  34. Q. Hey! I saw a thread on /v/ saying I can pirate Vita games now? Is that true?
  35. A. The HENkaku exploit released by Team Molecule allows anyone to run unsigned code and homebrew on the latest Vita firmware version. While the exploit is still being reverse engineered to find more possibilities, Vita game piracy is unlikely unless a way to decrypt reboot files is found.

  38. Q. Well that sounds pretty shitty, what's possible so far?
  39. A. Installing homebrew/emulators through vpk files, using multiple accounts on one memory card, accessing the full vita file system and uploading/downloading files via FTP, using PSP homebrew through VHBL, applying custom themes systemwide or for each individual app, dumping vita game files, modding legally owned Vita games (cheats, undubs, etc.), or whitelisting PSTVs to play all games

  41. Q. And what are we likely to see in the near future?
  42. A. Emulators for the N64, eCFW exploits for the PSP emulator, PSP and PS1 iso injection, etc.

  44. Q. Is there anyway I can access HENkaku offline?
  45. A. Yes, in the [PC Homebrew] section, there is a link for an offline HENkaku download.

  47. Q. Should I update to 3.60 if I'm on <3.55? Is there anyway to update to 3.60 later if I change my mind?
  48. A. The current exploit only allows for unsigned native homebrew and PSP mode homebrew, if you already have a lower firmware Vita with a eCFW exploit or PS1 injection enabled, it may be wiser to wait. You can always manually update to 3.60 later on using QCMA.

  50. Q. Is there anyway I can buy or download content from the Playstation Store if I'm not on the latest firmware?
  51. A. If you own a PS3, you can buy your content from the store or website and transfer it using the Content Manager. If you want to download a PSP or PS1 game that denies compatibility from it's store page, you can install it using a PS3 as well.

  53. Q. Whats the difference between the Vita, Vita Slim and Playstation TV/Vita TV? Which one is the best?
  54. A. The Vita TV is by far the cheapest, and allows for multiple players during remote play or in certain emulators. Otherwise, refer to this: http://vitageneral.com/?page_id=85.
