  1. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
  2.
  3. My alarm clock buzzes to life annoyingly. Whatever peaceful respite I had is immediately shattered by this necessary demon on my shelf. I reach out and, with more force than I should, slam my hand down on its surface. The beeping stops. Glancing at the clock tells me that its time for my morning routine and I get up to do so.
  4.
  5. "Whszzzzhilllreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
  6.
  7. While eating breakfast I hear this hair raising but distant sound. No amount of listening in gives me any indication as to where and how close it is. Its like some sort of annoying humming you can't quite tune out, I do you best to ignore it, and continue with my breakfast. On my way out the door I feel this weight upon my body I can't quite describe. My vision blurs. The door to my home fades into something I can't quite recognize. For a brief moment I see the side of a building with strange symbols I can't quite make out. As I'm about to question this sudden change of scenery everything snaps back to normal, it happens so fast I temporarily lose my balance and lean against the wall, I look at my now familiar door with what must be shock on my face. Everything is as it should be. I must have not gotten any real rest last night. I lock the door and continue on my way.
  8.
  9. "Wwwwwwhhhhzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
  10.
  11. On my way to the subway I hear this noise again, louder and more prominent than before. Once again I am unable to pinpoint just how and where this sound is coming from. As I attempt to ignore this annoying sound on this already annoying morning a sharp pain rattles my head. I stop walking as a sharp, sudden, dizziness almost makes me black out, I groan and hold my head in my palms in a vain attempt to shake this feeling. When the dizziness fades I suddenly find myself in what must be some sort of waking dream, I'm not on the way to the subway anymore as I'm now standing in the middle of what appears to be a courtyard of skyscrapers. All around me are people with brightly colored clothes and hair walking and chatting in some language I can make out. The buildings surrounding me have some sort of holographic symbols similar to the ones I saw back at home along with pictures of various things and animations of some kind. I'm starting to think that I might not be okay today. I collect my thoughts only for a few seconds, I need some sort of answer to this madness. I reach out with my hand as I call out to a passing man.
  12.
  13. "Excuse me! Sir!"
  14.
  15. My hand passes right through his shoulder. Right. Through. Him. I pause mid step.
  16.
  17. "What?"
  18.
  19. I collect myself just in time to see a woman walk right through me.
  20.
  21. "Whats... Going on? Why is this happening?"
  22.
  23. Then I hear that noise again.
  24.
  25. "WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"
  26.
  27. "ARGH!"
  28. I grab my head, this sound is far more intense than anything prior. I can feel the invisible weight press on my body again along with its friend the painful dizziness. I'm brought to my knees by the sudden influx of negativity but like all the times before it lasted only for a moment. As I recover from the onslaught I suddenly realize I'm standing in front of the ticket booth to the subway and as I turn my head to scan and confirm my location I find myself in front of a line of impatient people. Not wanting to look like a bigger creep than I already am I quickly grab my card and and swipe it into the slot, the turnbuckle unlocks and I quickly make my way to my platform to escape the pressure. In hindsight I probably should have just left the subway and went straight home and called in sick. I didn't get to though. My train pulled into the platform just as I had the thought.
  29.
  30. "WHWHWHBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
  31.
  32. I grimace in pain, perhaps its a lucky break that the car isn't packed on this day. I probably look like some sort of angry druggie that missed his stop. My hands clench tightly to help take my mind off the pain, all the while I still can't make sense of anything that happened to me today. Nothing makes any sense, nothing like this has ever happened to me before. Thats it, when I reach my stop I'm calling a taxi to ta-
  33.
  34. "GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLLlllllAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK-*POP*"
  35.
  36. "GAH!"
  37.
  38. The sudden noise and following popping sound jar me out of my mental revelation to a scene I wouldn't have believed had it been any other day. Everything has stopped. No noise, no motion, no smell, not even color. Everything is black and white, odorless, soundless, devoid of everything that makes sense. I get out of my seat and attempt to touch the man standing across from me. Attempt being the key word. My hand goes right through him. Seconds later the man just... Fades. Like he was never there. I can however touch the train car, the seats, and the overhead handles without consequence.
  39.
  40. "What happened to that man? Why did he disappear?"
  41.
  42. I didn't get time to contemplate. Sudden rattling and a bright flash of light explodes onto the scene, I look ahead into what little I can see of the forward car and find myself gazing upon a mass of swirling light. Its then I realize that its pulling the train into it, slow jerky movements into an uncertain fate and me right in the thick of it.
  43.
  44. "Oh shit... OH SHIT!"
  45.
  46. The doors won't budge, they don't even make a sound. I see the frozen people ahead of me shatter like glass when they touched the light, soundless and graceless, before getting sucked in like a vacuum. That was gonna be me in a few seconds, no amount of putting my back against the wall was gonna make it any easier. I can feel the energy crash into my body as I come within spitting distance of the light, it feels cold yet electrifying. I close my eyes and give a silent prayer to any deity who would be bothered to care as I perceive my final moments.
  47.
  48. "KASSsssssssssssBAAAAAAK"
  49.
  50. A blast of wind slams into me as the noise fades, I feel weightless and fear at the same time. My eyes open to a scene of a rapidly approaching body of water. Reacting instantly I brace myself for impact as there was no time to even panic and with a loud splash I feel myself crashing painfully into the water. Recovering from the impact was relatively fast, and I'm grateful that its still daylight when I fell as I can spot the sun from my position underwater. Swimming towards the surface took longer than I expected as it took at least fifteen seconds to break the surface, my lungs immediately expelled what little air I had remaining when my head cleared. I just stayed on the surface regaining my breath as I tried to piece together everything that happened in the past few minutes. Panic started to well up inside me as I realize I could be literally anywhere in the world rig-
  51.
  52. "Heeeeeeeeeeeeey! You okay!?"
  53.
  54. I hear a girly voice call out. My body spins in the water to try to find the owner of that voice. On the coast not to far from where I am I see a pink haired girl in a... Dress? Its too hard to make out from here but she is waving at me and because I don't see anyone else around, she must be waving to me.
  55.
  56. "Do you need help? Are you hurt?" she yells.
  57. "No! I'm fine... all things considering!" I reply.
  58.
  59. Feeling a bit silly for trying to talk from this distance I began swimming towards shore. I can see the panic on her face disappear as I move closer to the shore. When I reach the coast she moves in front of me and offers her hand, I take it and am surprised by the ease in which she pulls me up.
  60.
  61. "Oh thank goodness you aren't hurt. You look a little beat up though, what happened? Its not like people just fall from a hole in the sky often you know. Well... Maybe my Sister... And me... Once... But are you okay?"
  62.
  63. I'm a little put off by her sudden forcefulness but I manage to respond anyway.
  64.
  65. "I'm not hurt too bad and did you say I fell out of a hole? Well before that I should ask where in the world am I?"
  66.
  67. The girl responds, "You landed off the coast of Planeptune and I'm glad you aren't hurt. You see my G-Devi-"
  68.
  69. "Hold on, I'm sorry for interrupting you but where did you say I landed again?"
  70.
  71. "Energy-... Huh? Oh! I said that you landed off the coast of Planeptune, specifically the West Coast, so we're a long way away from the nearest city I'm afraid."
  72.
  73. "Planeptune? Whats that? Some sort of Theme Park? And the West coast of it too, how big is this place?"
  74.
  75. "Now that I think it over, it should be obvious you wouldn't know. I'm so sorry! Let me start again! You are in Gameinsutri. My name is Nepgear and we are currently in Planeptune."
  76.
  77. ...
  78.
  79. ...
  80.
  81. I look blankly at this "Nepgear."
  82.
  83. "What?"
