  1. Event: Peasants and Lords
  2.
  3. Story:
  4. Another squad of GRU-Division “P” operatives decide to go rogue for profit. Instead of joining the Chaos Insurgency like all the others, they decide to sell an AO to a team of high school dropouts who label themselves as part of ‘Are We Cool Yet?’ Through extremely vague and cryptic messages they make their transaction, selling an AO called ‘The Black Box.’ They mention that they plan on placing a massive memetic imprint in Site 86 containment cells so it would distract them from an attack from sewer level. This way, AWCY would give Site 86 the ‘history lesson’ it deserves.
  5.
  6. Meanwhile, a lone member of site staff monitors this transaction by studying the radio signals from number stations. Number stations haven’t been used by GRU-Division since the cold war, so an obvious sense of suspicion comes over this transaction. The scientist doubts members of AWCY would be interested in an AO called ‘The Black Box’ because of its cliche, generic name. The scientist decides anyway to inform the Site Director of this event and gathers site staff for a briefing. The event begins.
  7.
  8. Plot:
  9. Site staff and security are gathered in the briefing room. A scientist briefly explains the backstory, then tells the intended positions of each team. Site staff will go into containment to find the memetic source and attempt to contain it before it does any damage. Site security will guard street level and sewer level for the expected ‘attack.’
  10.
  11. The ‘attack’ will begin with a mob of angry peasants with the appearance of Black Plague victims. They will be armed with scythes and pitchforks. Any melee NPC can do, slow or fast zombies, metrocops armed with crowbars, anything that has a low threat level. Site staff will have to take them down in waves, but the attack will barely be of any threat.
  12.
  13. The actual attack will be with the Site Staff, as an AO(1) will somehow appear in one of the containment cells, locking the researchers in with it. The AO will identify itself as the Peasant Lord, and will have a few henchmen(2) armed with crossbows, effectively taking the researchers as hostage. It is revealed at this point that the memetic signature was not a distraction for the coming attack, but the other way around, so the security would be distracted while the Peasant Lord could take some researchers for ransom.
  14.
  15. The ransom is SCP-217, as demanded by the Peasant Lord. What happens from here on out depends on the decision of the players.
  16.
  17. Endings:
  18. The best ending would have the Peasant Lord taken into containment, the hostages released unharmed, and SCP-217 not distributed. This could possibly lead into other events.
  19.
  20. The worst ending would involve the Peasant Lord successfully taking SCP-217 and portalling away, with possible deaths of site staff. This would lead into future events.
  21.
  22. A middle ground ending would end with the Peasant Lord getting shot down by site security, along with his goons, and some possible deaths of site staff. SCP-217 would not be taken, and this would end all events related to the Peasant Lord.
  23.
  24. Wild card ending would have the Peasant Lord deciding to escape away with a researcher. This would lead into future events.
  25.
  26.
  27.
  28. Terms:
  29.
  30. - The Peasant Lord - Has the appearance of a 13th century Peasant, wearing putrid old rags. His skin is swelled up and covered in tumors, the look of someone who died to the Black Plague. He seems to have known SCP-049 in his past life. On one hand is a rusted iron dagger, and on another hand is a handpuppet made of human skin, which he calls ‘Willem.’ He has an expressive, dark sense of humor.
  31. - The Goons - Henchmen to the Peasant Lord. Armed with crossbows (hl2 crossbow) or pitchforks. Have the same general appearance as the Peasant Lord, and seem to be completely loyal to him.
