up the stairs. "Yeah, yeah...laugh it up." He wearily said. He heard Luna stop laughing, and as he reached about halfway up the stairs, he felt a hand stop him mid step.
- "Hey, come on." She said, her voice much softer this time. Turning around, he was met with her normal, warm smile. "How about I give you some advice?"
