  1. Prologue
  2. Logo fading out.
  3. “Rejected”
  4. She responded with a single, cold phrase that fitted well with her cold expression.
  5. ”I-if you reject it would mean that the school.....”
  6. ”Your opinion does not matter. I did not ask for it. Nor did I need to. In the first place, when did I even allow you to speak to me about this matter?”
  7. ”B-but... Lowering the budget by 20 percent would result in difficulties in managing the acade...”
  8. ”Didn’t you hear what I said? You’re not allowed to speak!”
  9. ”P-please wait! At least postpone the changes to the next seems....”
  10. Half a year has passed since I got employed. Originally I planned to get employed as a servant rather than a secretary. Up until this point I tried to get used to only saying ”yes”, but it seems that I was naive.
  11. In the spit of a second she prepared herself to interrupt her incompetent secretary and pushed her patience to the limit before opening her mouth one last time.
  12. ”Try and remember. I thought that you were only allowed to respond to me in one way. Why don’t you try and say it?”
  13. She turned her head down and glared at the secretary who then said.
  14. ”....Y, Yes...”
  15. The moment their eyes met she felt a cold shiver down her spine and responded with a cracked voice.
  16. ”E, excuse me”
  17. With stiff movements, just like a machine that has run out of oil, the secretary left.
  18. Expressionless she watched the secretary leave and picked up one of the photos on top of her desk.
  19. In the photo there was a small girl.
  20. In the picture, the girl smiles carelessly. To her, that fact is extremely irritating.
  21. She crumpled the photo, on purpose making an unnecessary large sound and then stuffed the photo into an ashtray on the top of the table and then quietly snapped her fingers.
  22. The same moment, without a single sound the picture started burning.
  23. Until the flame went out and the picture turned into white ash she stood there silently and watched.
  24. Opening Movie
  25. You know those times when you want a B button.
  26. What time? Basically speaking... Well, those times when you want to run fast.
  27. B-dash, yeah, B-dash. It’s one of the basic moves, right?
  28. Even if a block is missing and there’s a hole in the road you can just continue forward without caring. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
  29. Oh, but that would also me nice. Something like rolling into a ball and thrusting forward in hyper sonic speed.
  30. My hair is short so the hair tips is curling up a bit. Therefore, judging from the character image I think it would be possible.
  31. ”It doesn’t matter!”
  32. If were to shout that in a cool way while while flying hyper sonic speed that move might be a higher level move than dash.
  33. And if that wouldn’t work..... That’s it! Something along the lines of a robot in the shape of a horned beetle that would move so fast that the surroundings appear to be stopped in time.
  34. Something similar but more close to this time period would be if you pushed a cheetah medal onto your belt and then started hearing strange music.
  35. Just biting your cheeks together.... Might be a bit outdated.
  36. Anyways! If i could run any faster than I already am, any means would be fine.
  37. If it only would mean that I wouldn’t be late to the entrance ceremony.
  38.
  39. ...........
  40. No no, is this a cliche or just the way is always is with me. I’m sorry for always doing an entrance like this, but as someone who is keeping her promises I don’t have time to care about what others think.
  41. But still, let alone normal weekdays that doesn’t matter, we’re talking about the entrance ceremony here. The entrance ceremony.
  42. The first step of your new life starting with you being late is something that you often see in comedies. You can laugh at it when you’re just watching but you still wouldn’t want to be that person. Or how should I put it, a monologue with a hint of that meta-like thing, the type you’ve seen hundreds of times in games or light novels (especially visual novels!). When you’re being showed a development like this, hmm, how should I say. You start wondering if the writers run out of ideas for the story. In the first pl- *cough*
  43. Oh shi- Since I talked about lots unnecessary things I ran out of breath.
  44. From the bottom of my completely dried out throat the following slipped out
  45. Heee.... Hiiii.... Haaaa....
  46. While letting out a pathetic voice, or perhaps it’s closer to breath I’m continuing running to the school.
  47. Oh right, since there’s no point in delaying it further I’ll make a short self-introduction while I still can.
  48. I’m Neptune.I’m just an ordinary beautiful girl that you can find anywhere. My interests would be, hmm, maybe games.
  49. My special skill is transformation!
  50. From today and on I’ll enjoying my youth school life at the Histoire Memorial Academy.... Or at least that’s what I’m planning to do.
  51. Inside my head I’m making a lot of fun plans, if I’m in time for the entrance ceremony that is.
  52. If I’m not, it will all come to nothing.
  53. ”That girl, I heard that she was late to the entrance ceremony. Hahahaha.”
  54. Like that I’ll probably be pointed at and bullied by a group of girls while sitting down, shaking, making myself small in one of the corners in the corridor side in the classroom.
  55. That is something that I definitely do not want to happen.
  56. Therefore, I’m running! Aiming for the school! For the sake of my shining future!
  57. Even if I try to motivate myself like that I unfortunately have the body of a a weak, beautiful girl who neither can use B-dash nor turn into a ball and thrust forward at hyper sonic speeds. The only thing I can do is to bite my teeth, swing my arms, and with my fighting spirit alone try to raise my speed.
  58. ”There it is!”
  59. Through my misted eyes, I could finally see it, my goal, the Histoire Memorial Academy’s school gate.
  60. Thank god, it seems like the school gate aren’t closed yet!
  61. After I confirmed that te gate was still open and put in the last of my strength, at that moment
  62. ”Nepnep! Please hurry!”
  63. From the other side, carried by the wind, I could hear a voice calling for me. By the way, Nepnep is my nickname. While I’m still on the subject, I can only think of a single person who calls me by that name.
  64. ”Compa! Sorry to keep you waiting!”
  65. Heading towards that one person, I too raised my voice.
  66. Scrubbing my eyes, making my field of view clear, I see a girl waving her hands with big movements, The girl whom I now see clearly is my friend Compa.
  67. Me and Compa are so-called room mates. Compa is acts a bit more grown up than me and she is my best friend.
  68. I took the entrance exam to the same school as that friend attended, and we promised that we would go to school together.
  69. ”On the day of the entrance ceremony we’re going to go through the school gate on three. It’s a promise, okay? Nepnep.”
  70. ”Yeah! It’s a promise!”
  71. Things like these happen quite often. Childish, however, important promises.
  72. Compa, you waited for me. Even though you also would be late if I wouldn’t show up.
  73. Aaaaah, I feel like I’m going to cry.
  74. ”I barely made it, right?”
  75. I finally stopped my feet in front of Compa and while resting my arms on my knees i said it.
  76. ”I-I’m glad you made it! I was worried about you. The new student were all going into the school but I still couldn’t see Nepnep so I got worried that you’ve might been abducted by aliens or something.......”
  77. PICTURE OF NEPNEP RUNNING AND COMPA WAVING HER HAND
  78. Oh, abuduc.....
  79. It seems like Compa got too worried and started getting weird delusions.
  80. Just like someone who had been living apart from their family for several years and then finally met them again, half crying, she hugs me. Although I’m entirely drenched in sweat she does not seem to mind that at all.
  81. However, I’m happy that she’s being kind and is worrying for me. On the other hand, I’m feeling a over the reason to why I almost got late. Personally I would like to explain that a lot has happened....
  82. It might have been for the best if I really were abducted or something I think... No no no, that would seriously be bad I realized as I shaked my head.
  83. ”Hey Compa, stop crying. We’re going to cross the school gate together just as we promised, right?”
  84. I said while wiping Compas teary eyes with my sleeve of my clothes.
  85. ”It’s your fault that I’m crying. Afterward I’ll have you make a proper excuse for what you did!”
  86. Compa pulled my hand away from her face and then raised her hand over my head.
  87. ”Bad Nep!”
  88. She tapped me on the head.
  89. After that, she once again firmly gripped my hand and said.
  90. ”Come on now Nep, we’re leaving. To our entrance ceremony.”
  91. Me and Compa, while holding each others hands, we crossed the school gate together as promised.
  92. Congratulations on getting into your new school, Nepnep!
  93. You too, Compa!
  94. Congratulating each other we hugged.
  95. Well, isn’t this a touching sight? When I was talking about B-dash and everything I had no idea it would come out like this.
  96. Now, all that is left is to go to the entrance ceremony like nothing has happened. When it ends, this time for real, my youthful school life will begin!
  97. The plans which were about to come to nothing until just a while ago were once again revived. While visualizing those plains in my head me and Compa playfully walked on the road leading to the shool building.
  98. At that moment.
  99. ”Oh right, Nepnep. Is it okay if I ask a question?”
  100. Compa asked the question just like she had remembered something.
  101. ”Hmm? What is it?”
  102. I answered lightly, looking at her.
  103. I felt Compas gaze sweeping over me from top to toe, then.
  104. ”Nepnep, why aren’t you wearing your school uniform even though it is the entrance ceremony?”
  105. Very easily, with that single line, she completely crushed the mood.
