  3. (5:10:36 PM) Lucifer: i just had to order a new one .... fun stuff
  4. (5:10:44 PM) db100547: 39 with the 5V being higher in wattage than the 12V .
  5. (5:10:54 PM) guest_52: guitar_man: can i pm you
  6. (5:11:00 PM) guitar_man: guest_52: WINDOWS-782... this your macine/
  7. (5:11:09 PM) guest_39: what ive resorted to doing was unplugging everything from the motherboard (RAM, CPU, etc.) and the fan still kicks on. If it helps, this particular problem happened when i closed the case a lil hard
  8. (5:11:30 PM) guest_39: could i have possible damaged the motherboard or one of the wires?
  9. (5:11:45 PM) guest_52: guitar_man: here is the scan id
  10. (5:11:47 PM) guest_52: ScanID: db4d5164
  11. (5:11:59 PM) guitar_man: guest_52: ok hang on
  12. (5:12:06 PM) db100547: 39 As i just said , those items that fire up work off 12 V . it probably that the 5v out of the PSU has failed .
  13. (5:12:25 PM) guest_39: how would i fix it?
  14. (5:12:33 PM) guest_52: ok
  15. (5:12:35 PM) db100547: 39 and as you have disconnected everything from the mobo . then the only thing left is your PSU
  16. (5:13:28 PM) guest_39: like i stated, i closed the case a lil hard, could i have damaged a wire or the motherboard?
  17. (5:13:31 PM) db100547: 39 easy , get a new PSU , the same as the one that is installed , like talke the psu out , go to the local PC shop , and get one the same , or , contact DELL , but likely that will cost more.
  18. (5:14:31 PM) db100547: 39 always posssible . , but unlikely . however , check the 24 way connector to the motherboard , make sure it is seated fully .
  19. (5:15:12 PM) guest_39: by any chance is there a fuse inside the PSU?
  20. (5:15:49 PM) db100547: 39 also check ram memory chips are seated fully , then with just those checked , and ONLY those on the MOBO , and with a video /keyboardconnected , turn it on .
  21. (5:16:21 PM) guest_39: ok, ill try
  22. (5:16:27 PM) guitar_man: guest_52: the site is giving me grief , hang on please
  23. (5:16:33 PM) db100547: 39 it should give you a bios message , and some beeps . indicating that there is no hard disk attached!
  24. (5:16:42 PM) guest_52: guitar_man: ok no problem
  25. (5:17:51 PM) mode (+b *!*@*.hsd1.ct.comcast.net) by bigbadwolf
  26. (5:18:48 PM) db100547: 39 yes there is a fuse in the psu , but generally it is soldered to the circuit board , but that doesn't apply ans your getting some devices working
  27. (5:19:12 PM) You have been kicked by bigbadwolf: (bigbadwolf)
