Mai and Anon Date

Anon and Mai arranged to meet in town. With her status as a pop idol they could only talk and meet in secret. Even though Anon was concerned they'd be found out Mai encouraged him by saying it would be fine and that she could wear a disguise and that they could be all alone. It had been a while since they had any alone time together and so he succumbed to her suggestion. He was just as eager to see her especially without a chaperone or entourage involved.

 

Mai covered up with what she thought was a decent disguise. With the weather cooling down she could put on a long jacket and heavy scarf without being uncomfortable. The problem was her choice of pink clothes and the fact she topped off the costume with thick hot-pink sunglasses. Anon wasn't convinced by it and easily picked her out of the crowd 'Are you sure this is going to work?' He whispered.

 

'It'll be fine! I've never gotten busted before.' Mai took Anon's hand and pulled him towards the shopping district. He was distracted by her touch and didn't put up a fight. She pulled him around to go window shopping. When she saw something she liked Mai rested her sunglasses on her head to get a good look 'Oh hey that's cute!' She dragged Anon inside and pulled a sweater off the rack to show it off for Anon 'What do you think?'

 

Anon was too focused on her big brown eyes 'Looks good.'

 

One of the store employees, a perky young woman with dyed blonde hair walked over. She must have sniffed out a potential purchase 'You look good in that! Would you like to try it on?' She stopped in her tracks as she saw Mai's face 'You look familiar, are you a model or something?'

 

'A m-model?' Mai nervously giggled 'Oh I wish I was that famous!' Mai took the sweater and hooked it on the skirt rack. She took Anon's hand again and ran for the door 'Uh, thanks for letting us look around!'

 

The two of them sprinted out of the store and into the safety of the crowd. Anon was ready to scold Mai for not sticking to her disguise and laying low like she promised she would but she took his arm and her chest brushed against him. All was forgiven. They managed to go unnoticed for a while, happily walking around and the even managed to have lunch together without the waitresses or other diners figuring out who she was.

 

It seemed like they'd get away with it. Then, while walking, one of Milky Pop's songs came over the speakers from a record store 'You like this one?' Mai joked 'You know they say I sing just like girl in this song.' Mai started humming to the song and her voice got more powerful until, as if by instinct, she started singing along to the song.

 

People took notice, especially a group of middle-school girls who rushed over with their phones ready. Soon a circle formed around Mai and Anon. Their secret date had gone awry, there was flashes from cameras and people shoving slips of paper in Mai's direction asking for autographs, even from people that didn't look like they even knew who she was. 'Oh my god it's Mai!' girls would squeal. The sight of her holding Anon tightly made the crowd woo and gasp. 'Is that guy your boyfriend?'

 

'S-sorry.' Mai blushed and gripped Anon's hand tightly 'I guess I blew it.'
