Aside 30.3: Genevieve talks with 'Junior'

Sep 15 22:31:38 <~zoofman>	Your guest, Emborc, has been staying in a small lab that you guys converted into a living quarter of sorts.  He's been fairly complacent and quiet, spending his time watching a television someone set up and sleeping.

Sep 15 22:36:50 <~zoofman>	Wheeler looks a bit silly with this thing on his head, but Wheeler generally looks pretty goofy anyway!  The two of you head on in.
Sep 15 22:37:02 <Genevieve>	"Hey Emborc, how do you feel?"
Sep 15 22:37:46 <~zoofman>	The beastman scooches around in his sitting position as you enter the room, and looks to Wheeler with a rather puzzled expression.
Sep 15 22:38:39 <~zoofman>	Wheeler tries translating for you with a series of hand gestures.  He's watched Ammy do this some in preperation for this.
Sep 15 22:40:07 <~zoofman>	Emborc replies in a similar fashion, and the translator on Wheeler's head, with Turing's help, reads the following, "I am well.  What is this about, with the ghost here?"
Sep 15 22:42:23 <Genevieve>	"Hes helping me speak with you. Are you hungry?" She holds up half a sandwich to the beastman.
Sep 15 22:45:13 <~zoofman>	Wheeler does his thing, Emborc nods and reaches out to take the food off your hands.  He takes a small bite from it, and replies.  "Your food is much better than the last who held me prisoner.  What do you want from me?"
Sep 15 22:48:47 <Genevieve>	"I want to know who you are and where you come from so we can get you back there."
Sep 15 22:51:28 <~zoofman>	He seems skeptical at first, and grunts.  "You would unable to say my name.  It means Eldest Son.  Call me what you wish."
Sep 15 22:53:53 <~zoofman>	"I am of the Mountain Tribe.  I do not know where I am, so I cannot convey where I am from well.  We have no name for it.  These names that you and these creatures, like the one I am talking to, are not habit of ours."
Sep 15 22:54:37 <~zoofman>	"I believe the way the red headed woman described it was we are more vague with our titles."
Sep 15 22:55:03 <Genevieve>	"So, like, Junior. A name with meaning."
Sep 15 22:56:25 <~zoofman>	"If that is your word for it, then so be it, I am Junior."
Sep 15 22:57:06 <~zoofman>	He tries to pronounce it himself, in the manner you did, "J'nyr."
Sep 15 23:00:36 <Genevieve>	"Hmm, close. Maybe you have the structures to speak a human language." She sits down and takes a snack, too. "And unfortunately, while you have to stay hear, I want this to be as little of a prison as possible while we figure out where home is for you."
Sep 15 23:01:45 <~zoofman>	"Acceptible.  It is more welcoming than my last prison.  What became of my fellow tribesman?"
Sep 15 23:03:46 »»	Genevieve sighs. "Dead. We're looking for him to bring proper justice for that."
Sep 15 23:05:09 <~zoofman>	Junior's expression hardens, but he nods.  "I thought as much.  The man who held us was not a kind one.  Thank you for your honesty."
Sep 15 23:05:56 <~zoofman>	"What things would you need to know to see me returned to my home, and this justice served?"
Sep 15 23:07:12 <~zoofman>	"Your 'televisions', as you call them, make it clear that I am in a place where I would be helpless to find my own way.  I have no choice but to trust you and your companions."
Sep 15 23:07:58 <Genevieve>	"I'll be as honest as I can.  Do you know how you traveled or which direction? Any features of your home?"
Sep 15 23:09:18 <~zoofman>	"We were walking along the beach, gathering coconuts, as men and women with those black eye monsters - the type one of your companions controls - attacked us."
Sep 15 23:09:58 <~zoofman>	"We were bound and dragged upon...what is your word for them, the things you use to cross the waters?"
Sep 15 23:10:28 <Genevieve>	"Boats."
Sep 15 23:10:44 <~zoofman>	"A boat, then.  I do not know where we were taken from there.  They stuck us with needles, and sleep set in.  We woke up in the place you took me from."
Sep 15 23:11:56 <~zoofman>	"My home is surrounded by water and ruined boats.  There is a jungle, mountains...I am not sure what features would assist you."
Sep 15 23:12:23 <Genevieve>	"Hmmm...how much do you use the stars?"
Sep 15 23:14:55 <~zoofman>	"We use them to track the seasons."
Sep 15 23:15:22 <~zoofman>	"And passage of time.  They make good indication, being we do not often see them."
Sep 15 23:16:29 <Genevieve>	"Then we might be able to help figure out at least which direction to go, though Chase is probably right on this."
Sep 15 23:17:21 <Genevieve>	"Is there anything specific I can bring for you?"
Sep 15 23:20:41 <~zoofman>	He thinks on that.  "The red haired woman said we have features of both your kind, and those of variations of these beings," he gestures at Wheeler.  "While there are some creatures we hunt for food on our own, they are more diverse here.  Can you bring me something to help understand this?"
Sep 15 23:22:32 <Genevieve>	"I don't really understand it myself, but I can find something for you. Maybe a picture encyclopedia."
Sep 15 23:24:14 <~zoofman>	The word you use, Encyclopedia, seems to confuse him.  "I do not wish to try to comprehend why this is.  I am just a simple gatherer - too large and loud for hunts.  That would be for a shaman.  I simply wish to see just how varied these creatures are.  Will a 'picture encyclopedia' do this?"

Sep 15 23:26:27 <~zoofman>	He nods, quite happy.  "Then that is exactly what I would enjoy. Thank you."
Sep 15 23:27:54 <Genevieve>	"Of course. I'll bring some things later to see if you recognize them, alright?"
Sep 15 23:30:09 <~zoofman>	He nods. "A lot of things here confuse me, but I don't think even if I asked many questions, I would understand.  Something like this I could, though."
Sep 15 23:30:30 <Genevieve>	"Oh, and I am, lets say, Medicine Woman?"
Sep 15 23:32:11 <~zoofman>	He nods. Seems that is a pretty good understanding of how they would name things.
Sep 15 23:35:40 <Genevieve>	"I hope to get you home soon." She gets up to go.
Sep 15 23:36:29 <~zoofman>	"I as well.  I miss looking up to see the sky." He laughs.  It's a rather rough sound.
Sep 15 23:39:50 <Genevieve>	She gives him a sad smile and collects Wheeler to go.
Sep 15 23:41:00 <~zoofman>	He waves you off, finishing off any food you left as well.
