  1. Here's a lil' story based on the Rarity Takes Manehattan episode. It involves an alternative ending when Rarity's friends really do leave her, and when she comes back to tell them she's going back to Ponyville she snaps a bit when she's told that she lost.
  2.
  3. Everything had gone off without a hitch and she was finally going to get what she deserved. The pony mused over the what the future would bring, unable to comprehend how she lived in that rundown one horse town Ponyville. Suri Polomare wasn't some push over anymore, the mare learned from her mistakes in the first few weeks in Manehattan. It was a dog eat dog city, and she intended to be the biggest in the pack. She was one step closer to her dreams, and it was all thanks to that fashionista Rarity.. Suri would have to thank her for the opportunity the next time she saw her, though Rarity was probably halfway back to Ponyville by now bawling her eyes out.
  4.
  5. Suri stepped out into the muggy afternoon, the sun hazy overhead as it tried to cut through the lingering humidity left over from the showers. Her gaze turned from the crowded streets to the breath taking skyline above. The mare loved this city, it was so alive with the sights and sounds of the busy and important, and soon she'd be one of them. The skyscrapers towered overhead, dwarfing the older ones, the simple structures lost in the shadow of the behemoths. Even those were better than the buildings in that sink hole Rarity came from, something-or-otherville.
  6.
  7. The lavender mare waved at a passing taxi, leaving Coco Pommel behind to gather her prize winning outfits and supplies. A stallion came to a hard stop in front of Suri, the last remnants of the rain dripping from his slick coat as the taxi car he lugged behind him rocked to and fro. She hopped into the back seat and lay on her side, giving his flank a little swat as she directed him to the swankiest eatery she could think of, the local diner.
  8.
  9. Suri grew restless as the taxi was interrupted by frequent stops, the bustling metropolis was busier than normal at this time of day. The taxi stallion cursed under his breath as he found himself going against traffic with the mare berating him to move faster along with the occasional flick of the ear. He turned into a side alley to bypass the chaotic scene, trudging along at a quicker pace through the empty side path.
  10.
  11. The mare let out a happy sigh as she was away from the chaos of the city. Sometimes she missed life back in Ponyville, though it was as constricting as this alley, keeping her from reaching her true potential. Her train of thought was interrupted by the sound of water dribbling down and spattering against her hooves and the roof of the cab, but the return of a little bit of rain wouldn't sour her mood. Something wet and heavy slapped across her face, the sound of the cursing stallion muffled as a mass of purple ropes seemed to fill the path. The silky curtain was wet with the day's rain, the taxi cab lost in the thick forest as it trudged on through the mass. The taxi cabin tilted to and fro from the obstacles all around it, Puri gripped the seat and yelled to pull harder. Her voice was muffled in the wet mass surrounding them, the stallion losing footing several times before crouching down and bolting forward with a strong leap, tugging the taxi cab free from the mess. She took a gasp of relief, holding a hoof to her muzzle as she caught the scent of a mix of wet dog and fine shampoo. Did someone install a heavy duty car wash in an alleyway? Puri didn't want to stay around to find out, urging the stallion forward as he hurried down the path towards the intersecting street.
  12.
  13. The sudden downpour and rampaging stage curtain puzzled Suri, but not as much as the dark sky overhead. She had never seen a sky so stark grey and dark, almost as if it was about to unleash all it's contents at once. Puri rummaged through the back of the cart looking for her umbrella, she wouldn't be caught off guard again. Her head slammed back with whiplash as the cart jolted to a halt, the stallion sprawled on his belly in a daze. Maybe they'd hit something when they left the alleyway, another taxi perhaps? Whoever the pony was that got in her way would pay for delaying her from a celebratory hot meal.
  14.
  15. Puri's furious expression turned to one of utter shock and confusion as she saw a pearly grey pillar filling half the street. Had there always been a building here? There was a sudden sound of distant thunder, shaking the ground beneath her as the cart lurched over and sent her tumbling into the muddy street. The gray monolith began to do the impossible, lifting from the ground, bits of asphalt and splinters of wood and mortar sprinkling from the bottom of it as it rose higher and higher. Her gaze was transfixed on the huge indentation left in the road, taking up a full lane, leaving a print like it was nothing but sand.
  16.
  17. A horrible sound broke her from the trance, a bastard child of a giggle and a thunder cloud reverberated through the city street. The pink mare's gaze rose, the bottom of the pillar speckled with dirt and rock hovering above her.
  18.
  19. Rarity towered above the buildings, only the skyscrapers defeated her might. Puri looked over to the other column of grey, bricks and dust sprinkling around it as it shifted slightly, causing the building that it was nestled against to collapse. The grey mare's once luxurious mane was limp and wet from the previous rain, eyes glazed and empty. Everything that she wanted was taken from her by this little speck of a pony sprawled in the muddy street beneath her gigantic hoof. A small smile spread along her muzzle, the icy glare soon blotted out from view as the gigantic leg lowered downward. Suri tried to scream, but nothing would escape her trembling lips, her own hooves lifted up in desperation as the gigantic sole plummeted downward. The stallion was long gone by the time the hoof began to brush against the mare's legs, her breathing ragged and shallow as the unimaginable tonnage caressed her almost teasingly. Only a little shift of the hoof and Puri would become nothing but a piece of discarded gum on the bottom of some filly's hoof.
  20.
  21. The scream finally came as the hoof began to press downward, the lavender mare's legs burning with exhaustion as she pressed uselessly against the growing pressure. Her own hooves seemed to sink into the gigantic sole, the fuzzy flesh yielding slightly to her struggles as the musty scent made her gag. The fuzzy hoof ground against her teasingly as it found its' way to her chest, the gigantic pony cooing softly as she could feel the rapid rise and fall of the chest of the frightened Puri. Rarity's impossibly soft sole pinned the tiny pony against the street, body sprawled and whimpering jibberish as the mud and sweat stained wall squeezed her body against the cold street...
