Storyline:
Surprisingly, Samuel is a descendant of the Hilaria family, the same one that Agape comes from. What the specific origins are is a mystery now, but what Samuel does know is that, four centuries ago, the family moved overseas, and a mishearing of their last name resulted in their name becoming Heller instead of Hilaria, and that about 50 years later, the Hellers were attacked by a werebear, resulting in their family inheriting an odd condition, referred to by the family as “the family curse”, where those who shared the Heller bloodline would be werebeasts. As time has gone on, however, it has begun disappearing, and now there are only a few werebeasts in the Heller line. Samuel is one of the youngest and newest of them, and alongside the “curse”, he also had gained a very feminine appearance, to the point that he had to deal with being considered a girl through his first grades, and having to suffer constant teasing from both sides.
At around the age of 7, the “curse” began showing itself. At his age, he found it quite horrifying, and it was around that time that he began to separate himself from people. This continued into his teenage years, where he soon had to deal with much more constant threats, and began to develop the strength that he has now. Despite being able to easily fight and defend himself, however, he did poorly in high school, and he never graduated. Instead, at 18, he decided he couldn’t stay where he was, and he decided to leave in order to find somewhere he could stay, and be able to avoid ridicule and fear – the former from his feminine appearance, the latter from his “curse”. However, as he travelled, he quickly found out that, even though he might be able to escape being treated differently for looking like a girl, he would never be able to escape the fear his transformation would stir in people. And so, instead of trying to find somewhere he would belong, he decided to see if he could simply find the perfect “den” to stay at – a place where he could be a human during the day, and a bear during the night.

Personality:
~ Thanks to his condition, Samuel is against being around people for extended periods of time. This is especially the case when the sun begins setting, as this is when his nightly transformation begins. At this point, he becomes purposefully aggressive, to the point that he will literally throw people out of his way in order to get away from civilization as quickly as possible.
~ Although his appearance is that of a woman, he is rather poor at acting feminine. He generally comes off as a rather masculine tomboy, which doesn’t always work in his favor, but it does result in him generally being able to get along with women a little better.
~ Samuel is horrible at taking jokes, particularly about himself. He doesn’t like being made fun of at all, and while he would often end up having to just take it while he was very young, nowadays he’s more liable to badly hurt someone who does so.
~ Much like an actual bear, Samuel has a natural curiosity and likes to explore things that he finds interesting or suspicious. Sometimes, this curiosity overcomes his fear of people, and he will actually wait until night time before attempting to visit a place – being a bear DOES scare a lot of people off. Of course, this same course of action often guarantees he gets away as quickly as possible from wherever, lest he ends up sparking a bear hunt.

Weapons & Abilities:
* Survival Tools
Whilst Samuel is human, he has a set of weapons that he uses for both combat and general survival. These consist of a machete, shotgun, and log cutting axe. Whilst all three are fairly normal weapons and have no special properties, Samuel is perfectly capable of using them rather effectively. The machete and axe serve as his close-range weapons – he is quite fast with both of them – and the shotgun serves as a ranged weapon for when the opponent is too far away otherwise. He carries several rounds for when he runs out of bullets, as well.
* Wrestling skill
Partially thanks to being a werebeast, Samuel is naturally good at grappling techniques. As this relies more on his own strength, which is more than enough to kill a person, he only uses this as a last resort, or more often, when he cannot use his weapons. His grapples are generally used to cripple, so many of his attacks are capable of breaking a bone or two.
* Werebear Abilities
Alongside knowing these skills, Samuel also gains some benefits in his human state from being a werebeast. For one, he has superhuman strength and stamina, and is also quite fast. Even if a person is faster than him, he has the stamina to be able to keep up most of the time, and he is pretty good at outlasting others. His strength is only a little below the equivalent of a bear, which means that he is definitely capable of killing someone in a single blow. However, most of the time, he actually uses this strength to add power to grapples.
* The Family Curse
As noted before, Samuel is capable of transforming into a bear. This change occurs every night that a moon is visible, although Samuel is capable of forcing the transformation during the day if he needs to.
While transformed, Samuel looks much like a brown bear. However, his eyes remain the same color, and his fur is the same color as his hair, if maybe a little darker. He is incapable of speech, although he still has the mind of a human and can understand others. He becomes nigh-immune to many attacks, although psychic attacks are still as effective on him as on a normal human, and he is weak to blessed items and holy magic.

Appearance:
* Samuel’s hair is long, about halfway down his back, and is semi-curly. He keeps his hair in a bun, so that it doesn’t impair his vision at all.
* Samuel’s general appearance is rather feminine, although some of his muscles are pretty defined. He wears various shirts, both short-sleeved and long-sleeved, depending on the season, climate, and weather. He also wears thick pants with many pockets, and a belt with many spots for storing his various tools and weapons.
* One of Samuel’s signature pieces of clothing is a coat of fur that he almost always has. He often wears this during the winter, although during the summer he wears it much like a belt. The coat is actually made of hair that he shed whilst in his transformed state, and managed to collect later. For this reason, it doesn’t look as nice as most fur coats, but he really doesn’t get rid of it – if he outgrows it, he just collects more hair and extends it by hand.
