  1. The History of the Krosmoz!
  2.
  3. You want to know more about Islands of Wakfu and the rest of the history of the Krosmoz? Then read on!
  4.
  5. First, the Krosmoz. Islands of Wakfu takes place in the World of Twelve, 10,000 years before the era of Dofus. This same world is located in the Krosmoz, a giant galaxy shaped like an egg and not the only one of its kind. As Qilby said, "Where does the Krosmoz begin? Where does it end? No one knows."
  6. The Krosmoz consists of several parts:
  7. - Incarnam, an island that hovers in the air. High above everything else, it is here that souls incarnate.
  8.
  9. - Ingloriom, the dimension of the Gods. A true paradise...
  10.
  11. - The Shukrute, the dimension of Shushus, and Rushu their king. He tries in vain to invade the world, despite the pact he formed with the gods. What do you want, he's a demon!
  12.
  13. - The Astral Plane, the dimension where dreams and ideas mix, mingle and meet... It is said that mages project themselves into this place to do a little astral travelling...
  14.
  15. - The Ether, the kernel of the Krosmoz where Wakfu and Stasis meet to shower their particles over the material plane...
  16.
  17. - The Material Plane, the location of billions of planets, including the World of Twelve.
  18.
  19. - Externam, where souls are expelled from the Krosmoz.
  20.

  22.
  23. As we see in the image, Wakfu enters at the top of the Krosmoz, creative energy that creates life. It passes into Incarnam, where all the souls of the Krosmoz are incarnated. Incarnam is overflowing with Wakfu. When a plant, insect or even a human dies, his soul returns to Wakfu to be reborn. Everything comes from Wakfu, and everything returns to Wakfu. It's an endless cycle.
  24.
  25. At the other end of the Krosmoz, where Externam lies, Stasis enters. Stasis is blocked Wakfu, which has stagnated and become hard and purple/red, and very dangerous as well. When Wakfu is blocked for too long, it is unrecoverable and turns into pure Stasis, which explodes when shaken. Stasis is thus destructive energy, it destroys everything in its path, all forms of life... Externam is proof: it's a great drain in the Krosmoz...
  26.
  27. The two energies, Wakfu and Stasis, balance in the Krosmoz. Stasis destroys Wakfu, which perpetually renews itself. To master Wakfu for your own use, you must understand the balance between Stasis and Wakfu or face certain destruction.
  28.
  29. 10,000 years ago, in the age of the islands of Wakfu and the goddess Eliatrope, the Eliatrope people knew the power of Wakfu and used it for the good of the world. In this world was a council of six Eliatropes and the six Dragons with whom they were born in the same Dofuses: Grougaloragran and Chibi; Efrim and Nora; Adamaï and Yugo; Shinonome and Qilby; Glip and Baltazar; Faëris and Mina.
  30.
  31. Qilby is an Eliatrope scientist, he created the Wik-fi network and the Zaaps with the prophet Chibi. They also invented new models of Eliacubes.
  32.
  33. Yugo himself invented the Eliacube, an intelligent computer that followed him everywhere and accumulated data.
  34.
  35. Glip is the priest of the cult of the goddess, member and founder of the Eliatrope council. He is responsible for initiating the newborns into the art of Wakfung (combat). He is choleric and jealous and full of secrets...
  36.
  37. Mina, priestess of the cult of the goddess, council member, is the head of the Eliatrope Sanctuary. This is the path of wisdom. She likewise initiates newborns.
  38.
  39. Nora is only a child, but already a great Eliatrope warrior. Her disputes with Glip barred her from the gates of the sanctuary, so she trained without rest with her Dragon brother Efrim. She became an expert in Wakfung and teleportation. Later, she defeated Orgonax with the help of the Platypus and the goddess, but in doing so destroyed everything...
  40.
  41. A few years previously, they were driven from their homeland by Mechasms, a Stasist race whose sole aim was destruction. Negotiations were impossible, they wanted one thing: to destroy.
  42.
  43. The Mechasms being too powerful, the Eliatropes designed a spaceship capable of travelling the entire Krosmoz: the Zinit. The six Dragons (Grougaloragran, Efrim, Adamaï, Shinonome, Baltazar and Faëris) carried the Zinit to fly it faster and more easily through the Krosmoz. They wandered for years. They stopped on each planet they crossed to replenish their ship's Wakfu, but each was barren and lifeless.
  44.
  45. Until the day they found a planet full of Wakfu. The vegetation was lush, the grass was green, the trees were healthy, the flowers were fragrant: the World of Twelve. Soon, their people had recovered. But a threat came, the most terrible Mechasm: Orgonax. How had it found their tracks? Qilby was suspected of betraying them. He went into exile to Mount Zinit, followed by Orgonax, destroying everything in its path.
  46.
  47. It is in this threatened world that the history of Islands of Wakfu takes place. You embody Nora and Efrim, and you must save the world... exciting, no?
  48.
  49. So. Orgonax destroys everything in its path, blah blah blah... Then you reach the summit of Mount Zinit, Nora throws a fit, creates a huge explosion that destroys everything and there you have it.
  50.
  51. A little before that we also learn that all the Eliatrope children were moved to a dimension severed from the world: Emrub, protected by Baltazar. Qilby was also moved there by Yugo and Adamaï, to save him. In the Wakfu series, it is said that Qilby is king. But that's not quite right. We learn the truth in Islands of Wakfu: Chibi, at his death, bequeathed the throne to Yugo. Qilby became furious and was believed to have led Orgonax to their world, and that is why he went into exile. In the series, we can assume that Qilby hides this from Yugo so as to avoid a heavy responsibility, and that perhaps he'll tell him later...
  52.
  53. And so, everything is destroyed, the Eliatropes and their Dragons return to their respective Dofuses, and the Eliatrope race disappears from the surface of the World of Twelve.
  54.
  55. In the era of Dofus, there are Eliatrope artifacts that prove their existence, like the ancient ruins beneath the foundations of Astrub. But apart from the ruins, not much else... The best preserved are probably those of the island of Sakaï, where there are stones engraved with Eliatrope letters, "EMRUB". But is is Nail (N) who wrote these or the ancient Eliatropes? Nobody knows! (Except Nail, of course.)
  56.
  57. But the only solid remainder of the Eliatropes is the Zaaps. Yes! They work in Wakfu, and the Eliatropes invented them! Ingenious, isn't it?
  58.
  59. 1000 years after the era of Dofus, in the era of Wakfu, that's it, we've rediscovered how to use Wakfu! In the series, Yugo makes his appearance with Adamaï. Qilby returns and Chibi is reborn. In short, Eliatropes are making a comeback!
