  8. [17:56] <~Garlyle> People are lined up for blocks for the single show of the Almeza Family Circus in town, a mildly famous international travelling circus originating in Orre.
  9. [17:57] <~Garlyle> Even then, between the entrance to the fairgrounds and the entrance to the tent, several shops have been set up - fairgames and merchants looking to selly candies and others goodies.
  10. [17:57] <~Garlyle> There is plenty of hustle and bustle as people wait to be able to get in.
  11. [18:00] <~Garlyle> (Mull about and chatter and stuff, since this is where you are - I might have some goodies some of you can pick up shortly :3c)
  12. 06[18:01] * Hayate lays low. All these damn people everywhere. Grr... He shouldn't of entered the auction. But it was only for fun. He wasn't supposed to win. He stays in the back, away from everyone else, hoping no one recognizes him, if they could even do so properly.
  13. 06[18:02] * Salino looks around the chaos as he waits to enter the circus. He couldn't decide if he was more excited or anxious. He felts Kuji's bracers around his arms beneath his coat and nodded to himself. "I can be strong on my own..."
  14. [18:02] <Camellia> 3[Lady, the line ain't getting any shorter!] Oolong is being his characteristic self, floating alongside Camellia with Chamomile and Assam, this time joined by Astrid and Pu-uerh as well.
  15. 06[18:03] * Jamal munches on some kettle corn he got from a nearby stand as he walks around with his deputies in close pursuit, also...with their own little bags of kettle corn. Tesla remains in his pocket. "Hm, well it seems their security isn't that bad..."
  16. 01[18:03] <Trevor> Trevor looks around as he sees everything there is to be offered by the circus. Of course his wagonful of adorable little Pokemon (Well, most of them, anyways… The Tepig is still MIA, and there’s no sign of that new Pokemon he got… Hell, has he even opened up its PokeBall yet?) is present, carted around by none other than Abe the ridiculous Donphan.
  17. 01[18:03] <Trevor> His Pachirisu, Trudy, who is now sporting an odd collar with a shiny pink ball attached to it around her neck, looks particularly excited by the carnival games, and immediately rushes over to the first game she sees. Conor, sporting a red bowtie with a similar ball (although red) … Kinda slowly edges over, looking around nervously so as to not get completely trampled. Trevor and the Donphan follow suit.
  18. 01[18:03] <Trevor> Though, admittedly, who knows just how well the runaways can actually DO anything?
  19. 06[18:03] * Kurt stands somewhere in Jenny the larvitar, holding a cone of bright pink cotton candy. Kurt tentatively sniffs the INFERIOR WORKING-CLASS candy, before taking a big bite.
  20. 01[18:04] <Trevor> ( Somewhere IN Jenny? He's a Psychic! With PHASING! )
  21. [18:04] <Hayate> "Line length: Uncountable, but presumably more than 30. Pick pockets might be abound. Ready and willing to attack at will." Hayate looks around as his Zorua crawls on his head, and "sets up shop"
  22. 06[18:04] * Reinhard is, as always incredibly loud and cheerful, bursting into laughter at a sight here or there, or scanning the crowd for familiar faces with a hand always on Kurt's head.

  25. 06[18:05] * Camellia hooks Chamomile's lanturn on her staff. "Chammy, let me know if you see Kurt or Reinhard. We're supposed to meet them here since I missed the train out of Ivoryscape..."

  29. 06[18:07] * Reinhard is probably pretty obvious, being followed by a weird-ass Metang and being tall and muscly.

  36. 06[18:08] * Salino has a Wingull sitting on his shoulder as he stands amongsth the crowd looking around. "It's crowded... I hope nothing goes on..."

  38. [18:09] <Camellia> Chamomile notices Reinhard and his scary-ass dragontang and bops Camellia on the head to get her attention. "Ow, what. Oh." She rushes over. "Hey! Uh, sorry I missed the train. Something came up on the job, if you know what I mean."
  39. [18:10] <Reinhard> "Hm? OH! CAMELLIA! Great to see you again."
  40. [18:10] <Camellia> "You too. And you Kurt, how are you both doing?"
  41. 06[18:10] * Reinhard extends a hand. "No problem at all, if anything I am INCREDIBLY PLEASED that we all managed to get these tickets beforehand."
  42. [18:11] <~Garlyle> There are tonnes of fun people in the crowd today. You occasionally hear squeals as a few well-known people are spotted in the crowded streets and excited fans rush up to try to talk to them.
  43. 06[18:11] * Camellia accepts the handshake. "I am too. I've picked up some new friends" She gestures to Astrid and Puerh (both obviously typeshifted) "and I thought they'd enjoy the show."
  44. [18:11] <Camellia> (Astrid is translucent ghost/psychic Ralts, Pu-erh is sludge-like posion/psychic sludosis)
  45. [18:11] <Reinhard> "Oooh."
  46. [18:11] <~Garlyle> (If people want to seek out any specific NPC to see if they might be around lemme know - similarly, there is the option to go browsing booths to find GOODIES FOR SALE. If you want)
  47. 06[18:11] * Jamal notices a few people getting swarmed by fans. "...Happy I'm not in ivoryscape for sure now."
  48. [18:11] <Kurt> "Oh, you're that woman from Ivoryscape."
  49. [18:12] <AClown> (I should probably into Marcus instead of messing around as a clown...)

  56. 06[18:12] * Jamal continues to munch on popcorn, and browses the booths, hoping not to not get swarmed by people who recognize him.
  57. [18:13] <Camellia> The Sludosis is somewhat less jellylike and a bit more sticky than a normal solosis.
  58. 06[18:13] * Reinhard wipes his finger off on a napkin after touching it. Ew.
  59. 06[18:13] * Salino decides to go examine some booths while he waits for entrance.

  66. [18:14] <Reinhard> "Hmph. Well, he did go right to sleep afterwards."
  67. 01[18:15] <Trevor> Welp, Trudy and Conor are... Probably not doing that well at the carnival games. Doesn't stop Trevor from spilling out ALL of the cash for them as the rest of his Pokemon, also wearing some kind of odd apparel with shiny spheres attached to them, set off on their own expeditions.
  68. 06[18:16] * Rachel paints a clown mural on the side of a tent or something.
  69. [18:16] <~Garlyle> (It has spread about in the papers)
  70. [18:16] <Reinhard> "SO! Seats, seats... Are we assigned them?"
  71. 06[18:16] * Rachel She conveniently neglects to notice Jamal standing there, and paints him too.
  72. 06[18:16] * Reinhard looks at his ticket.

  74. [18:16] <Camellia> "Ah, well, I suppose he can't help that. And given what you've been through...I heard about what happened on the train."
  75. [18:16] <~Garlyle> (Since unlike the episode 01 Finale, this one couldn't be kept under wraps. And yes - your tickets have the seats printed on 'em)
  76. 06[18:16] * Salino walks around the booths looking kind of bored until he runs into...

  79. 06[18:17] * Hayate trails a bit, looking at his ticket.
  80. [18:17] <Jamal> "This would be an awkward time to run into that...fan club, or ...worse."
  81. 06[18:17] * Camellia takes out her ticket too. "So, where are you two seated?"
  82. [18:17] <Salino> That wagon of pokemon is unmistakeable. "Oh... Trevor! Hey pal!"
  83. [18:17] <Marcus> A familiar young man is walking around amusing himself talking to various people about the town and the circus. As usual he's surrounded by Pokemon. A scraggy on one shoulder, a Murkrow on the other, an unusual Wartortle and a small Gothita by his side.
  84. [18:17] <Reinhard> "Hm? Ah..." He frowns for a few moments, looking very serious. "...Yes, yes. Surprised I can even stomach the circus after all those clowns. But it's hardly the fault of these people that criminals use their perfectly innocent job as a theme!"
  85. 06[18:18] * Camellia nods sadly. "To have to cancel their future shows in light of those events, it is rather unfortunate."
  86. 01[18:18] <Trevor> Trevor is really bad at not being taken by surprise when people call out his name, and jumps up a bit startled. However, he quickly turns around and waves to Salino. "Oh, hello again, Salino..."
  87. 06[18:18] * Kurt leaves Reinhard and Camellia when he spots Marcus.
  88. [18:19] <Kurt> "Ah, Sir Marcus! Fancy seeing you here."
  89. [18:19] <Salino> "It's good to see you again. Didn't know you planned to visit Sandstep! How are you?"
  90. 06[18:19] * Reinhard keeps an eye on Kurt via occasional glance while he talks. "Seems that we're all together, the child that gave us them did it IN ORDER!"
  91. 06[18:19] * Marcus notices a small shop selling brightly colored candies. Walking up to the store he's about to ask for something when Kurt catches his attention.
  92. 01[18:19] <Trevor> Trevor doesn't even notice that the "wagon" has mostly departed quite yet... Bad Trevor, BAD.
  93. [18:19] <Rachel> (Aand, gotta go. Have fun all! Make me cause some mischief, GM)

  96. [18:20] <Camellia> "That's great." Camellia smiles. "I was worried I wouldn't see anyone I knew here. There's a guy I know from Sandstep, but I never found out if he won his auction for a ticket or not..."
  97. [18:20] <Marcus> "Oh, Kurt! It's nice to see you again. What brings you here?" Marcus walks up to the boy smiling cheerfully.
  98. 01[18:21] <Trevor> He looks over to the two little fluffy mammals as they continue to play at the game. Perhaps a ring toss, or a "ball in the hole" kind of game? Either way, he slaps down MOAR MONAYS to restock them on fun.
  99. [18:21] <Reinhard> "Then you'll just have to go on thinking that he did, hm? I'm sure he's enjoying himself somewhere around here..."
  100. 06[18:21] * Kurt reaches into his pocket for the circus ticket, and shows it to Marcus before slipping it back in his pocket.
  101. [18:22] <Salino> "Great to hear! How do you like my hometown of Sandstep? It's quite the city isn't it?"
  102. 06[18:22] * Hayate sighs as he begans to walk around seeing the sights. He... admittedly has never been to the circus. No one to show him or care enough to bring him. And Hayate didn't like it. Too loud.
  103. [18:22] <Steve> Steve continues to wander around, munching on a corn dog as he went, before spotting some familiar faces. "Marcus? Hey!"
  104. [18:22] <Camellia> "YEah, I'm sure he is. Oh right! I was gonna tell you about this." she picks up Astrid. "Remember what you were telling me about Ascension and dragons? Apparently, it's possible for making ghost pokemon too."
  105. [18:22] <Jamal> "Alpha...if you try to eat any of the merchandise I'm going to seriously scold you. And...we must talk with Sophia later. She must have done something to you. WHY ARE YOU SO BIG NOW?"
  106. [18:22] <Reinhard> "Is that so."
  107. [18:23] <Reinhard> "I suppose someone did that to... OHO! Could it be YOU!?"
  108. 06[18:24] * Hayate has pretty much given up hiding at this point, just alking around the carnival
  109. 01[18:24] <Trevor> "It's quite lovely, even for this time of the year... I had expected for it to be much colder."
  110. [18:24] <Marcus> "A ticket for the show? Wow you're lucky, I wasn't able to get one in time." As he says that his little Gotita does a small curtsy for Kurt.
  111. 06[18:24] * Camellia shakes her head. "I wish. I was..." she looks around briefly "on a Call. I was given this pokemon to take care of. From someone who has...similar abilities to mine."
  112. 06[18:24] * Jamal is being followed by what was once a cute, adorable little teddibear. it's now about six inches shorter then himself, huge, and has somehow aquired a large amount of cotten candy.

  116. [18:24] <Kurt> "Truly, it WAS luck. Some circus boy gave tickets to Kurt and I on New Years."

  120. [18:25] <~Garlyle> (You can be assumed to have all recieved tickets actually. Some of you just don't know yours are EXTRA LUCKY)

  124. [18:25] <Salino> "Isn't it great? Most people that visit love it here!"
  125. 06[18:26] * Kurt looks at Steve with a disinterested glance. "Oh, and you are?"
  126. [18:26] <Steve> "Oh, my name's Steve, sir. I helped set up the bleachers for this circus. They let me have an open seat during it as thanks."
  127. [18:26] <Camellia> "As for Pu-erh...Oddly, I think that happened naturally."
  128. [18:27] <Reinhard> "Oh my. Was it born in a FACTORY or something of the sort?"
  129. [18:27] <Marcus> "Oh hey there Steve! What a great day, getting to see all my friends again. Steve do you think you could get me a seat as well?" MArcus looks excited to see both Steve and Kurt again.
  130. [18:27] <Hayate> (No one is interested in the wandering ninja. Foreveralone)
  131. 06[18:28] * Jamal eyes the bear up and down. "They better not charge me extra seating for you!"
  132. 01[18:28] <Trevor> "Indeed it is. I might have to remember this place once I eventually settle down."

  135. 06[18:28] * Camellia grimaces. "A sewer, actually. It was poisoning a sector of Ivoryscape when I found it. Another Call. They're...actually pretty inconvenient at times."

  139. [18:28] <Steve> "Haven't seen you since New Years Day," Steve notes, looking to Marcus. "What have you been up to?" He looks to Kurt, then between the two of them. "Friends?"
  140. [18:29] <Reinhard> "HA! Of course they are, the both of us were highly lucky not to have gotten anything of the sort for QUITE SOME TIME! Perhaps I was too... EFFICIENT on the last ones."
  141. 01[18:29] <Trevor> He also pulls out what looks like some kind of computer tablet thingy, with a bunch of USB drives sticking out of it... Five at the moment, though there's plenty of room for others still.
  142. [18:29] <Camellia> 3[And I bet Camellia gets more because she can't pull her weight! :3] Oolong cackles.
  143. [18:30] <Marcus> "Well of course, we're friends. Right Kurt?" He pats the boy on the back. "Wow yeah, it has been since New Years. Time sure flies eh? How has Gaav been?"

  145. [18:30] <Reinhard> "Oh my. It talks?"
  146. [18:30] <Salino> "Well... just give me a call if that's the case! I'll help you find the best places in the city!"
  147. [18:31] <Camellia> "I can't decide whether it's a blessing or a curse." Camellia frowns at her Spiritomb.
  148. 06[18:31] * Salino is either really dense to how long off that would be or is just too nice and helpful to think about it.

  150. [18:31] <Reinhard> "Call it a NATURAL OCCURENCE then. Most dragons eventually work out the secrets of speech as they age."
  151. [18:32] <Steve> "I'm actually setting up the makings of a Daycare Centre in town. Gaav and some of the others are watching it for the moment, while my friends and I are coming to watch the circus."
  152. 01[18:32] <Trevor> "If you're still amongst the living by then, I'd really appreciate it." He's pressing at the buttons, and...

"Oh I don't think either of you know my new friend. This here is Lucilla." He says glancing down at the cute little pokemon.

  167. [18:34] <Jamal> "You know what...I wonder if that older, ninja guy is still around. Let's go look around and see if we can find him, deputies."
  168. 01[18:34] <Trevor> Steve (and anyone near him) can hear something barking... Or whatever the noise Zigzagoon make is.
  169. [18:35] <Steve> "It's a pleasure," Steve says with a little bow of his own. "This is Jareth, by the way. He's a bit shy, so I thought I--hmm?" Steve looks down in the direction of the Zigzagoon.
  170. [18:35] <Salino> "Say... where are you staying while you're in town? You would be free to stay in my apartment with me and Kuji if hotels are too expensive..."

  172. 01[18:35] <Trevor> It's a cute little baby Zigzagoon, wearing a blue cape with a similarly blue sphere hanging on a collar holding the cape in place. It's barking at one of the nearby concession stands looking for food.
  173. [18:36] <Camellia> "It must be great to have that certainty. I have to live with the possibility I'll be stuck talking to Oolong the rest of my life."

  177. [18:37] <Steve> Steve smiles down at the Zigzagoon, before going over to the stand, and asking for something savoury, hoping it'd stay put long enough for Steve to collect.
  178. 01[18:37] <Trevor> "I'll be fine enough, Salino. And besides, I'm fairly certain I proved to be far too much of an inconvenience after the last time I spent the night with you..."
  179. [18:37] <Marcus> "So Kurt, is your brother here?" Marcus sees Steve walk off a bit, but hopes he'll be right back.
  180. [18:37] <Kurt> "Yeah, he's around somewhere."
  181. [18:38] <Salino> "Oh hush up you! You weren't an inconvenience back then and you wouldn't be now either!"
  182. [18:38] <~Garlyle> Steve gets handed a jerky treat
  183. [18:38] <Kurt> "Talking to some weird woman we met in Ivoryscape."
  184. [18:38] <Marcus> "Do you think he's nearby? I'd love to say hello to him again, as well."
  185. [18:38] <Reinhard> "Pffha. Do NOT deny the insight you can get from a pokemon, especially one such as THAT! They... How to put it."

  187. 01[18:39] <Trevor> He's looking down at the tablet, which has on screen... Hey, it's Steve's legs! Not that Salino would be likely to recognize him, or that Trevor would be likely to just by the legs, but... The image is bouncing up and down. Odd.

  202. [18:41] <Camellia> "Perhaps." Camellia sighs and gives a tired look at Oolong.   474. [19:30] <~Garlyle> Towards the entrance, there's a couple people checking tickets - one of which is a young lad dressed in circus finery, a young ringmaster's outfit; the other is a taller teen male in what almost looks like a butler's outfit.
  475. [19:30] <Reinhard> "Marcus, Camellia, Camellia, Marcus... And as for the OFFICER here, I get by by, well, getting by. There is never any lack of need for a STRONG man with DISCIPLINED pokemon."

  479. [19:31] <Steve> "Ah...yes!" Steve mutters. By chance he managed to bump into the others like that. He'd have to sit down and chat once the show was over.

Wandering beyond the vendor's area, she begins to sing softly to herself. "Tis ne'er a wrong occasion to watch a parade~" She doesn't stray far from the group, but her attention is short at best.

  540. [19:44] <Camellia> "I hope he didn't give you too much trouble. He's rather unobservant at times, which I suspect is why we end up working together so often. I'm his eyes, so he likes to say.

While they enjoy the freedom, they are still young - as they grow up, you may find them simply walking away forever if you let this continue."
  560. [19:49] <Marcus> "I can't wait to get in, it's rather boring just standing in line." Marcus laughs and doesn't really seem bored at all. "Oh I've always wanted to challenge a gym! I haven't gotten the chance yet, I've only gotten to fight Kris." he chips in.

  566. [19:50] <~Garlyle> The young boy takes Salino's ticket with a smile. "Thank you! Your seat... oh!" His eyes seem to light up for a moment, then he grins up at Salino, informing him about his front-row seats and where to find 'em.

  568. [19:50] <Jamal> "I'm - I'm sorry I don't believe we've been introduced," he says to Marcus.
  569. [19:50] <Steve> "Ah, Camellia, before we get in and the crowd drowns us out..." Steve mentions, looking to her. "About...Sludgicus..." he says, referring to the sewer king they had taken on a few days ago.
  570. [19:50] <~Garlyle> He also hands Salino another ticket with a smile. "Keep a hold of this!"

  573. [19:51] <Camellia> "Huh? Oh Steve, it's you." Camellia gestures to Pu-erh. "Doing quite fine, as you can see."

  580. [19:52] <Steve> Steve smiles. "Glad to see. The piece I have is currently waiting back at HQ, watching my stall with the rest of my Pokemon." He thinks. "I've wondered...in time, will they have to rejoin?"

  582. [19:53] <Jamal> "And yes, gym challenges! I am quite excited myself. Have been work bound for many years, and finally getting the chance to travel around a bit and persue them is a gift!"
  583. [19:53] <~Garlyle> The older of the two men at the front takes Grant's ticket this time. "Please remember to keep all Pokemon in their Pokeballs while inside the tent, thank you."

  604. [19:57] <Sophia> Disappointed she could do nothing but unable to shake the impossibly cheerful feelings she bears, Sophia wanders away into the shadows between the tents, but not too far away. She keeps an eye on this man in hopes of helping him in secret. A mischevious smile sits in with her fae features snugly.
  605. 06[19:58] * Steve returns Jareth and Scarlet, silently apologizing. "Understandable indeed. Both statements, actually. Thanks for putting this at rest for me, Camellia." He smiles at her. "Please, enjoy the show. The bonus tickets must mean you'll have a blast."
  606. [19:58] <Grant> "It won't be a bother... FIRST communicates with me only, and is not too fussy." Grant says while the Unown keeps itself silently fused to his tattoo. Overhearing the others returning their pokémon, he turns to the group. "And... You are coming too, friend Jamal? I... Guess you brought friends with you, right?"
  607. [19:58] <Marcus> "I'll see you guys after the show then!" Marcus says before heading off to find his seat.
  608. 01[19:58] <Trevor> " . . . There wouldn't happen to be any other place they can stay in the meantime, would there?" He . . . Really doesn't want to put them back in the PokeBalls if there's no sense of urgency or danger.
  609. 06[19:59] * Kurt returns his pokemon when it's time to go inside, and follows after Reinhard and the weird woman.
  610. [19:59] <~Garlyle> "I'm part of the staff. I can't watch them - that's YOUR responsibility." The way Rui puts emphasis there is... oww.
  611. [20:01] <Jamal> "Hm? Oh, Grant! Good to see you! And...it's less me bringing them and me wandering upon them."
  612. 01[20:01] <Trevor> The "Ouch" is thoroughly felt. Needless to say, he slowly undresses them all and recalls them, putting the trackers and the apparel they had been wearing into the wagon.
  613. [20:02] <Grant> "Fate brings us all together, doesn't it? Everything happens for a reason."
  614. [20:03] <Camellia> "I wonder if that kid gave us all 'special' tickets on purpose..." Camellia shrugs and heads to the front row.
  615. 06[20:03] * Steve looks around worriedly in case of strange appearances by Nuzleafs.
  616. [20:03] <Jamal> "Yes, well, it helps we're in the same line of work."
  617. [20:03] <Steve> "You must have done something nice for him," Steve offers with a smile. "I didn't get a ticket, but then again, I haven't had a chance to meet him."
  618. [20:03] <~Garlyle> The man Sophia has been watching is just... waiting out there. Maybe he's not here for the circus or something.
  619. [20:05] <Sophia> Patiently, Sophia waits in the back areas of the tents. She hadn't actually planned on attending the circus either, but she couldn't resist being drawn to the crowds. It always struck on her curiosity. No, she would wait until whatever this man was doing happened and make an appearance.
  620. [20:05] <Grant> "Well, it's not i made much acquaintances before the 'bomb' affair. And neither when not on duty."
  621. [20:05] <~Garlyle> Meanwhile, Rui relaxes a little. "Listen, Trevor. You're not doing them a favour by letting them just run around get away with everything, understood? A Trainer's job is like that of a parent - you're responsible for raising them and taking care of them and showing them all love. And I don't think you're quite as capable of that as you'd like to be now."
  622. 06[20:06] * Salino takes his seat in FRONT ROW~ and is visibly bouncing a bit in excitement.
  623. 06[20:07] * Reinhard streeeetches and wiggles into place. "Not the biggest seat, but it WORKS!"
  624. [20:07] <Steve> At this point, Steve splits off from the rest of the group, waving them goodbye, wishing for them to enjoy the show, and making them promise to visit his Daycare at the HQ sometime. He then wanders off, trying to find his own seat.
  625. 01[20:08] <Trevor> Trevor is... Not taking very well to those words. He's clammed up a bit now.

  629. [20:09] <Grant> "In any case... It seems i'll go and search for a good seat." Grant goes to the back rows and sits on one of the chairs there.

But right now, let me tell you, trainer to trainer - you're not ready to manage all of your Pokemon at once. They aren't going to hate you if they're not out all the time, okay?"
  631. 06[20:09] * Camellia glances around to see if there's anyone near her seat that she knows, besides the von Fraenirs. She's just been running into so many acquaintances lately she figures it's pretty likely.
  632. 06[20:10] * Salino is bouncing in his chair in the front row~, likely near Camellia.

  642. 06[20:13] * Steve takes his seat. Interestingly, the ones on either side of him were open. He wondered who would have these seats...

  659. [20:19] <~Garlyle> Once everyone gets seated, there's a few more minutes - and then the lights dim. You can hear drumrolls echoing around the stage - and then the light flashes bright to show the family - there's the boy and young man who were tending the front, and the girl Steve met, and a beautiful woman in acrobat's clothing and a tall father in ringmaster's gear.
  660. [20:20] <~Garlyle> "Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages... we welcome you to the Almeza Family Circus!"
  661. [20:20] <~Garlyle> And then the lights all go back on and BAM, suddenly the grounds are filled with Pokemon and people.
  662. [20:21] <~Garlyle> Music blares from speakers underneath of the stands, from all corners of the tent, to the rhythm of a carefully prepared dance - the many actors and their companion Pokemon travelling around in a circuit to introduce themselves to the stands.
  663. [20:22] <~Garlyle> There is an absolutely huge variety of Pokemon here - many of whom you have never seen before, doubtlessly coming in from foreign lands.
  664. [20:23] <~Garlyle> This display sets the stage for an absolutely beautiful show - once the lights go down on the initial parade, they come back up to focus on individual acts that show off the many different Pokemon... just as much as the skills of the acrobats and trainers.
  665. [20:25] <~Garlyle> Firebreathers scorch the air on the backs of Charizards in one display; in another, acrobats swing amidst the scaffolding - catching not ropes but the feet of many Flying Pokemon in beautiful displays
  666. [20:27] <~Garlyle> In one, a herd of massive Pokemon stampedes around the rings, their Trainers leaping through obstacle courses suspended in the air.
  667. 06[20:27] * Steve "ooo"s and "aww"s during the displays, watching enthralled, positive Gaav would've loved to see this. As would the others. But he understood why they couldn't be here tonight. So he contented himself and continued to watch.
  668. [20:28] <Salino> "Wooow!" Salino is on the edge of his seat as he watches all the displays. "I wish Kuji was here, he would love this!"
  669. 06[20:29] * Trevor had taken out his folder and was looking through the notes and images he had drawn up earlier in the week, paying astute attention to and taking note of everything he's seen, checking and double checking against the notes he had drawn up. Still, the feeling of uneasiness that was washing over him had his right hand clamped as tightly as an immalleable object could be to Trudy's PokeBall.
  670. [20:29] <Grant> "I can't see much from here... And it's not as amazing as the many of the things i saw..."

  673. 06[20:30] * Marcus claps excitedly at many of the interesting parts, his face has a perpetual look of enjoyment.
  674. [20:30] <~Garlyle> In one show, a set of trainers juggle Pokeballs - releasing Pokemon up in mid-air and recalling them before they hit the ground, only to pass them off to the next trainer in line.

  676. 06[20:32] * Reinhard winces almost every time a pokemon hits.
  677. [20:32] <~Garlyle> And in one particularly daring display, an agile trainer dances with Scyther - flipping and twisting between their blades in perfect co-ordination. Just when it seems to be getting boring, the trainers start throwing chunks of wood towards the Scythers - whose blades whistle through them with barely a sound, splitting them in two, reinforcing the danger.
  678. 06[20:32] * Camellia is enjoying the show but looks slightly disappointed, since her pokemon aren't there.
  679. [20:33] <~Garlyle> Once that finishes, the lights all float back on, with the Ringleader back out front. "We'll be taking a break here - please, feel free to go get a snack, use the facilities, and stretch your legs before the second half."
  680. 06[20:35] * Reinhard jumps right up. "AND, I suppose let friends out to stretch themselves?"
  681. [20:35] <Reinhard> "Could probably go with a drink anyway."
  682. 06[20:35] * Trevor gets really nervous and tenses his grip on the ball when the Scyther come on... Like, anyone looking would think he was ready to just hop over the stands (were his physical structure to allow it) and rush the stage at any moment.
  683. [20:35] <Camellia> "Didn't that kid from new year's say to see him during intermission?" Camellia gets and and stretches. "I wouldn't mind a cold drink either."
  684. [20:36] <Reinhard> "So he did..."
  685. [20:36] <~Garlyle> You do see a couple people attempting to let Pokemon out inside the tent - but they're politely told be security to do so only outside of the tent.

  687. 06[20:36] * Salino pulls out the special~ ticket form his coat pocket and looks at it excitedly. "Oh right!" He jumps up and runs off to find where to go.
  688. [20:37] <Steve> Steve gets up from his seat, and looks at the Pokeballs containing Scarlet and Jareth. "Come on. Let's go get a souvenir."
  689. 06[20:37] * Camellia watches the others in the front row, hoping to find where to go.
  690. 06[20:38] * Reinhard just wanders around and out, looking for that kid.
  691. 06[20:38] * Kurt just follows Reinhard :T
  692. 01[20:38] <Trevor> ( Gonna try calling Gent and see if I can't get his attention )
  693. [20:39] <~Garlyle> The kid is right where he'd said he'd be - he's waiting at the entrance of the tent, occasionally signing a couple autographs from people who recognise him as one of the riders atop the grand elephant-esque Pokemon.

  695. 01[20:39] <Trevor> ( It went straight to voicemail )
  696. 06[20:40] * Reinhard clears his throat and sneaks up behind. "I MUST say I am glad to have gotten that ticket from you, you know."
  697. [20:41] <~Garlyle> The youth jumps a little as he hands back an autograh and turns to Reinhard. "Oh...? Oh, right, I think... New Year's Eve? Maybe?"
  698. [20:41] <Reinhard> "PRECISELY!"
  699. 06[20:41] * Camellia approaches the kid. "Hey! Pretty generous of you to give us such a special opportunity for free."
  700. [20:41] <Plutonis> (you tried pinging him on steam?)

  707. [20:43] <~Garlyle> "Well, it wouldn't have been too special, but... well, things did kind of change..." he sighs, and rubs the back of his head. "Anyway... that's all of you, right?"

  709. 06[20:43] * Camellia finally notices Salino. "Hey, so you ended up winning that auction, huh?"

  712. [20:44] <Salino> "Oh Miss Camellia! ...yeah I won that ticket. I just wish Kuji was able to be here with me..."
  713. [20:45] <~Garlyle> "Auction? Oh, wow, were people really -that- excited to come see?" the boy's eyes light up a little, then he recomposes himself. "Umm, I mean, right! You guys got Lucky Tickets~ so you guys get a special gift, from us to you guys in goodwill~"
  714. [20:45] <Camellia> "Maybe you could bring him back an autograph." Camellia offers and turns to the kid. "Hey, I never caught your name. And, think we could get autographs?"
  715. [20:45] <Reinhard> "Ooohohoho! A SPECIAL gift!"
  716. [20:46] <~Garlyle> "Huhn? More autographs?" He looks a little embarassed, but smiles. "Sure! Umm..." he starts grabbing some papers and signing his name. "I'm Revas, by the way. Revas Almeza, the youngest performer in the whoooole show~"
  717. [20:47] <Reinhard> (WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT NAME BEFORE.)
  718. [20:47] <Camellia> "Thanks! You're really talented for someone so young."
  719. [20:47] <Camellia> (Revas is Gar's character in Egondra)
  720. [20:47] <Reinhard> "So when do you GRADUATE to the Scythers?"
  721. [20:47] <Salino> "Wow autographs too? This is great!" Salino grabs up one and carefully places it in his coat pocket. "I hope Kuji likes this!"
  722. [20:48] <~Garlyle> "Eheheh... I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon," he shivers a little. "I think that's a liiiiittle too dangerous for me~"
  723. [20:48] <Steve> "I'll say!" Steve mentions, agreeing with Camellia's assessment as he stepped up. "You performed spectacularly out there, Revas. I'm glad I got to see it."
  724. [20:49] <~Garlyle> "Oh! Hey, you were here yesterday!" Revas brightens up at seeing Steve. "But, I can't give you a special gift 'cause you don't have one of the tickets... sorry~"
  725. [20:50] <Salino> "What kinda gifts are they pal?" Salino seems a bit calmed down now.
  726. [20:50] <Steve> "No, no, I understand," Steve mentions, waving it off. "But I'll let you know that he's holding up under my care." He winks, letting Revas know who the "he" was referring to.
  727. [20:50] <~Garlyle> "C'mon, and I'll show you," he steps back, smiling, and heads towards a side path and into the maze beneath the scaffolding and stands

  729. 06[20:51] * Camellia carefully places the autograph in her bag and follows with a bounce in her step.
  730. [20:51] <Salino> "Alright... let's go then!"
  731. [20:51] <Steve> "Mind if I come along and see?" Steve asks, following at the back. "I'd kinda like an autograph like the others got."
  732. [20:51] <~Garlyle> He leads Reinhard, Camellia, Kurt, and Salino around through the tent and towards the back - where you can see the many Pokemon of the circus rehearsing and being fed for their next show.
  733. [20:51] <~Garlyle> Along the way, Revas totally signs Steve an autograph.
  734. 06[20:51] * Reinhard slows down as they pass each pokemon, taking a good look and sometimes talking a little to them.
  735. [20:52] <Camellia> Despite her curiosity, Camellia attempts to avert her eyes from the rehearsing pokemon, trying not to spoil the second half of the show for herself.
  736. [20:52] <~Garlyle> Once you get out a bit more into the open, the first Pokemon that catches everyone's eyes... is the absolutely beautiful Hydreigon, being tended to by the Ringleader himself.
  737. [20:53] <~Garlyle> "Father! I brought the winners~"
  738. 06[20:53] * Reinhard breaks out into a massive smile. "It's..."
  739. [20:54] <Salino> "Wow... there's so many exotic pokemon around here..." Salino then frowns a bit as he remembers the Bayleef Kuji had obtained. "...Hmmm.."
  740. [20:54] <~Garlyle> Revas scurries over and his father pulls him up into a hug. Literally, off the ground - he's actually quite a big man.
  741. [20:54] <Camellia> "Oh wow, that's quite a magnificent pokemon. Reinhard, you're familiar with that brand of dragon?"
  742. [20:54] <~Garlyle> Then, the Ringleader sets Revas down, and the boy scurries to go climb around on the Hydreigo, playing with it. "So. Are you all enjoying the show?"
  743. [20:55] <Reinhard> "ABSOLUTELY! We have a whole three nests of them in the cave system out back..."
  744. [20:55] <Camellia> "It's quite amazing! I only wish I could let my pokemon watch as well."
  745. 06[20:55] * Kurt studies the Hydreigon.
  746. [20:56] <~Garlyle> "Oh?" the ringleader's eyes light up a little. "It's... given where we are, are you perhaps of the von Fraenir family?"
  747. [20:56] <Reinhard> "And you have the both of us right on the dot!"
  748. [20:56] <~Garlyle> One of the Hydreigon's heads leans forward to study Kurt in return. He seems big an' playful 8D
  749. 06[20:56] * Reinhard extends a hand. "Reinhard and Kurt, very glad to meet you."
  750. [20:56] <Kurt> "Quite large, scales are shiny, eye sockets are clean, teeth look good..."
  751. [20:56] <Kurt> "This is a very excellent Hydreigon."
  752. [20:57] <Salino> "Salino Fenn, pal. Sandstep City Detective! The show has been spectacular."
  753. [20:57] <Steve> "You run a very good business, sir," Steve agrees. "The Pokemon seem very healthy and happy."
  754. [20:57] <~Garlyle> "Well, then, we have your parents to thank for magnificient Fafnir here," he takes Reinhard's hand and shakes it with STRONGTH, as well as everyone else's hand
  755. [20:57] <Reinhard> "Even MORE glad to presumably have been of service shoveling his dung."
  756. 06[20:58] * Camellia is somewhat in awe. "So this is what skilled breeders can accomplish."
  757. [20:59] <~Garlyle> The man breaks out laughing. "Well, if you're all dragon fans, I suppose our gifts will... excite you greatly--wait, Revas, wasn't there only four winning tickets?"
  758. [20:59] <~Garlyle> The boy nods and points at Steve. "He just came along anyway~"
  759. [21:00] <Kurt> "Oh. Figures."
  760. [21:00] <Salino> "Dragons huh? Well... sure! Though I've been a bigger fan of fighting pokemon lately... thanks to my boyfriend."
  761. [21:00] <Steve> "Ah, it's true. I just wanted the boy's autograph, and wanted to wish my friends the best when they received their gifts."
  762. [21:00] <~Garlyle> The imposing father of the family calls out. "Yuela?"
  763. [21:00] <Camellia> "Dragons...well, if I'm diving into learning the lore of the region, dragons are a great start."
  764. [21:01] <~Garlyle> And a young girl - still older than Revas but not by too much - hurries over, carrying a set of Pokeballs. She's dressed as an acrobat, but you haven't seen her perform yet. "You needed this, father?"
  765. [21:01] <~Garlyle> "Yes, thank you dear," he ruffles her hair happily, and takes the Pokeballs from her - then after a glance at the other she runs off.
  766. [21:02] <~Garlyle> "There's one for each of you four with the lucky tickets, then. They're... some very, very special Pokemon indeed."
  767. 06[21:02] * Salino looks at the man curiously, "Say... they wouldn't be... more rescues would they?"
  768. [21:03] <Camellia> "Rescues, Salino?"
  769. [21:03] <~Garlyle> "Huhn? Oh... have you been informed?" he laughs a little.
  770. [21:03] <Reinhard> "Rescues, you say."
  771. [21:04] <Salino> "My boyfriend Kuji helped set up, showed me the Bayleef he was given. He said... they were rescued from abuse in Orre."
  772. 06[21:04] * Salino looks kinda somber now, but still forces a smile on.
  773. [21:04] <Camellia> "Oh dear...it's rather charitable of your family to be rescuing pokemon like that."
  774. [21:05] <Reinhard> "Oh dear. I am FULLY AWARE some people tend to have...trouble with the fiercer species, but..."
  775. [21:05] <Steve> "It is indeed..." Steve agrees solemnly, taking out the Pokeball that housed Jareth the Misdrevaus.
  776. [21:06] <~Garlyle> You hear Revas giggling about something from atop one of Fafnir's heads, but his father is more serious. "Yes, that's correct. It's really quite unfortunate, so we... well, took a few along with us."
  777. [21:06] <~Garlyle> "We'd like to find them good homes, but unfortunately, we have a business to run and that consumes a great deal of our time and energy as is. You can understand that, right?"
  778. [21:07] <Salino> "Of course pal... I'm actually glad to hear that. I want to help these poor pokemon the best I can!"
  779. [21:07] <Reinhard> "Entirely, sir, entirely."
  780. [21:08] <Camellia> "I can see that perfectly."
  781. [21:08] <~Garlyle> "I do feel as though I need to tell you that they can be a little... closed off and quiet. It's the unfortunately consequence, but I do hope you'll train them all the same."
  782. [21:08] <~Garlyle> He offers the Pokeballs to you each.
  783. 06[21:09] * Reinhard takes his and looks very deeply at it.
  784. 06[21:09] * Camellia accepts the pokemon and looks at it curiously. "Closed off, you say?"

  786. [21:09] <~Garlyle> "That's correct. Their personalities are... well, it happens. I don't know the specifics, but truly, some people cross the line back home."
  787. [21:09] <Salino> "Right..." Salino stares at the pokeball that is handed to him looking sad but highly determined. "Kuji's Bayleef was pretty much unresponsive to anything... just stood there and stared..."
  788. [21:10] <Camellia> "...Do you have any stories of successful rehabilitations?"
  789. [21:10] <Steve> "Mister Ringmaster, sir?" Steve offers. "I know a couple who run a daycare centre close by. They can look after the Pokemon you rescued until someone comes to give them a home. It was a centre of love from when I stayed there."
  790. [21:10] <Salino> "I'm sure with lots of love we can help these pokemon overcome though right?"
  791. [21:11] <~Garlyle> "...They can be changed, yes. Though it is no easy feat," he shakes his head. "And, I am fully aware. We were going to leave a few with the daycare before being on our way."
  792. 06[21:12] * Salino nods and then drops the pokeball in front of him, wondering what he had just obtained.
  793. [21:13] <Steve> "Unless you already took care of it before, allow me to tell them the news," Steve requests. "Other than that, I promise to do my best to see to this one's rehabilitation."
  794. 06[21:13] * Kurt looks at his pokeball. "Well, that's no problem. With discipline, guidance, and stability, I'm sure the pokemon will be able to fully recover in time."
  795. [21:13] <Camellia> "Huh, Steve you got one too?"
  796. [21:13] <~Garlyle> "...Arrangements have been made," he nods. "Do take care of them, alright?"
  797. [21:14] <Salino> (did you want to fluff appearances on these things Gar?)
  798. [21:14] <Steve> "I promise. Sir, is it alright if I release this one so that the others may see?"

  815. 06[21:18] * Steve presses the button on the Pokeball, and out pops a dull eyed Misdrevaus. Its colouring is much darker than normal, and the beaded necklace around its neck has a few cracks in it. "This is Jareth. I thought giving him a name would help give him a new identity."

  866. 06[21:35] * Salino gives a last pat to Samu before looking at its pokeball. "I greatly appreciate your trust in us to help these troubled pokemon." He recalls the Hariyama with a determined smile. "I won't let Samu stay this way for long."

  882. 06[21:40] * Camellia looks between the rest of the group, a bit confused. "I suppose so. Do you have more to tell us about these pokemon?"

  884. [21:42] <~Garlyle> "Well, no, I just need to speak with the ones who got 'em," she shakes her head. "Just some advice to give is all."

  886. [21:42] <Camellia> "Didn't..." Camellia looks to Steve. "Didn't you get one too? Or did she explain it all to you already?"
  887. [21:42] <Steve> "Oh. I see." He looks to the others, and nods. "I got this talk last night when I first met Jareth."
  888. [21:43] <Salino> "Sure... I want to know all I can to take good care of Samu."
  889. [21:43] <~Garlyle> "Okay then," she nods and smiles. "You all enjoy the rest of the show, alright!"

He's tugging at his hair in frustration, though it's not like he'd actually have the strength to forcefully rip any of it out, but . . . If someone had seen him in the back of the circus arena, they mighta seen him frustrated over something.

  946. [22:19] <Salino> "...Right. Best not keep her waiting..." Salino nods to Camellia and sighs a bit to himself. "Is everyone here?"

  948. [22:22] <~Garlyle> It's not too hard to figure out where to go, because plot sort of demands it. Before long, you're all at the park - it's kind of peaceful out here, with only the distant notise of the city and circus reaching your ears - other than that, the night is quiet.
  949. [22:23] <~Garlyle> The young woman named Rui is waiting for you - and she's not alone. She has a man with her, a tall and slightly imposing figure with white hair held back by a pair of goggles.

  954. 06[22:25] * Reinhard narrows his eyes. "Some sort of registration process?"
  955. [22:26] <~Garlyle> "There's no need for that kind of attitude, Wes. They're nice people."
  956. 06[22:26] * Kurt quirks en eyebrow. "Who's this?"
  957. [22:27] <Salino> "We just got them and you want us to hand them back?"
  958. [22:28] <~Garlyle> Wes starts to say something, but Rui makes a visible sound of irritation, and he sighs. She steps in front of him instead.

  965. 06[22:30] * Camellia is about to speak but hesitates, waiting for the reply to Kurt.

Its curly ears are near completely gone and replaced with horns, the body is all stretched out like it's a huge snake, the shell goes all the way up from its head to its tail like a spine... "Kurt. Politeness. You have a POINT but these people CLEARLY know things that we do not."
  967. [22:31] <~Garlyle> The man flips his goggles down over his eyes, locking his eyes on the Hariyama. You can see the light of a display flickering as he looks at the Hariyama - and then the Lapras. "...Rui, you didn't tell me it was -this- bad."
  968. [22:33] <~Garlyle> They pass a few words back and forth in whispers, then Wes looks back to you four. "...The last two. I need to see them too."
  969. [22:33] <Salino> "Geeze! ...that's some Lapras! It...is a Lapras isn't it?" Salino looks on in awe of the pokemon then turns to the man. "Bad? What do you mean?"
  970. 06[22:33] * Reinhard looks it up and down. "Checks out with a pokedex, but... Certainly a dragon, at least, and certainly a pokemon."
  971. 06[22:33] * Camellia gives a curious look at the man's scanner goggle. "Well, I suppose it's for the best..." she releases a Lucario covered with metallic scales rather than fur. Its ears are shaped more like horns, and it has developed long claws in lieu of the metal spikes that normally protrude from the backs of its hands."

  988. [22:40] <~Garlyle> "Knowing them, they probably didn't actually say 'Shadow Pokemon' when they gave you these poor things, did they?"
  989. [22:40] <Salino> "...Shadow pokemon? I've never even heard of such a thing."
  990. [22:40] <Reinhard> "Abused was the term they used... And to be fair to them, she seems the sort. Too quiet..."
  991. 06[22:41] * Camellia nods. "I suppose by the fact you use that term, there is something more to it than simple abuse?"
  992. [22:42] <~Garlyle> "Abused... does not begin to cover it, really. There's mistreating a Pokemon, there's abusing them, there's traumatizing them, and then... there's this. It's more like 'brainwashed', maybe."
  993. [22:43] <Salino> "...I had a theory about the purpose... a pokemon with no emotions or sense of self... someone could do horrible things in battle with such a pokemon..."
  994. [22:43] <~Garlyle> "That was what they were used for, yeah," Wes nods, cutting in at this point. "These Pokemon exist to fight."
  995. [22:44] <~Garlyle> "They're dangerous. The only emotions they have are savage, and as a result... they pose an extreme risk to you and anyone else who uses them."
  996. [22:45] <~Garlyle> And then he extends his hand again. "So that's why you need to hand 'em over to me."
  997. [22:46] <Salino> "...I'm sorry pal but... I just can't do that now." Salino looks determined as hell now. "The moment I received Samu I vowed I would not rest and would stop at nothing until I was able to help it."

  999. [22:47] <~Garlyle> Rui looks about to cut in, but Wes answers first. "Not everyone can even command them, nevermind see their hearts re-open. You're better off giving them to me."
