  23. 10 minutes to choose answers
  24. - 1 or 2 short sets: 1 conversation, 1 lecture or discussion
  25. 6.5 minutes to choose answers
  26. You answer questions one at a time and cannot return to earlier questions after answering them. (So in particular, never leave a question blank. Guess before you move on if you don’t know the answer. An incorrect answer and a blank answer count the same.)

  45. Listening Detail Questions - Because you don’t know what questions will be asked until after you listen to the conversation or lecture, you need to make sure your notes are good.
  46. You also need to recognize when the answer choices are restatements of the information from the listening.
  47. ---
  48. Cambridge L13 - Listen (on your own computer) to the statements, and decide which written version is correct.
  49. ---
  50. https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-state-of-emergency - Extended to May 4
  51. ---
  52. Your notes for TOEFL listening only need to help you for about 3 minutes after the listening. It’s not like in university where you need to be able to understand your notes for weeks or months.
  53. ---
  54. Most multiple-choice questions (for reading or listening) require you to choose one answer from four choices. However, some questions ask you to choose two or three. On the TOEFL, the answer choices for these questions will be marked with squares, not ovals.
  55. ---
  56. Cambridge L14 - Listen to the passages, then choose two answers to the questions.
  57. ---
  58. There are not questions on the TOEFL like L15. You’ll always be told how many answers to choose.
  59. Identify which details are included in the lectures.
  60. ---
  61. exercise L16 - This chart style is how you would answer questions like in L15.
  62. ---
  63. Homework: L16 and L17 (start in class, but we won’t have time to check the answers before 12:10)
