hasegawa akino <b>(長谷川 秋乃)</b> is a female sawsbuck gijinka. she is seventeen years old, and stands at five feet, nine inches. she is quite lithe, with a thin pear shape. her health is moderate, though anemic. sawsbuck has thin, <i>sleek crimson hair</i> and <i>jade irises.</i> neither of them change during the seasons, though her still growing antlers sprout flowers, leaves, and sometimes even fruit depending on the time of the year. her finger and toenails are noticeably long and claw-like, though they are well taken care of. more often than not, she wears a school uniform. her day outfit is a bright red, two piece costume that imitates a flower around her hips and chest.

<p>at first impression, the deer girl is breath of fresh air. she is cheerful and encouraging to those who need it, though <i>lacks much confidence in herself</i>. her manners and filial attitude is one that could say she had been raised well, but it has never been the case. <i>akino is naive</i> like children are, with whom she often relates with best. she is also known to be a coward, running from fights and avoiding alteracation at all costs. though it is naturally her goal to become a stronger sawsbuck.</p>

<p>not every family was understanding and proud to have a gijinka child - or attempt to protect their new born from the hands of team umbra's cruel project to attempt to duplicate their special gene. akino's family didn't hesitate to look at the little bone stubs sticking out of their infant's scalp, and sign her away..feeling that her <i>needs were too special</i> for what they could provide. the deer girl did not see freedom for another sixteen years. the experiments executed under team umbra were grotesque, and stamped in akino's dreams every night. later, the government had finally passed the law that every gijinka minor would be released from every facility to receive an education.</p>

<p>there is always a catch to everything too good to be true, and that was that the experiments would not subside. so long as hasegawa akino's name is in the system, or that there was even a system - <i>a nurse</i> would continue coming to her little apartment. it has been almost a year of partial freedom, and she has a lot to learn about the outside world.</p>

<br><p>in and outside of battle, akino is quick on her feet. she is able to dodge what is a highly accurate move from other pokemon - and run from every challenge in the wild when weak. with great speed comes a low defense, she is easily distracted or intimidated. it is in her character to persist despite great injury if the fight is a necessary one. she is good in picking up fighting patterns, though currently lacks many moves herself due to lack of fighting experience. outside of battle, akino is captain of the ballet club, and highly flexible. she has much endurance with physical feats and injury. </p>
