Ebony Kingdom Prologue Session E

[2/10/2014 6:18:56 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Malaika!" Soraka called outside in the night for her child. "It's time to go to bed my child!" The zebra mare sighed, her daughter was quite the adventurous one.
[2/10/2014 6:20:10 PM | Edited 6:21:16 PM] Schorcht: Malaika is outside jumping around, trying to not fall into imaginary lava. "Awwww.... do I HAVE tooo?" She whines.
[2/10/2014 6:22:28 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka gave a sigh, and smiled upon her one and only child. "Yes. It is getting quite late right now, and a filly your age should be in bed."
[2/10/2014 6:24:41 PM] Schorcht: "Aww... okay..." Malaika finally gave up her silly adventure for the lavagators tomb. Whatever that was. She sprints off back home with her tiny wings flapping, but despite all her effort she never left the ground.
[2/10/2014 6:27:19 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka giggled as she saw her daughter flapping her wings in an attempt to fly. But she knew that eventually she'd grow up enough to eventually fly. She lead her young filly back into her bar, trotting upstairs to a bed matress on the floor with a blanket on it.
[2/10/2014 6:28:45 PM] Schorcht: "When I grow up bigger can I stay up later mommy?" She bats her eyelashes and puts on big filly eyes.
[2/10/2014 6:31:16 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka laughed as she patted Malaika's head. "Of course my child. When we are bigger we have more energy to use. But now is not your time." She said as she trots into an old bookshelf, grabbing what appeared to be an ancient picture book from the shelf. Malaika knew she was going to read her THAT story again.
[2/10/2014 6:33:33 PM] Schorcht: Malaika jumps up and down on her bed. "Oh oh! I love it when you read that to me!" She jumps up high before just flopping down with a light thump. Her eyes wide with excitement.
[2/10/2014 6:35:28 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Ah, this story never gets old." She said as he layed down the old picture book in front of Malaika, with zebrican text on it. "Well, shall we begin?"
[2/10/2014 6:37:21 PM] Schorcht: Malaika nodded in anticpation. She almost couldn't contain herself, her smile was as wide as a mile.
[2/10/2014 6:41:40 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka turned to the first page in the book, which depicted a zebrish painting of what appeared to be a zebra carrying a spear on his back. "Once upon, a long long time after the banishment of Nightmare Moon, was there a hunter who lived with his tribe, who spent everyday making sure that his family and friends survived each day."
[2/10/2014 6:43:49 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka turned the page, depicting the "Hunter" seeing other drawings of zebras who appeared to be in misery, with dead crops shown drawn in the page. "The land they lived in had suffered greatly because of what Nightmare Moon had done. The crops were dying, the water became tainted, illness hit some of the tribemates the Hunter had grown to love."

[2/10/2014 6:48:01 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "The Hunter did all he could to defend his tribe as much as he can, but unlike a tiger, a disease cannot be slain with a spear." Soraka then turned the page. "And then, he met a mare, a Shamaness." She said, the page depicting the Hunter finding a robed zebra.

[2/10/2014 6:53:25 PM] Schorcht: Malaika clasps her hooves together. "Ooh! He's in love" She smiles.
[2/10/2014 6:56:12 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "The Ebony Kingdom you see my child is the domain which the spirits of Zebrica inhabbit. The Shamaness thought to seek out the Ebony Kingdom to find a spirit that could grant her her wish to restore the land to it's beauty." She then turned the page, depicting the Hunter placing one of his forehooves to his chest as the robed Shamaness smiled. "'Then I will escort you through these lands,' he said, 'and protect you from all dangers as you search for the Ebony Kingdom.'"
[2/10/2014 6:58:48 PM] Schorcht: Malaika gets up and tries to imitate the Hunter by placing one of her forehooves to her chest. "I will protect you from all dangers" She chuckled and took her seat back on the floor.
[2/10/2014 7:01:09 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka gave out a giggle as she imitated the Hunter, turning the page that depicted both the Hunter and the Shamaness traveling together. "And so the two went out on their journey to find the Ebony Kingdom. As days passed did the two come to know one another well, the Hunter became more in love with the Shamaness, but she did not appear to notice his feelings to her. But regardless did the Hunter do all to protect his new found love."
[2/10/2014 7:03:30 PM] TheWanderingZebra: She turned the page once more, showing the Hunter showing shock upon seeing a destroyed village. "As they traveled did the Hunter, who had never left the bounderies of his tribe, was exposed to the evil that plagued the land."
[2/10/2014 7:09:58 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka once again turned the page, depicting the Hunter who appeared to be fighting swarms of insectoid creatures who appeared in the same shape as ponies, defending the Shamaness at the same time. "But the Hunter fought back against this evil. May they be bandits, wild beasts, and even the dreaded Ogbanje, the Hunter fought them all, seeking to bring justice to those irredemable as he continued to travel with the Shamaness to find the Ebony Kingdom."
[2/10/2014 7:18:48 PM] Schorcht: Malaika gets up and kicks and swings and punches dramatically. "Yeah!" She ends with a large kick and falls to her back. "Did he ever find it?"
[2/10/2014 7:20:19 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Another page turn, which depicted the Hunter and the Shamaness near the entrance of an old temple. "And finally, after years of traveling together did they find the entrance to the Ebony Kingdom."
[2/10/2014 7:22:51 PM] TheWanderingZebra: She turned the page, which depicted the Hunter struggling against another, a rather grim and dark, zebra, who's eyes appeared to be painted a dark purple. "But there was a zebra who thought to corrupt the Ebony Kingdom, the Necromancer."
[2/10/2014 7:23:50 PM] Schorcht: Malaika gasps in fear, quickly she took solice in the comfort of her cover peeking out her head to listen to the story.
[2/10/2014 7:27:00 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "The Hunter and the Necromancer fought a long, and difficult battle, where the Hunter almost lost all hope." She then turned the page, which depicted the Shamaness in a glowing aura as she stands between a wounded Hunter and a frightened Necromancer. "You have protected me many times, now it is my turn to return the favor.' The Shamaness said as she summoned forth spirits of the land to weaken the Necromancer." She turned the page again, which depicted the Hunter striking against the Necromancer in a bright enchanted spear. "And allowed for the Hunter to bring a finishing blow to the Necromancer once and for all."

"And then finally, after so many adventures did the pair find the guardian of the Ebony Kingdom, the Impululu." She then turned the page, showing a sorrowful image of the guardian of the Ebony Kingdom. "But the deity who had brought prosperity for the country was dead now after the attack by Nightmare Moon, and they could not grant their wish without another to fill her role."

[2/10/2014 7:36:07 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka turns the page again as she smiles brightly. The page depicted the Shamaness saying something to the Impululu that brought it's spirits up, but surprised the Hunter. "'Then I shall take the place of the deity of prosperity, for my people and to the Ebony Kingdom.' The Shamaness said. But the Hunter did not want her to, for a mortal cannot spend all his time in a realm of spirits."
[2/10/2014 7:38:29 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka turned the page again, and while she was certainly smiling, tears began to form in her eyes. "'Do not worry my love, I will always be watching over you. And you will not be alone, for you have friends, family, a tribe, and the rest of the land that you have done good for.'" Soraka said as the next page showed the Shamaness embracing the Hunter in a hug.
[2/10/2014 7:40:09 PM] Schorcht: Malaika's ears droop as tears began to slowly flow. She gives off a sniffle.
[2/10/2014 7:43:22 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Once again did Soraka turned the page, showing the Hunter with his forehoof to his chest as his tribe followed him. "And so, the Hunter went back to the mortal realm, vowing to his love that he and his descendents would do all to keep the land of Zebrica a safer place, where justice and love prevaled over anarchy and hate. And he and his tribe set off to build a grand city, beginning a new era for their country as the Hunter became the first Caesar of the land. And they lived happily ever after." Soraka still apeared to be crying a bit as tears began to fall down onto the bed as she closed the book.

[2/10/2014 7:48:04 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka hugged Malaika back, smiling as tears still fell on her face. "I know my child ... I know. I just wish that you never leave me, you're all I have left."
[2/10/2014 7:49:18 PM] Schorcht: Malaika hugs her mom tighter. "I won't ever leave you mommy..."
[2/10/2014 7:51:05 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Thank you, Malaika." She appears to have cheared up more. After a moment of a mother-daugther hug did she get up to put away the book on the bookshelf. She then trots back to Malaika to tuck her into bed. "Well, it is late now, good night my child." She said, kissing Malaika on the forehead.

Family.

Family is something that many ponies and zebras see as a bond that is stronger than any form of love there is in the Wasteland. Even today in a world that had decayed for so long, is Family still a treasure many find irreplaceable today.

[2/10/2014 7:59:38 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry had once again been exploring the old junkyard a few yards away from the settlement she and her mother had lived in. There always seemed to be something new to discover here, almost like there was an endless supply of 'treasure' to be found buried within the junk of the old world.
[2/10/2014 8:03:13 PM] Schorcht: Cherry was tearing through the junk. Something had to be of value to her, perhaps a lost trinket of some old king, but she knew it was more likely the items of regular folk.
[2/10/2014 8:09:08 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Bottle, trash can, paper weight, ancient talisman of emmense power, an ancient book on the secrets of necromancy, and some manuscript for an unfinished Daring Do novel ... all of these were trash!

Oh, but what's this? Cherry, as she buries deeping the pile of useless junk could she a shiny metal beaming sunlight on it's surface. A robot perhaps?
[2/10/2014 8:11:14 PM] Schorcht: Cherry gasps. "Huzzah! My travels finally yeild rewards!" She quickly begins to try and reveal whatever the metal thing really was.
[2/10/2014 8:13:26 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry got ... a spritebot! However, it appeared to be damaged a bit, and looked like it could use some repairs. There appeared to be the words 'SecurityBot' written somewhere on it's duraframe. If Cherry recalls, there was that old repair pony who could repair it for her.
[2/10/2014 8:14:45 PM] Schorcht: Cherry's jaw almost drops. "Woah! It's almost completely intact!" She quickly looks around the surrounding areas for anything else to add to her treasure! It's her lucky day!
[2/10/2014 8:20:46 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry's search around the junkland eventually led her to discovering a few Gem Packs, 8 of them, hidden inside a lunch box. A few more minutes of searching around also gave her a pack of gum, a still full Sparkle-Cola, and some weird book, which upon searching through it was scribled with nonsense about some writer inventing a machine to communicate with aliens and take over the world and shit ... obviously this guy had lost his marbles a bit.
[2/10/2014 8:27:09 PM] Schorcht: Cherry was too excited to continue searching. She needed to get the bot back before anyone else came poking their nose in. She quickly stowed away her new things and went back for the robit. Wrapping her hooves around it she took the the sky flying as fast as she could back to her home, her smile could almost be visible from space.
[2/10/2014 8:40:57 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry eventually reached back into the settlement of Malt, where she had grown up in her entire life. Cherry can see the bar her mother worked and lived in with her daughter, as well as the sheriff's office, along with the other residents of the settlement. Most of them looked up in amazement of the beauty that was Cherry, some of them actually whisling to her. Cherry can eventually see the old repair pony's place where he lived.
[2/10/2014 8:43:52 PM] Schorcht: Cherry rolled her eyes. Eventually she made her way to the repair shop slowly lowering herself in attempts to not harm the robit further. She knocked on the door. "Hey! You home?!"
[2/10/2014 8:44:41 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry could hear the usual grumble coming from the inside of the building. He must be napping again, but it's a good thing the door was unlocked!
[2/10/2014 8:45:52 PM] Schorcht: Cherry barges in. "Hey! Seriously?! Do you not need something to do or what?" She scowls. "I found a robit, and if you'd fix it I'd so ever appreciate it"
[2/10/2014 8:48:28 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The middle aged brownish green earth pony stallion woke up in a alert. "Huh! Who? Wha?" He then seemed to calm himself down as he saw Cherry carrying the robit with her. "Little Miss Cherry that you? Now what you bring with you? That ain't from the minefield your mother told you to never explore again did you?"
[2/10/2014 8:52:00 PM] Schorcht: "Hey! I just need to figure out how to disarm the mines and I'm all set!" She smiles wryly. "I found Sprocket in the junkyard. He needs fixin, see" She sets the bot down.
[2/10/2014 8:52:54 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Uh, Sprocket?" The old earth pony asked in confusion, not knowing where that name came from.
[2/10/2014 8:54:30 PM] Schorcht: "Sprocket! The sprite bot! My sprite bot. The sprite bot your going to fix. The sprite bot Sprocket" Cherry emphasizes some of the words with wide gestures of her hoof.
[2/10/2014 8:55:43 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The old pony rubbed his back. "Ehh ... I'm hoping a get a decent pay? 100 caps do it for you miss?"
[2/10/2014 8:58:03 PM] Schorcht: Cherry shakes her head frantically while she spits out odd vowels and the like. "That's skyway robbery! I don't mean to deminish your skills, oh no! And I may not know much but I have to say 75 caps is worth a job well done no? At least for me right?" She puts on her best pouty face.

[2/10/2014 9:02:04 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The old stallion began examining the robit, using his screwdriver to open it to access the inside. "Hmm ... this is a bit trouble. Seems to be missing a few parts I need."
[2/10/2014 9:03:21 PM] Schorcht: "Bleh!" Cherry lots her tongue roll out of her mouth. "I knew it was too good to be true..." She lets out a sigh. "...can I find these parts somewhere?"
[2/10/2014 9:04:38 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Well, a few miles away there's an old electronics factory that's been shut down since the end of the war. Need about two Spark Batteries to get this thing running up again."
[2/10/2014 9:05:52 PM] Schorcht: "Oh! Pshaw! That'll be easy? Just two you say?" Cherry darts to the door and gets into a position to fly off like a bullet once she gets confirmation.
[2/10/2014 9:07:38 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Sigh ... her mother is going to have another word with her once she finds out."

Ah! Fresh air! And it's been far better since the cloud cover was removed two years ago as Cherry soaks up the warm energies of the sun. She can eventually see the factory that the old repair pony had mentioned a few miles away.
[2/10/2014 9:11:20 PM] Schorcht: "Target spotted. We clear to advance?" Cherry makes a static noise, moving her forehooves to her mouth. "Er, Roger that Cherry Commander. You are clear to advance." She smiles to herself. Not a moment more and she flys off as fast as she can towards the factory.
[2/10/2014 9:13:30 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry eventually makes her way towards the factory. It appears to have aged quite much since the last 202 years, but that's never stopped an adventurous mare like her from turning this into an adventure!
[2/10/2014 9:14:43 PM] Schorcht: However eager Cherry may be, she is not completely retareded. She gives the factory a few circling fly bys to make sure it's safe to explore.
[2/10/2014 9:18:19 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry doesn't seem to find anything out of the odd. It appears perfectly safe to her.
[2/10/2014 9:20:00 PM] Schorcht: "Sweet. The LZ is green light, I repeat, the LZ is green light" Cherry dives towards to ground pulling up slight to make contact with the ground trying to roll into a stride.
[2/10/2014 9:23:01 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Her roll succeeds, making it appear spectacular performance as she's now in front of the door.
[2/10/2014 9:25:09 PM] Schorcht: She takes cover on one side of the door. "Alright, now we get serious" She says as she starts to slowly open up the door and peer inside.
[2/10/2014 9:28:18 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Inside can Cherry see before her the front office of the old factory. An old terminal buzzes on the desk. There appeared to be two enterances, one on the left and one to the north.
[2/10/2014 9:31:07 PM] Schorcht: Cherry dives in with a roll. She makes sure she sticks as close to the ground as possible. With each step closer to the terminal Cherry's grin grows larger. Once there she takes a seat in front of this. "Alrighty, time to get into this here computer" A few seconds of mental preperation goes by before she turns on the computer. Perhaps it's actually unlocked.

[2/10/2014 9:35:11 PM] Schorcht: Cherry slams her hooves on the table. "Damnit! One of these days..." She then proceeds to hack into it normally.
[2/10/2014 9:35:44 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The second attempt fails as well. It seems that Cherry had spent most of her luck today.
[2/10/2014 9:36:34 PM] TheWanderingZebra: However, her third and final attempt appears to have suceeded, giving her access into the Terminal.
[2/10/2014 9:37:31 PM] Schorcht: "Huzzah! Third times the charm!" Wasting time wasn't her thing so she quickly dives in to find what secrets that may be hidden inside.
[2/10/2014 9:40:48 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Conspiracies against the ministry mares. War secrets being traded to the zebras. Some formula into creating a great megaspell of death and destruction. Boooooring! Here's something interesting, it appears to be an email ... the sender being titled "Your Wife".
[2/10/2014 9:42:30 PM] Schorcht: "Huh..." The low green light shining on Cherry's face. "..let's see what's up with 'Your Wife'." She opens the file.
[2/10/2014 9:44:20 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Honey, it's been so long since you've been home. The children have been lonely without you. I know with the war going on affecting everypony that you've had to stay at work more often. But couldn't you ever just take a vacation and come give me and the children a visit? - Sugar Sweets"
[2/10/2014 9:46:01 PM] Schorcht: "Ah, that's too bad. Workaholic..." She rummages through the computer to see if there is any other files on it.
[2/10/2014 9:46:58 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Other than that, she was left with all the boring crap that nopony would care about ... nopony.
[2/10/2014 9:48:31 PM] Schorcht: Cherry pouted. "Laaaaaaaaaaaaame" She rose from her chair and hovered on over to the door on the left, not even turning off the computer.
[2/10/2014 9:57:16 PM] TheWanderingZebra: As Cherry entered into the room did she took notice of the prints on the dusty floor. It looks like somepony earlier had come in here. Cherry was in an office complex with rows of broken desks around the place. There appeared to be a door leading into the main factory part of the room.
[2/10/2014 9:59:57 PM] Schorcht: Cherry's entire demenor changed. Her smile faded replaced with caution, her posture now more tense. "No more childplay..." She takes out 'Zaps' her trusty ol' Magical Energy Pistol. Her head swivels from side to side looking for traps, or signs of ambush as she slowly made her way to the next door.
[2/10/2014 10:04:39 PM] TheWanderingZebra: As Cherry entered into the factory room where rows of old unfinished radios lay around could she hear a conversation coming from the other side of the room. "Really? You think the boss taking a look on this will change his mind about taking over that Malt place?" A gruff voice could be heard.
[2/10/2014 10:06:20 PM] Schorcht: Cherry scowls, but keeps to the shadows trying to find a spot she can listen in and not be seen. She constantly tries to get a visual on the speakers in question.
[2/10/2014 10:13:10 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The voices don't appear to notice Cherry as she finds that she could hide underneath the desks the radios were on as she took notice of two griffins speaking to one another. "What? This place? What the hell could we use this for? All the fuck it's making is a bunch of lousy radios."

"Yeah, but we could always repurpose it. It'd be just like when we used to work for Red Eye, you know?"

"I really think this is a waste of time, but who knows, I could be wrong and you could be right. Let's get back to camp."
[2/10/2014 10:18:33 PM] Schorcht: Cherry stays hidden, her gun trained on the griffons if they should move too fast. Once they leave does she get out from her hiding spot. "What a pair of fucks..." She tries to spot the direction they leave in.
[2/10/2014 10:19:43 PM] TheWanderingZebra: They apear to be leaving through the same door that Cherry went through to get into this room.
[2/10/2014 10:22:47 PM] Schorcht: Cherry lets them leave. "Why in the fuck where they conversing in here?" She looks around for anything useful, and at the very least the robit supplies.
[2/10/2014 10:24:04 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It appears that the ponies at least had the decency to place spark batteries into about 5 of the radios before they all perished to the balefire bombs.
[2/10/2014 10:26:24 PM] Schorcht: Cherry takes all the batteries just in case, and heads back on out to go through the other room she didn't explore. She still has her battle mood on.
[2/10/2014 10:30:32 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Going into the other room could Cherry find herself inside another office complex, catching notice of the two griffins, whom appear to be looting the place just before they go back. They appear to be distracted to notice Cherry.
[2/10/2014 10:36:02 PM] Schorcht: Cherry sighs. Seriously? Can she not get a break from those two? She shakes her head and takes cover behind the nearest desk and aiming her iron sights at one of the looting griffons firing off 3 lasers or till he dies, whichever comes first. "What you fucks say about my home?!"

[2/10/2014 10:45:09 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The griffin that turns toward Cherry in surprise first gets a surprise blast from the first laser that Cherry shot towards him, which nearly turned him into fried chicken as he holds onto his life.

"Oh shit!" The other griffin said as he aimed his gun at Cherry, firing off two rounds towards her.
[2/10/2014 10:47:25 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Though, luckily for her, since she was in cover did none of them hit her, frustrating the griffin. The last griffin appeared to be breathing heavily, seeing no reason to involve himself in combat as he's barely close to death, crawling towards cover.

Her legs began to shake and she began to stumble, reaching a hoof out to stabilize herself. Only moments later did she throw up. That was the third centient being she has killed... it's never easy, but nopony threatens her mom. "...ugh..." She shakes her head. "I should head back... I got what I came for..." But she took one last quick look around this room for goodies before heading home.

[2/10/2014 11:37:25 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The old pony nods as he begins to do his work. It takes him about an hour of inserting all the right parts in, but finally does he manage to get Sprocket to operate, who hovers above as it makes beep boop noises.

As Cherry trots back towards home could she once again notice the normal citizens praising her once again as usual ... though, once at a distance does she catch whispers that appear to spite her. "A wing and a zebra, pfft." "I know right? Can't believe the sheriff is actually letting that thing live in here." "Not sure why the sheriff decided to even let that zebra in town in the first place though, town be better off without her."

[2/10/2014 11:53:06 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The bar appears to be a bit of a mess as a unicorn stallion begins throwing bottles of full drinks onto the floor. "The fuck kind of beer is this!" Soraka appeared to be one the scene trying to clean up the mess. "Please sir, if you don't like the drinks I brew you should leave now." Soraka said in an exhausted voice. "Pfft, and after I paid for this shit? I don't think so stripes!" He said kicking Soraka. The rest of the bar appeared to be silent, almost afraid to get into the fight.

[2/10/2014 11:58:26 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Now the crowd appeared to panic a bit, with a few customers running out of the bar in fear. The unicorn appeared frustrated that the little runt is ruining his day further. "Ah, fuck this place!" He said as he began to exit out of the bar, with Soraka still recovering a bit from the kick.
[12:01:53 AM] Schorcht: Cherry spins the gun a little and holsters it, quickly running to her mother. "Mom! Are you alright?!" She checks her for serious wounds?
[12:05:18 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Nothing too serious, just a big bruise on Soraka as she comes to. "Ugh ... Malaika? My child?" She said as she began to catch her breath.

A few gunshots could be heard coming from outside with the yell of a pony. A few moments later did Cherry see the sheriff trot on in, his rifle in his battle saddle smoking. "Is she alright. Celestia dammit I can't believe this happened again!" A few bullet wounds could be seen coming out of the sheriff.
[12:07:40 AM] Schorcht: "What? Did you just k-kill that pony?" Cherry blinks a few times.
[12:09:30 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Gave me no choice. Told him to come with me after I heard he caused shit, and he started shooting back. Ugh!" He said, grunting in pain from his wounds.

"Are you alright?" Soraka asked the sheriff as she gave him a worried look. "I'll be fine, I've been through worse." Soraka then turned to her daughter. "Malaika, could get a healing potion from the counter over there?" She said, pointing towards it.
[12:10:49 AM] Schorcht: "I shoulda just done him in when I had the jump on him..." She mummbles to herself, quickly running to get the potion and give it to the sheriff.
[12:12:23 AM] TheWanderingZebra: The sheriff gulps down the potion, giving a warm smile to Cherry. "Thanks."

It was then that Soraka took notice of Sprocket hovering above near Cherry. "Malaika? Where did you find this odd contraption? Please tell me you didn't go into any place dangerous again." She said with an exhaused sigh.
[12:14:32 AM] Schorcht: "Mother! Call me Cherry please" She sighs. "I totes didn't go nowhere. I found it... just outside of town. OH! And the old repair pony says hi"
[12:16:44 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Malaika, I don't know why you've prefered using the name your father prefered to give you. The name I gave to you was beautiful." Once again does Soraka sighed as the sheriff came to her side. "Look, we need to get you to the doc. I think he might of broken something." Soraka nods as she allows the sheriff to pick her up.
[12:17:41 AM] Schorcht: Cherry nods in agreement. "Please mother, go get better. I'll watch the story for now! Me and Sprocket got it covered!"
[12:19:13 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka is lead outside by the sheriff as everypony else begins to leave the place, not appearing to be in a good mood after what had just happened, leaving Cherry and Sprocket alone.
[12:19:56 AM] Schorcht: Cherry scruches her face. "I hope this doesn't ruin business..." She shakes her head and moves to clean up the mess that was just made.
[12:21:20 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Sprocket just hovers by as Cherry cleans up the place.
[12:22:19 AM] TheWanderingZebra: As she cleans the room could Cherry notice that the picture frame that was hung up on the wall had fallen down from the impact of Soraka colliding with the wall.

[12:26:15 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry can see a younger version of her mother along with an orange coated pegasus stallion smiling beside her ... Lightning Blitz, her father. Her mother in the picture appeared to be quite happy as well in the picture. Cherry recalls how they went through great lengths just to get a camara to work for them to make this.
[12:29:04 AM] Schorcht: Cherry lets out a large sigh. She runs a hoof across the picture. "Why'd you have to go dad?... Your wife and child need you... just like Sugar Sweets..." A tear begins to form in her eye.
[12:30:01 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "... My my, have you certainly grown up." A voice could be heard behind Cherry.
[12:31:36 AM] Schorcht: Cherry could of sworn she was alone. She turns around to see who would speak to her, and how they snuck up on her.
[12:32:33 AM] TheWanderingZebra: An amused chuckle could be heard coming from Sprocket. "My, no need to be alarmed Miss Cherry. It's just me speaking through your robot."
[12:33:17 AM] Schorcht: Cherry gasps. "Sprocket you can talk!?" Her face beams with joy.
[12:34:47 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "No, I'm not this "Sprocket", I'm merely just another person communicating through your robot. I happened to find his radio length come on, and curiosity led me to conversing with you, which, I never expected that I'd be speaking with his daughter."

[12:40:10 AM] Schorcht: "How do you know my dad?" She draws her gun. "Tell me!"
[12:42:03 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "It won't really do much good shooting down your own robot, because I will still be alive." He said with an amused chuckle. "How I know your father, well, let's say I hired him for a job a few 5 years ago. I remember him mentioning you and his wife as the reason he kept searching around for whatever way to make the most caps. A brash fellow, but he had potential when I first hired him."
[12:43:49 AM] Schorcht: Cherry looks defeated putting her gun away. Duh. "Hired him for what? Or better yet, what's taking him 5 years?" She blinks. "You sent him to his death didn't you!?"
[12:44:50 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Hm? No, he could be alive for all I know. Maybe he's dead, maybe not. I don't really have methods to get in touch with him."
[12:45:41 AM] Schorcht: This doesn't go over well with Cherry as she lets out a snort. "Well what a coincidence eh? What did you hire him for?"
[12:46:17 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "The same thing I'm hiring ponies for right now. Zebrica."
[12:47:51 AM] Schorcht: "Your hiring MORE ponies?! Your throwing masses to the unkown?! To Ze-..." Cherry cocks her head. "....Zebrica..." Her word soft as a whisper.
[12:48:47 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Why yes. There's something I've want founded in there for many years. I could always gone there myself but, because of my condition ... I have no choice but to hire others to find it for me."
[12:49:56 AM] Schorcht: "What condition? What can cause you to stay away from something for so many years?"
[12:51:26 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "It's ... something I rather don't like to share with many. If you and the rest of the expedition group gets to my beach resort, then I'll reveal it."

[1:00:51 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "50,000 caps for each member. Its enough to get a pony into Tenpony Tower or Friendship City ... if, Friendship City existed now that is."
[1:03:14 AM] Schorcht: "Fuck.... that's a fair ammount of caps... so when can I get this to buy things?"
[1:05:13 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "Once you've found what I'm looking for in Zebrica. I'll go into more detail about it once you've reaced my beach resort, which is north of this city, just 2 days away. If I were you, I'd say my goodbyes to my mother. She would be in a panic to hear her own daughter disappearing on her without knowing where she went."
[1:07:04 AM] Schorcht: "Then that's hardly hiring somepony.... it's more like.. betting... can't I get half now at the very least? Perhaps just sent here so my mom can live well off without me?..." Cherry's posture slouches.

If you agree, then I'll send half the payment to your mother. If you don't, then, I might consider someone else, and leave your mother and you to suffer under this town's prejudice against you. It won't matter how much some ponies may be able to sympathize with you, they are simply outnumbered by those who despise your kind."
[1:11:05 AM] Schorcht: Cherry jumps up and opens her wings to float down. "You got yourself a deal mister...?"
[1:12:43 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "I'd like to save my name for when we meet in person. I like it better that way."
[1:14:10 AM] Schorcht: "Oh~ Mister Mysterio. I gotcha!" Cherry strikes a pose. "I hereby agree to lead your band of expoditioners to find-...?" She blinks. Damn all this missing information.
[1:15:26 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "All will be revealed so- *hizzz* Urgh, the single on th- *hizz* well I'll catch you later, ta ta." After that, the speaker on Sprocket goes silent.
[1:17:09 AM] Schorcht: Cherry taps Sprocket a few times. "Huh" She stands silent for a few moment. "Were gunna be rich~ We're gunna be rich~" She dances around Sprocket. "Careful Cherry. Your crew needs you. Pack your things we're heading to the beach!"
[1:19:15 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka appeared to have returned to the bar, her head bandaged up as she gave a smile towards Cherry, assuming she was playing in her fantasy dreams again with her new robot companion.
[1:20:13 AM] Schorcht: Cherry smiles brightly and rushes to hug Soraka. "Guess what moth-.. mom"
[1:20:44 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka smiled back to her child. "Yes, what is it my child?"
[1:22:13 AM] Schorcht: Cherry opens her mouth to say something put all happiness leaves her. She remembers something she said 9 years ago. "...I'm leaving you..." She quickly replies. "But! It's for 50,000 caps! And we get half right away!"
[1:24:41 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka appeared shocked at what her daughter just said, looking at her in disbelief for a few moments, shaking her head ... and appears to have accepted this as reality. She frowned, hugging her daughter. "... Nothing I can say will stop you from leaving, just as before when you go out to explore dangerous places."
[1:26:12 AM] Schorcht: "It's not forever! I promise! I won't ever leave you forever" She hugs Soraka tighter.
[1:27:07 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "... That's what he promised when he left. He said that he would find enough money to get us to live in a better place." Soraka said as she begun to cry.
[1:29:51 AM] Schorcht: "I'm going after him too! That's the upside! I'll bring him home!" She starts to tear up too.
[1:30:37 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "... Do you really believe he can be found after so many years? I've come to accept that he died somewhere."
[1:31:31 AM] Schorcht: "I can at least try..."
[1:32:08 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "... Let me get something for you before you leave." Soraka said, trying to remain calm as she trots upstairs.
[1:32:49 AM] Schorcht: "...okay..." She nods, and turns to Sprocket. "You best be worth the risk..."
[1:35:10 AM] TheWanderingZebra: She then comes down, the picture book held by her tail, and a leather bracelet of sorts with a bead with a zebra symbol designed on it. She first gives Cherry the bracelet. "It's something I wore back when I used to live in my tribe." She then gives the picture book to Cherry. "And please, take this. I know that you might of gotten tired of hearing the tale over and over, but I hope it reminds you of the fun times we had together the nights I read that story to you when you were only a filly."
[1:36:35 AM] Schorcht: Cherry reembraces the hug. "You'll be well taken care of... Don't spend it all in one place now..."
[1:37:29 AM] TheWanderingZebra: "I'll be fine. The sheriff is planning to hire a bodyguard for my business ... so everything will be alright Malaika."
[1:38:19 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Sprocket just hovers by, not really cabable of expressing any emotion in such a beautiful scene.
[1:39:32 AM] Schorcht: "I hope so..." She breaks the hug and takes the bracelet and was about to put the book in her bag, but she stopped. "Read to me one last time?..."
[1:40:23 AM] TheWanderingZebra: Soraka smiled at Cherry with tears in her eyes. "Of course my child ... one, last time ..."
[1:44:38 AM] TheWanderingZebra: And so, would our heroes, Cherry, and her newfound companion Sprocket, begin a journey to search out for Cherry's father and reunite her family once more ... but what they don't realize, is that they have gotten themselves into something far more bigger than they've realized.

That is, unless, you've started to build up a reputation that the person in question is familiar with, which in that case if you failed the Negociation check instead will he be able to attack you as if it's a sneak attack first.**
