  2. Retina-Light Sensitive layer of skin in the inner eye that will change light into a series of chemicals and set off nerves in the brain.
  3. Lens-Helps the cornea with refracting the light that is sent into the eye into the retina so that it can be used as information.
  4. Cornea-The Cornea is the outermost part of the eye that covers the eye and is responsible for refracting and focusing the light into specific parts of the eye and is fixed on its position.
  5. Pupil-The pupil allows the light that is sent to the eye to be sent to the retina. It is a hole in the eye that can change to allow different amounts of light into the eye at any one time.
  6. Ciliary Muscle-It controls the blood supply to parts of the eye and changes the shape and size of the lens within the eye so that it will affect the eye in different ways.
  7. Suspensory ligaments- This supports the eye in place in the body so that it won’t move out of place in the body.
  8. Refracted Light-It is the change of direction due to the change in the transmission medium and surface that it is travelling in.

  10. Long Sighted-This is caused by the eyeball being too short and so the lens is unable to focus on objects that are close to you but can focus on objects that are in the distance.
  11. Near Sighted-This is caused by the eyeball being too long and so the lens cannot focus again but this causes sight to be better in short distances but will struggle to see clear objects at a long distance.
