I urge you to support H.R. 3199: "Safe Military Bases Act." In light of events in the recent past, it is important for the members of the military to defend themselves if the worst were to happen. Military members are trusted to defend our country and trained to do so - why are they not allowed to defend themselves? Banning the carrying of firearms did not stop Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood in 2009, Aaron Alexis at the Washington Navy Yard last September, or Ivan Lopez this past April.

In the interest of protecting our military members, please support this bill.
