- A mounted Grecht dragoon yells, "Hark, teac of Duiran! The Talon calls for your appointed
- representative to meet him as ambassador of Exarch Rholva! He awaits at your western
- gate!"
- -movement crap-
- At the base of a ruined tower. (Duiran.) (25325) [-Haern-]
- A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. A large moss-covered
- monolith stands vigilant here. A savage red and green flag waves in the wind, depicting a raven.
- Resting on the ground is a cube-shaped silver sigil. Torrents of water twist and shift around the
- watery form of an undine aquacaster here, masterfully manipulating her element. A burly centaur
- stands sentinel, his hefty crossbow at the ready. Blending in nearly perfectly with her environs, a
- cloaked wilderness warden waits here for potential trouble. A viridian satyr stamps his hooves over
- the ground, muttering shamanic curses to himself here. Prowling about the area is a feral bahkatu
- predator. There are 2 mounted Grecht dragoons here. Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget is here. He
- wields a sweeping talon ranseur in his hands.
- You incline your head politely to those around you.
- Yorvhaset acknowledges you with a nod of his head.
- You say, "I am Solaria, the Feral Will of Duiran. I can speak on its behalf."
- A mounted Grecht dragoon yanks at the reins as their taerilan makes a restless shift, eyeing you.
- You have emoted: Solaria arches a scaled brow, "What is it that needs to be discussed?"
- Yorvhaset:
- He is a muscular Grecht, tall for his kind and covered in scars. His skin is weathered and creased
- with age where it is not covered in black fur, and his countenance is proud and haughty. His yellow
- eyes are narrow, hard and angular, set in a broad, flat-nosed face that seems set in a perpetual
- stony glare. A pair of batlike ears sweep back from his skull, bracketing a tide of intricately
- knotted and braided belts of black-grey hair, and the claws on his hands and feet are meticulously
- trimmed.
- (resplendent and burnished) : silvered dragoon field plate
- (cast back over one shoulder) : a sweeping, hooded cloak of white feathers
- (guarding his hands) : armoured, taloned gauntlets
- (securely tied with sinew) : fur-lined leather sandals
- (slung across his torso) : a white bandolier of worked tlingor hide
- (beneath his field plate) : a uniform of tlingor hide and tundral fur
- (strung on a chain around his neck) : 4 obsidian rings
- Dragoon:
- Clad all in burnished silver and white armour over azure fur, this Grecht dragoon shines in any
- available light; etched designs of masterful complexity chase each other over their gorget,
- breastplate and greaves, depicting the dancing shapes of stylized grecht and strange, winged animals.
- An enormous spear, easily eight feet long and wickedly pointed, is couched against their saddle,
- and a triad of razor-sharp Taerilan talons jut from the knuckles of their silver gauntlets, each of
- them easily a foot long. Their mount is no less magnificent, easily eight feet of solid muscle, sky-
- blue feathers and white down. The Taerilan's eyes gleam with banked silver fire, and they shift and
- prance restlessly, eager to be in motion.
- A mounted Grecht dragoon exudes an aura of overwhelming power.
- It weighs about 500 pound(s).
- Hammering a closed fist into his tlingor-hide breastpate, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says,
- "Well met, Feral Will. I am honoured to serve as Talon to the Nel Arget of the Second Imperium, in
- the time of Exarch Rholva the Youthful, of the Dehkay Plateau, speaking for Arget Efri of the
- Northern Tundra. I meet you with goodwill, may your city persist for a thousand years."
- A mounted Grecht dragoon murmurs, "Shakra, Feral Will."
- Yorvhaset straightens. "My Exarch has directed me into the south on a mission of diplomacy and
- observation. She wishes to understand your flatlander cities better than previously."
- Thumping a closed fist against her right shoulder, you say, "Well met to you all, and much the same.
- I'm glad to make acquaintances with you all finally."
- You say, "Well, we are luckily not a city, like the Enorian folks. So, we are not quite so flat.
- "
- You tap your nose knowingly.
- A mounted Grecht dragoon snorts arrogantly.
- Inclining his head briefly, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "No, in many ways you are not.
- Your magnificent tree is quite the opposite."
- Nodding her head, Solaria looks upwards briefly, you say, "Aye, the Heartwood is a place all its own.
- "
- (Duiran): A cloaked forestal warden says, "Shall I keep an eye on the mounted warriors, Feral
- Will?"
- (Duiran): You say, "Warily, aye. Keep the shadows."
- (Duiran): You say, "Keep to the shadows, I mean. Ahem."
- Spreading his hands, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I would enjoy hearing more of its
- nature, should time and your patience permit, Feral Will. I admit, I had expected to be assaulted as
- I entered your gates."
- (Duiran): A cloaked forestal warden says, "Naturally."
- Rolling her shoulders in a slow shrug, you say, "We are not like some other places. We are a little
- more open..free-minded of sorts."
- You have emoted: "Anything specific you would like to know, or just general things?" Solaria
- continues, glancing towards Yorvhaset.
- You smile and say, "I have plenty of free time, and at least a little patience to spare.
- "
- Yorvhaset tugs at the gorget of his white platemail, huffing out a breath. His black fur and heavy
- armour do not seem to be pleasant in the Ithmia heat. A stern glance is cast to the restlessly
- shifting dragoon at his side. "My queen directs that I tour each of the four flatlander cities." He
- explains to you. "I do not expect to demand the attention of yourself for the duration of my stay,
- Will - I would not be offended to be guided by your teac or nel."
- You have emoted: "Many of my people are working on other affairs." Solaria states bluntly, her tail
- wrapping in loosely about her ankles as she shifts her weight to rest on one foot, "I can show you
- around to our main areas, give you a general idea of what we have to offer."
- You say, "We are all equal here, so we all have our work to do. I, luckily, am just done for mine
- for now."
- You say, "With mine, even.."
- You cough softly.
- You say, "My tongue is a bit weak from some drink I had earlier."
- Yorvhaset switches his grip on his ranseur, pausing for a handful of moments before nodding slightly
- to you. Quite deliberately, he slips the weapon into his belt.
- Yorvhaset ceases to wield a sweeping talon ranseur, securing it to his weaponbelt.
- A cloaked forestal warden inhales sharply.
- A mounted Grecht dragoon draws its eyebrows together, looking at Yorvhaset in consternation.
- You have emoted: Solaria glances towards the warden, simply shaking her head before glancing back at
- Yorvhaset, "Shall we, then?"
- Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says something in an uninterpretable shrill chatter.
- Yorvhaset turns, inclining his head to you. "My men will not disrupt your commune." He asserts. "I
- would be honoured to attend you, Feral Will."
- Yorvhaset begins to follow you.
- (Duiran): You say, "Continue to watch them, Warden. I will make this as short as I can.
- "
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- You say, "Off we go then..let's start with our arena nearby."
- -Movement-
- Kiyao and Ayren circle one another cautiously before darting in to exchange blows.
- A clash of obsidian against steel chainmail rings out through the ruined coliseum as the two
- Sentinel apprentices duel.
- Ayren's broken legs cause him to fall to the ground in a heap. Kiyao stands over him, the flat of
- his blade pressed against the atavian's throat and a triumphant grin on his face.
- Entering the grounds of the coliseum. (Duiran.) (25316)
- The forest rings a central coliseum, an ages-old granite structure sunken into the ground. The
- massive circular ring surrounds a grassy arena in the very middle, just north of here, a giant pit
- of untold depths vanishing into blackness below. The spectator stands ring the pit on all sides,
- little more than granite slabs serving as benches. Prowling about the area is a feral bahkatu
- predator. Kiyao is here, practicing with his dhurive. His red walnut dhurive at the ready, Ayren is
- here. Resting on the ground is a cube-shaped silver sigil. There are 2 monolith sigils here. Talon
- Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget is here.
- You see exits leading north, east, southeast, and west.
- You have emoted: Solaria waves her hand towards the northern direction, "As you can see, this is our
- arena where we go for combat practice. Very standard, nothing fancy."
- You say, "We have two young Sentinels here that seem to practice regularly, which can be very
- entertaining."
- You smile wryly.
- Yorvhaset offers an approving nod to the weathered stones of the coliseum, his eyes intent on the
- sparring apprentices for several moments before they fall. "You train your nel here?" He queries of
- you, half-turning to face you.
- You have emoted: Solaria tilts her head to the side, "Nel is..warrior, aye?"
- Yorvhaset nods his head at you.
- You say, "Then aye, our nel train here."
- Mariena tells you, "What is going on?"
- emote rubs her chin thoughtfully, "I'll show you to the center of the Heartwood - the Core - next."
- You have emoted: Solaria rubs her chin thoughtfully, "I'll show you to the center of the Heartwood -
- the Core - next."
- You tell Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila, "A grecht representative is visiting from the North.
- I'm showing it around."
- Yorvhaset folds his taloned hands behind his back, glancing across to the dueling apprentices. "Of
- course, Feral Will Solaria." He accedes.
- Kiyao and Ayren circle one another cautiously before darting in to exchange blows.
- -movement stuff again-
- The massive core of the Great Oak. (Duiran.) (25263) [-Haern-]
- The grayed statue of a female lupine looms nearby. There are 3 burly centaur crossbowmen here. Raest
- stands here, clasping a great spear in his right hand as he overlooks the primordial heart of the
- Great Oak. A savage red and green flag waves in the wind, depicting a raven. Appearing as though it
- might take root, an oaken chest of Duiran sits aground. Blending in nearly perfectly with her
- environs, a cloaked wilderness warden waits here for potential trouble. A sigil in the shape of a
- small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. There are 3 simple armchairs here. Fell green energy
- emanates from the pulsing core of the Great Oak, a massive pillar erupting from the earth to tower
- over the Heartwood. Resting on the ground is a cube-shaped silver sigil. A large, blood-splattered
- totem has been erected here, formed of obsidian, ivory and red-wood. Facing outwards and surrounding
- the totem are a large ivory bear, an obsidian raven and a red-wood serpent. Munsia is here. The
- sublime glow of the core casts an effulgent green light over the surrounding area.
- You see exits leading north, east, south, and west.
- You have emoted: "This is the very center of our Heartwood, our home." Solaria says softly,
- inclining her head a moment to Munsia, "Here, we can feed items to Dendara through the Core - firing
- its energy in some way. It is also where many of us come to relax after a hunt, sacrificing to the
- Hunter's shrine."
- You have emoted: Solaria waves a hand towards the massive totem in the center of the space, "He is
- highly respected here."
- A slight, creased frown settles across Yorvhaset's features as he steps into the core of the Oak,
- and his discomfort at the damp heat seems forgotten in the face of the glow. "Whence comes this
- power?" He asks of you. "I was not informed that your commune was rooted atop a divinity.
- "
- Munsia looks exhausted and opens her mouth in an enormous yawn.
- You have emoted: "From Dendara..it's a bit odd to explain." Solaria murmurs, reaching up to rub at
- the back of her neck, "Dendara is another plane, one that has been around for a long time. It was
- corrupted..through the healing of the corruption, Lady Lleis sacrificed Herself."
- Mariena tells you, "And you didn't mention to Council? That's exciting!"
- Mariena arrives from the east.
- You say, "With that, Her energy went into Dendara and the Dendaric energies ended up coming into our
- own Heartwood - causing it to grow and expand."
- Munsia says, "Well, I'm lost already."
- You tell Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila, "I'm doing this privately. I do not want to overwhelm
- this creature and cause any issue."
- You grin mischievously at Munsia.
- You have emoted: Solaria waves a hand towards Mariena, "This is the leader of the Shamans, Mariena.
- She is also important to the Council."
- Yorvhaset straightens, his cloak shifting as he rebalances his weight. "Your flatlander mythology is
- not something I am over-familiar with." He informs you with a trace of apology. "Dendada, however,
- is known to the Plateau." As you speaks, he turns and offers Mariena a half-bow. "Greetings to you,
- teac Mariena."
- Mariena walks with a quiet step to you. She dips into a brief curtsey with a nod of her head. "And
- to you, Talon Yorvhaset."
- As he straightens, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget asks, "I confess a measure of confusion. You
- say that this place is the heart of your commune, yet I see no other teac, and only a few wandering
- nel. Have you had a plague of late?"
- You say to Yorvhaset, "No, no plague..besides that of sloth. People have lost focus due to poor
- leadership in the past."
- You say, "Thankfully, we are working on resolving this..slowly but surely."
- Yorvhaset offers a thin smile as he adds, "I do hope I have not scared your peasants into cowering
- in their homes. I left my silver outside to lessen the threat."
- You chuckle long and heartily.
- You say, "If you'd rather I gather them up to meet you, I could see how many I could round up.
- "
- With a slow nod, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I see. Poor leadership is ever the bane of
- the lesser castes."
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- You purse your lips, deep in thought.
- Mildly, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "We are a
- small guild, the Shamans. But none the less resilient. Do you allow questions, Talon?"
- (Duiran): You say, "Councilors. We have a representative of some northern Grecht here at the Core,
- and some dragoons near the western gate. Come to the Core, meet Yorvhaset."
- With a sweeping bow, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I am honoured to speak for the Exarch
- in the flatlands. If it is permitted, I will answer."
- Munsia says, "Do you guys like cake?"
- You raise an eyebrow at Munsia.
- "What?" Munsia asks curiously.
- You say, "That..is a weird question.."
- (Duiran): Amila says, "Coming."
- Smiling brightly in return, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "Wonderful! You spoke of castes.
- Is your home structure that of a caste?"
- Munsia says, "I am queen of the random."
- (Duiran): You say, "Good. Others, come."
- A grey wolf bounds into the room, carrying Amila.
- She is followed by a grey wolf.
- You incline your head politely to Amila.
- (Duiran): You say, "This doesn't happen every day, people."
- Dubiously, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "The young and fledglings are partial to honey
- cakes, I am sure."
- You smile wryly.
- Munsia says, "Not you?"
- You gag a bit as Amila's stink wafts over you.
- You say, "I can appreciate a good honey cake."
- Yorvhaset casts a brief, faintly disgusted glance at Amila, his broad face furrowed. <-- Cause she stank
- Amila slinks through the grass as soon as her feet have touched the ground, swinging herself off of
- the wolf. Immediately, a distrusting, silent glance is shot at Yorvhaset.
- Amila clenches her right fist and pounds her chest thrice in rapid succession, symbolizing the
- vibrant heart that beats within.
- You murmur to Amila, "Go bathe, dear."
- Amila:
- She is a muscular Human roughly half a foot above five feet in height. Tanned to a dark brown colour,
- her skin has been marked up with the evidence of a wild and unruly childhood spent within the
- forest. Hands and feet are heavily calloused with long nails that match the lack of care paid to her
- tangled, brunette hair. Hanging in her face at the best of times, the split ends have been chopped
- off just above her shoulders. When they can be seen, her large eyes appear to be a dark colour that
- hinges on being black. Mud serves as her only form of cosmetics enhancement. Along the exposed flesh
- of her left wrist and lower leg are tribal patterns and exotic animal prints painted in dirty
- mixtures of blood and red ink.
- (carefully tied around her waist) : a lush black belt
- (looking torn and beaten) : a blood splattered leather tunic
- (cut off just above the knees) : a pair of forest-green trousers
- (concealing the lower half of her face) : a viridian face scarf
- (drowning her body with its size) : a heavy robe of deer leather and coyote fur
- Munsia gives a moist washrag to Amila.
- Munsia sways back and forth in front of Amila.
- Amila begins to vigorously scrub herself all over, hopefully trying to remove the terrible stink
- wafting over from her.
- You think for a moment before nodding slowly.
- You say, "Much better.."
- Amila mutters something about honey cakes and hunting.
- Amila gives a moist washrag to Munsia.
- Yorvhaset shifts his weight, his weapons and armour clanking with the motion. "I break my fast with
- rice and springwater." He informs Munsia, carefully polite. "It is not fitting for a warrior of the
- Nel Arget to indulge in excess."
- Munsia says, "Uh huh."
- Turning to Mariena and giving a slight bow, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I am afraid I
- do not entirely follow your question, teac Mariena."
- Munsia rolls her eyes.
- Zax plods in from the west, silver fur gleaming.
- You incline your head politely to Zax.
- Glancing away in concentration, Zax gasps as his body contorts, fur falling away to become Tsol'aa
- once more.
- Zax puts on a pair of crisp black slacks.
- Zax puts on sturdy steel-capped black boots.
- Zax puts on a fine black shirt.
- Carefully, Zax pulls the voluminous robe over his head and smooths down the lush black velvet to
- envelop him properly.
- Zax puts on a pair of rectangular-framed spectacles.
- Kaleigh enters from the east, riding a gentle pony.
- Kaleigh gracefully hops off of a gentle pony.
- Kaleigh slaps a gentle pony on the rump and sends it cantering off.
- Zax adjusts his spectacles back to their rightful spot on his nose and inclines his head.
- (Duiran): You say, "Again, Councilors, grecht representative at the Core. Feel free to come and
- listen in, or ask questions."
- (Duiran): Munsia says, "He's kind of boring though, doesn't eat sweets."
- Mariena nods and tries to explain. "Our Council is made up of Guilds. I am the leader of my own, and
- beneath me are secretaries and guildmates below that in rank, though all can attain positions
- through voting. Is your home land one where those who are ambitious succeed? Or are they born into
- their station, as you are a Warrior, for example?" Her tone is honest and curious.
- (Duiran): You say, "Well, you don't have to be here then. It's fine. Interesting to some of us.
- "
- Amila slips down into a crouch, her fingers finding the fur of her companion wolf as she watches
- everyone and Yorvhaset with rapt interest.
- Munsia grunts noncommittally.
- Munsia says, "Well, off to find something that has more interests than stoic expressions and stuff
- like that."
- Munsia leaves to the west.
- Yorvhaset tilts his head to examine Zax briefly, the transformation spurring his hand to settle at
- the haft of his ranseur. "Those who are born to the nel may rise as nel." He states slowly, shifting
- his gaze back to Mariena. "The teac do not rise, and only those demanded by the neicel may join the
- priesthood."
- You have emoted: Solaria massages her forehead, giving Yorvhaset an apologetic expression,
- "Apologies, Talon..hope that did not offend."
- Inclining his head slightly, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "The Spireans indicated that
- the holy order was not in place in the flatlands. It seems they were not dissembling."
- Yorvhaset acknowledges you with a nod of his head.
- You say, "Holy order?"
- Kaleigh enters the room and takes a quick look around. She then presses the open palm of her left
- hand against the clenched fist of her right and bows respectfully to those gathered. As she
- straightens, she folds her hands in front of her, and listens with intent interest.
- Zax fidgets nervously and straightens out his robe at Yorvhaset's sudden attention, giving a small,
- "S..sorry.."
- Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says to you, "The appointed way of things. The teac serve below,
- the neicel above, and the nel maintain the order. It is strange to me that such order is not known
- here, except informally."
- You think for a moment before nodding slowly at Yorvhaset.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "So they have a sort of caste system?"
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Aye, sort of."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "I didn't notice you come in, sneaky thing."
- Glancing up, Tracker Amila dur Naya asks, "What is a Teac? Outsider? Slave? Low place?"
- You say, "I'm familiar with that sort of system..it's just simply not that traditional any longer.
- "
- Mariena tells you, "Bloodloch would come closer to that type."
- You tell Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila, "Aye, it would."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "That is my middle name. Easier to get my barrings, really.
- "
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Hah."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Nel means warrior, by the way. I've asked about that word so
- far."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "So how far north is he from? Have we ever heard of his land
- before?"
- With a slight, acknowledging nod, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says to Tracker Amila dur Naya,
- "The teac serve in the farmlands and the cliffs. They are the pillars that uphold the temples.
- "
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "If it is where the dragoons are, I believe near the Crag.
- "
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "Ah, I see."
- "Did you call Praadi Hand Mariena a teac?" Amila again questions Yorvhaset, her voice dropping an
- octave.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "He is the..Talon to the Nel Arget of the Second Imperium, in
- the time of Exarch Rholva the Youthful, of the Dehkay Plateau, speaking for Arget Efri of the
- Northern Tundra."
- With a trace of polite bafflement, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says to Tracker Amila dur Naya,
- "Is she not?"
- You purse your lips, deep in thought.
- You say, "What would be a niecel?"
- Yorvhaset indicates Mariena with a spread-palm gesture, stating, "She holds the staff. I assumed
- here, if not in the north, the symbols are in place. I apologise if this is not the case.
- "
- Fledgling Zax says, with elegant syllables, "They sound like.. um.. mid-caste.."
- You have emoted: Solaria chuckles, giving a shake of her head, "The staff, is like your weapon you
- carry - a means to combat others."
- Yorvhaset turns to you, his yellow gaze intent. Several moments pass before he gives a slight nod.
- You say, "So, she would be a nel, I believe. Perhaps a niecel since she does not regularly fight
- folks outright, but she defends and fights by other means than combat alone."
- You wink knowingly at Mariena.
- Twisting a hand over his breasplate, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says to you, "The neicel are
- those appointed to the spirit, the undying caste. They are above us."
- You have emoted: Solaria coughs and inclines her head, "Apologies, my mistake for misunderstanding
- that."
- Yorvhaset casts a narrow, speculative glance at Mariena.
- Mariena gives a stern glance towards Amila as she sidles over to her. "The staff is that of our
- Shamans, it helps us to focus the power that we can wield," she explains with a smile. "It is not
- insult to be compared to a shepherd. Leaders often feel like them anyway," she reasons. "After all,
- I guide my Guild in the ways of our Dendaran Spirits."
- Zax nods slowly as he listens intently to the conversation, placing the pieces together in his mind.
- You nod your head at Mariena.
- Tilting his head to the side, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "You are of the
- undying?"
- You blink.
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "Could you explain what your homeland refers to as the
- undying?"
- Amila unapologetically meets the glance that Mariena aims at her, remaining crouched down with
- fingers curling around her knees. With a soft snort, she again gives her attention back to Yorvhaset.
- You nod your head at Mariena.
- You say, "Please. That'll help."
- Yorvhaset ruffles his wing membranes for a moment, tugging at his gorget absently. "I do not
- understand how your people persist in this heat." He comments, before informing Mariena, "The neicel
- are bound to eternal service. Even as their bodies decay, their will guides the Plateau from Neicel
- Arget. Have you not priests in the south?"
- Urekun clambers down from a nearby vantage point in the treetops.
- You have emoted: Solaria shifts her wings behind her back, giving Yorvhaset a wry grin, "You get
- used to it.." Glancing towards Mariena, she continues, "We do, but undying makes us think of undeath
- - such as the consanguine or others of Bloodloch."
- With a nod, Elwyn Taziyah says, "Aye, it gets worse the further south you go."
- You nod your head at Elwyn.
- Urekun takes a step back, a look of surprise crossing his face before slowly meanders towards Zax.
- Head tipping slightly in thought, Mariena returns, "we do have them, aye, but we split where our
- spirits go versus where animal spirits go. Our spirits, when the Underking calls, goes to him, where
- as the animal Spirits return to Dendara. We do have the souls who continue onto serve past death..
- The Praadi an-Kiar. We are Praadi, chosen to follow in their footsteps."
- The ghostly form of a raven spirit manifests before Mariena.
- Kaleigh unfolds her hands, and covers her mouth slightly to stifle a small giggle. She quickly drops
- her hand again, falling silent again to pay close attention to the conversation.
- You nod your head at Mariena.
- The following citizens of Duiran are in the realm:

- Dipping his head to Mariena, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "The neicel do not go to Dhar.
- Theirs is longer service than the Dead God can command, and He has little sway in Halfat Naru's
- domain."
- Zax pushes his spectacles up his nose again to their rightful spot.
- You think for a moment before nodding slowly.
- "Halfat Naru?" Amila questions out loud, quirking her head to the side.
- Straightening, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I have met with these Consanguine. They lack
- purity, though they have transcended death. They emerge from the volcanoes of the south,
- yes?"
- Arbre enters from the west, riding a large snow leopard.
- She is followed by a cougar spirit.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Why is Arbre here?"
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "No idea."
- Elwyn Taziyah says, "Aye, that is correct."
- Fledgling Zax says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Yes, Sir Talon."
- "They come from dung and rot." Amila firmly corrects Yorvhaset.
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- You chuckle long and heartily.
- Puzzled by the situation, Yorvhaset furrows his brow uncertainly.
- You say to Amila, "That, too."
- Amila bares her teeth in a feral grin.
- Rhine arrives from the west.
- She is followed by a misty grey mare.
- Amila turns to face Rhine clenching her right fist and pounding her chest thrice in rapid succession,
- symbolizing the vibrant heart that beats within.
- Nodding at Yorvhaset, Elwyn Taziyah says, "What do you mean they lack purity?"
- Yorvhaset offers Mariena an approving nod. "Such is the proper order of things. Service to the
- spirit of your home is a joyous burden."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "I didn't tell those of Enorian for a reason. Let us have time
- to talk to them, since the'll get a chance later."
- With a half-turn and a bow, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says to you, "I see that your people
- are not low in number, merely inclined to scatter when nothing draws them to one place.
- "
- Rhine moves quietly to stand next to Elwyn, mimicking Amila's movements as she nods her head in her
- direction.
- Mariena gives Yorvhaset a solemn nod.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "She might have just been passing through, Arbre.
- "
- Nodding her head slowly, you say to Yorvhaset, "Aye, and they are a bit..slow to get places
- sometimes. But, as you can see, we are indeed still strong."
- Amila creases her brow in a frown.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Perhaps. Just seems like an odd coincidence, when she rarely
- comes up here anymore."
- Zax stuffs his hands into the pockets of his robes, saying quietly from the back of the growing
- crowd, "We move as.. as leaves do in the wind.. Never still.."
- Yorvhaset inquires politely, "You maintain armies in the south, one assumes?"
- You think for a moment before nodding slowly.
- You say, "Aye, as do most places that have things to defend."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "No idea, I haven't spoken to my sister much."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "I haven't spoken to her much since she left. I feel she left
- partly because of me."
- Amila points to Yorvhaset. "Asking questions of armies. Why? Do you seek to invade?"
- Yorvhaset narrows his eyes at Amila.
- You have emoted: Solaria narrows her glance towards Amila.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "Why do you believe that?"
- Arbre leaves to the west, riding a large snow leopard.
- She is followed by a cougar spirit.
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "None of those types of questions or comments. This is a friendly
- visit."
- Amila tells you, "Friendly and asks of armies."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "I just..have a feeling."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "If they are war-minded and respect warriors, it is a typical
- question in these sorts of situations."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "Very common, little one."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "Oh, Mariena announced on the guild channel about him being
- here, might be why she showed up. I doubt it, Solaria. She was bored and had been bored and
- dissatisfied with the council for a long time."
- Rhine brings a fist up to her mouth and coughs to cover up a laugh, eyeing Amila with a hint of
- amusement in her eyes.
- Yorvhaset's scarred lip twitches, and after a moment he stills the flicker of irritation and
- inclines his head to Amila. "A lone troop of dragoons would do little in the face of organised
- defence, nel. Rest easy. My queen is taken with ideas of trade, while I am.. well." He pauses, then
- gives a brief, thin smile. "Pardon an old war-mount his interest in the path of knives.
- "
- Amila tells you, "Pah. He asks questions and gets them in return! Not the only one
- curious!"
- You chuckle long and heartily.
- You say to Yorvhaset, "I was just explaining to her that it is a typical question. I was going to
- ask of yours soon as well..if you do not mind my prying into that."
- "Trade? What sort of trade?" Rhine asks, her curiosity now piqued.
- Plainly, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "You wouldn't have lasted long if you marched into
- strange lands with no idea of troop placement."
- You nod your head at Mariena.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Alright."
- Amila does not appear appeased by the response nor does she respond to the glares she's gained,
- instead digging those fingertips into her skin while she reverts to quiet listenings.
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "Questions are good, but you have to learn when and where to ask
- certain ones. It's the whole delegation bit - in case we want these people as allies in the future.
- "
- With another half-bow, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says to Huntress Rhine Taziyah, "That is
- not my place to discuss. One assumes that the goods of the Plateau would be exchanged for what we
- lack - your wines, foodstuffs, metals, perhaps. In exchance - venantium from the Desolation, should
- the neicel permit it. Gems. Such things are best discussed with the teac, not myself."
- Amila tells you, "I do not walk into a house and say 'where are your servants to hide your fancy
- bowls'. Not the first time I visit, Feral Will."
- Tilting her head to the side, you say, "I know several jewelers who would love to get more details
- on that. I hope that can be discussed with the teac later, then."
- Yorvhaset straightens. To you, he directs, "I command a wing of mounted cavalry, Feral Will. The
- armies of the Talons are made up of such divisions. The teac muster their own infantry units, of
- course, beneath the direction of individual captains."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "No, but they do. Each group comes from a different background, and
- you simply have to learn to gauge the situation."
- You have emoted: Solaria nods her head to Yorvhaset, "Thank you for that. I'm sure that they are
- fine divisions, if your dragoons are any showing of such strength."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "I'm not meaning to mean to ya, just trying to help teach you. Hope
- it'll come of use one day."
- Rhine seems satisfied with Yorvhaset's response, noting so by a simple nod of her head before
- linking her arm with Elwyn's to stand quietly by her side.
- Amila tells you, "Take it as a lesson. Don't agree.. but you are Feral Will and I will listen.
- "
- Yorvhaset allows a trace of pride to crease his rough voice as he straightens, squaring his
- shoulders. "On the charge, the rebel teac have known them as the Avalanche. However - such talk of
- war is unfitting of a peaceful visit, perhaps."
- Straightening, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "Perhaps your commune holds other sights for
- a visitor to witness?"
- Amila, with her lips sealed shut against further comment, nods.
- Elwyn places her hand on top of Rhine's own that is on hers.
- You have emoted: "Aye, that will come with time." Solaria replies, nodding her head again, "Aye,
- there are other sights.."
- You say, "Anyone else have questions before I show the Talon a few other notable spots
- here?"
- Mariena tells you, "Shops, they are interested in trade. Foodstuffs yay."
- Tracker Amila dur Naya asks, "Follow?"
- You tell Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila, "Aye, aye. I know."
- You say to Amila, "If you wish. You do not have to."
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Talon, will it be
- possible to peaceably conduct a visit of our own to your homelands at some point?"
- Amila's eyes narrow slightly before she falls into line behind you, fluidly moving into a standing
- position. "Will."
- You have emoted: Solaria rests a hand on Amila's shoulder, a smile spreading across her features
- before letting the hand fall back to her side and turns to face Yorvhaset.
- Rhine grins over at Amila before following in line as well, tugging a bit on Elwyn's arm.
- "Coming?"
- Yorvhaset gives a brief smile. "So also the Spireans asked. I will bring the request to the feet of
- the neicel and the Exarch when I return my report. Likely you will be permitted as far as the
- Daughters - though the Argets will be beyond your reach. They are holy sites, not to feel the tread
- of flatlanders."
- You say to Mariena, "Beating me to all my questions."
- Amila tells you, "..I don't trust outsiders."
- Elwyn begins to follow you.
- Rhine begins to follow you.
- Amila begins to follow you.
- Elwyn nods her head at Rhine.
- Zax promptly shakes his head to you and looks back to Yorvhaset, giving a light bow towards him,
- "Welcome to our um... home.."
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- Yorvhaset acknowledges Zax with a nod of his head.
- You say, "Well then..if that is all, let's show Yorvhaset to our Council shop. An example of what
- merchandise we have to offer."
- Fledgling Zax says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Hopefully the uh... shade of the trees
- will save you from the heat, Sir Talon."
- You grin mischievously at Zax.
- With a smile and incline, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel
- Arget, "We will certainly follow all customs as they're told to us and honor your holy sites.
- "
- Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I have endured worse, teac Zax. Your concern is noted.
- "
- You say to Mariena, "Coming?"
- Mariena begins to follow you.
- Zax's eyes fall partially closed, before the snap of sinew and muscle fills the air. His body
- contorts and reforms completely, and stiff fur rapidly grows from his skin. Shaking his head, Zax
- rights himself and stands straight as a Werebear.
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "But of course, Feral Will."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Ready, Talon? I won't keep you too terribly much longer - I know you have
- much to report."
- Yorvhaset nods his head at you.
- Zax looks to Urekun, waiting.
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- You say, "Let's go on then."
- -movement stuff-
- The Heart of the Eireachdus. (Duiran.) (25343)
- Prowling about the area is a feral bahkatu predator. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular
- monolith is on the ground. Resting on the ground is a cube-shaped silver sigil. There is a simple
- cup of polished obsidian here. You see a sign here instructing you that WARES is the command to see
- what is for sale.
- You see exits leading north (open stone door) and in (closed stone door).
- You have emoted: Solaria as she enters, Solaria waves a hand at the various items on display, "This
- is our Council shop, handled by Mariena."
- You say, "It contains basic combat supplies and things for our new Councilors, along with some
- commodities provided by Miss Rhine."
- You smile and say, "We have many other shops in our Southern areas of the Council, varying with
- drinks, metalworks, food, attire, and more."
- Yorvhaset interlaces his taloned fingers, stepping through the shop and running his gaze politely
- over the arrayed wares. "The Spireans, also, brought me to their city shop." He notes with slight
- amusement. "It appears your people enjoy attempting to sell things to visitors."
- You chuckle long and heartily.
- You say, "Well, we just want to ensure that you know that we have a healthy bounty here as well.
- "
- The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across the lips of Yorvhaset.
- Yorvhaset inclines his head politely to you.
- You frown and say, "And at least you don't have to see nasty slices of organs all over.
- "
- You snort arrogantly.
- Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I will doubtless include reports of your bounty in my
- report, Feral Will. Your great tree alone is testament to that."
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- Tracker Amila dur Naya says to you, "Show him the fruit."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "You should take some fruit when you leave..I will find one when we head to
- the next place."
- You wink knowingly at Amila.
- Amila smirks.
- You say, "Off we go to find the fruit.."
- You purse your lips, deep in thought.
- -moving to find fruit-
- Amila, Elwyn, Mariena, Rhine, and Yorvhaset follow you to the north.
- South of the glowing core of the Great Oak. (Duiran.) (25266) [-Haern-]
- Sap weeps from a giant sugar maple that towers over much of the plantlife in this section of the
- wood. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. Prowling about the
- area is a feral bahkatu predator. Resting on the ground is a cube-shaped silver sigil. Dripping with
- bright green liquid, a very lush fruit rests on the ground here. The sublime glow of the core casts
- an effulgent green light over the surrounding area.
- You see exits leading north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, and northwest.
- You pick up a glowing, luscious fruit.
- You give a glowing, luscious fruit to Yorvhaset.
- You say, "This fruit grows here and only here in the Heartwood."
- Without pausing for breath, Tracker Amila dur Naya says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "A
- testament to the Divine."
- You nod your head at Amila.
- Yorvhaset examines the fruit closely, a momentary flicker of distaste well-concealed behind his
- stony countenance.
- Amila tells you, "See.. I can be good."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "Indeed!"
- You say, "Although it might look and smell odd, it is truly delicious."
- With faint, morbid curiosity, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "It resembles the bowels of a
- plague-dead man."
- You give a trillingly melodic laugh.
- Tracker Amila dur Naya says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Better tasting. Plague-dead man
- leaves waxy taste in mouth. Fruit doesn't."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "It certainly does not taste like that. It's hard to explain..but it is simply
- pleasurable entirely."
- Elwyn Taziyah says, "Do you not have much fruit in your homelands, Talon? I've a sister who dislikes
- fruit because she didn't grow up having it."
- Amila stares implacably at Elwyn.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Where else should I show?"
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "The mural?"
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "Perhaps the fireflies?"
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Ah, yes, fireflies."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Elwyn says, "Oh yes, the mural."
- Elwyn Taziyah says to Tracker Amila dur Naya, "It's true."
- Huntress Rhine Taziyah says to Elwyn Taziyah, "She's also cranky. Cranky people don't deserve fruit.
- "
- Tracker Amila dur Naya says to Elwyn Taziyah, "..I don't believe this."
- You chuckle long and heartily.
- Elwyn Taziyah says to Tracker Amila dur Naya, "Hates anything sweet as well."
- Yorvhaset inclines his head briefly to Elwyn. "I am not partial to sweetness, it is true.
- Snowberries are fit only for wine - none but the starving teac will eat of them as fruit.
- "
- Tracker Amila dur Naya says to Elwyn Taziyah, "Sour fruits."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "We make some alcoholic drinks from the fruit."
- You tap your nose knowingly.
- Elwyn gives Amila a solemn nod.
- "Tell her to eat them before ripe." Amila points a finger at Elwyn.
- Huntress Rhine Taziyah says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "My mother has made a tea from
- this fruit, you should try it."
- You say, "Alright..moving along..let us talk and shift over to the mural area."
- -we like to move it move it-
- Before a carven stone mural. (Duiran.) (25235)
- A burly centaur stands sentinel, his hefty crossbow at the ready. A savage red and green flag waves
- in the wind, depicting a raven. Blending in nearly perfectly with her environs, a cloaked wilderness
- warden waits here for potential trouble. A large nest sits at the foot of the mural. Its eyeless
- head raised in a silent howl, a bone wolf idol stands here. A sigil in the shape of a small,
- rectangular monolith is on the ground. A mural is carved into the northern wall, depicting the form
- of a large wolf. A myriad of white chrysanthemum flowers blossoms here, poking between the twigs
- and branches of the nest at the foot of the mural.
- You can see the following 10 objects:
- "centaur20587" a burly centaur crossbowman. [P][C][G]
- "flag36535" a savage flag of the Duiran Council. [P][C][G]
- "warden37675" a cloaked forestal warden. [P][C][G]
- "nest57322" a large nest. [P][C][G]
- "statue77969" a howling wolf idol of bleach-white bones. [P][C][G]
- "monolith sigil145370" a monolith sigil.
- "mural173767" a mural of a lone wolf. [P][C][G]
- "raven244025" a raven spirit. [P][C][G]
- "mare32939" a misty grey mare. [P][C][G]
- "wolf23268" a grey wolf. [P][C][G]
- Elwyn nods her head at Rhine.
- With a polite inclination of his head, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "I would be honoured
- to try your dam's tea, nel Rhine."
- Elwyn pours out the contents of a polished goblet of red obsidian on the ground.
- You have emoted: Solaria inclines her head respectfully towards the mural before she speaks, "This
- place is the entrance to a memorial grounds for Lady Lleis. It is, also, where the wolf spirit lurks
- - in this mural."
- (Duiran): Xavin says, "Hello."
- Elwyn gives a polished goblet of red obsidian to Yorvhaset.
- (Duiran): You say, "Hello, Xavin."
- (Duiran): Amila says, "Hello."
- You say, "We consider it fairly hollow, as we consider the Valley of the Ancients as much..different
- reasons, but same respect."
- The vague image of a knotted band of the hunt appears in the air, before Xavin appears in a flash of
- magic.
- You incline your head politely to Xavin.
- In response, possibly, to your words, Amila's companion wolf moves past the younger human to stand
- closer to the mural before setting itself down to cheerfully pant.
- You say to Xavin, "This is Talon Yorvhaset, a grecht representative from the Northern Tundra.
- "
- Yorvhaset queries uncertainly, "Wolf spirit, Feral Will? You appear to have many individual
- creatures of the undying."
- Yorvhaset inclines his head politely to Xavin.
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- Tracker Amila dur Naya frowns and says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Entire realm of them.
- "
- You say, "We are very attuned to the spirits here, due to the Praadi being a large part of our
- homeland."
- You say, "We have Dendara's energy, after all, so that also helps."
- Xavin's tail flicks behind himself as he looks over Yorvhaset, finally offering a respectful bow. "A
- pleasure to have officials from so far away visit us."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Elwyn and Xavin are both Bendandanti, part of our ruling Council here. I
- should have mentioned that quite earlier."
- Amila clenches her right fist and pounds her chest thrice in rapid succession, symbolizing the
- vibrant heart that beats within.
- Mariena gives a quiet nod. "We have much to serve, since those who enter the undying or into Dendara
- also happen to retain their sense of self. So you have the Wolf, the Raven and so on," she explains
- further of the spirits.
- Yorvhaset taps a thumb-claw against the haft of his ranseur, shifting it to a more comfortable
- position across his weaponbelt. "It is my pleasure to partake of the flatlander culture." He directs
- to Xavin, mirroring the bow. "As strange as it is at times. I have the bemused feeling that these
- words of Dendara would strike the neicel as sacrilege, but perhaps not."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Perhaps, but it'll be something we'll just have to see. Hopefully not.
- "
- You have emoted: Solaria glances to the side, tail twitching back and forth behind her, "Hm..perhaps
- we should move on, hm? Show the upper parts of the Heartwood."
- Balance Used: 1.00 seconds
- You beckon Xavin to you.
- Xavin begins to follow you.
- Tracker Amila dur Naya exclaims, "The boughs!"
- You smile at Amila.
- -move it like it's hot..?-
- Upper reaches of the Great Oak. (Duiran.) (25465)
- A viridian satyr stamps his hooves over the ground, muttering shamanic curses to himself here. A
- sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. Prowling about the area is a
- feral bahkatu predator. Resting on the ground is a cube-shaped silver sigil. Hundreds of fireflies
- flit about the eaves of the Great Oak here with golden luminescence.
- You see exits leading northeast, south, and down.
- You have emoted: Solaria reaches out, running a hand through a group of fireflies, "This is the
- upper reaches of our Council. You'll find hundreds of these flitting creatures up here."
- Wryly, Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "All through the oak, really."
- You nod your head at Xavin.
- Rhine's amber eyes stare unabashed at Yorvhaset for several moments. "I am curious about the words
- you use... nel and neicel. What do they mean?" she asks softly.
- You say, "Just more clear here."
- Amila barely finds balance on the upper boughs of the Great Oak, swaying slightly with the effort.
- Yorvhaset regards the aforementioned insects with a faint frown, keeping well back from them. "They
- resemble the worms of the caverns beneath the Talons." He admits. "Winged, though." The boughs under
- his feet do not seem to disturb his balance, nor the height of this perch. "You cultivate them? For
- food, honey?"
- You have emoted: Solaria laughs abruptly, giving a quick shake of her head, "No, no. They are just
- here. Though, I've seen a few people accidentally end up with one in their mouth."
- "For swatting." Amila states.
- "They simply grow," Xavin says with a shrug. "Though at times their displays can be rather pleasing
- to the eye."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Some people eat the planthoppers which run a bit rampant, but that's as close
- as it gets."
- A thin smile appears on Rhine's lips as she nods her head at Amila.
- Amila smirks at Rhine.
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "And for illumination purposes as well. The upper bougs are
- much easier to traverse with their minute brilliance all forming together."
- You nod your head at Mariena.
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "Boughs, excuse me."
- Yorvhaset's frown deepens, and all at once he gives a sharp nod, resting a hand on the butt of a
- hammer strung through his belt. "This is a rampant place." He observes softly.
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- Amila tells you, "I do not trust him at all, Feral Will."
- You say, "It is what separates us from other places in the 'flatlands'"
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "You do not need to. Trust is earned, which they will have to do
- with time - if they so want an alliance."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Any other places, you think? Or that about it, really.
- "
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Arena, shop, core, upper boughs."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Xavin says, "Maybe the bough? Or the cairn?"
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Hmm..aye, Bough and Cairn."
- You say, "Alright..let us move to two more spots."
- -walking-
- "So I observe." Yorvhaset stares at the fireflies for a moment longer, then gives a slight shake of
- his head.
- -because of his balance, I lose the poor talon but don't notice-
- -walking still-
- Yorvhaset tells you, "Hm."
- You tell Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Yes?"
- -finally stopped-
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "We lost him."
- Xavin urges those about him onward.
- You say, "Err.."
- Rhine giggles happily.
- You say, "Where?"
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "The base of a gargantuan root."
- Yorvhaset tells you, "I have made my way to your commune's core, Feral Will. You moved rather too
- fast for me."
- -move quickly woman!-
- You cough softly.
- Yorvhaset offers you a faintly rueful smile.
- Yorvhaset gracefully hops off of an armoured silver taerilan.
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Apologies, Talon."
- An armoured silver taerilan begins to follow Yorvhaset obediently.
- Rhine smirks.
- You beckon Yorvhaset to you.
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "She can be over-enthusiastic at
- times."
- You snort arrogantly at Xavin.
- Bowing at the waist, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "The fault is mine, Feral Will. My legs
- are not as they once were."
- Yorvhaset begins to follow you.
- You say, "And..now..to walk slower."
- -yay for walking-
- In the midst of a great stone circle. (Duiran.) (25290) [-Haern-]
- A large, blood-splattered totem has been erected here, formed of obsidian, ivory and red-wood.
- Facing outwards and surrounding the totem are a large ivory bear, an obsidian raven and a red-wood
- serpent. With flared nostrils and wild eyes, a roan brumby stallion gallops about here. A viridian
- satyr stamps his hooves over the ground, muttering shamanic curses to himself here. Ivaryen stands
- rooted amongst the ancient stones, its bark alight with the gleam of the primordial. A small cairn
- rises up from among the standing stones, shining with a fey inner light. Blending in nearly
- perfectly with her environs, a cloaked wilderness warden waits here for potential trouble. A sigil
- in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground.
- You see exits leading north, east, south, and west.
- Amila stares implacably at you.
- Amila tells you, "..no. Really?"
- You have emoted: Solaria points a single digit towards the cairn here, "We use this here to enter
- the Valley of the Ancients - a small fragment of Dendara that we have access to."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "Sorry, I got distracted there with the chatter in my head.
- "
- Amila tells you, "Oh no! I thought we were showing him Dendara! My mistake!"
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "He's old and nervous. I would be if I had never seen a place like
- this, too."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "No, no, just here."
- Amila tells you, "Good! Thank you.. thank you. Good. He does not need that."
- Yorvhaset stoops, dropping to a knee and pressing his forehead to the soil in a single motion - it
- is over in a handful of breaths, and he straightens swiftly with an ease apparently born of long
- repetition. "So I observe." He murmurs to you. "The spirits bleed through here."
- You have emoted: Solaria nods her head, brow furrowing slightly as she murmurs, "At one point, the
- cairn itself bled.." She shakes her head, as if trying to erase the thought from her mind, "But,
- that is all done with now, thankfully."
- Amila openly and heatedly stares at Yorvhaset, both of her hands balled by her side.
- Brushing soil from his breeches, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "The ways of spirits are
- unpredictable, and often unwise to meddle with. Is there a customary offering that may be made to
- your Praadi spirits, Feral Will? I would not wish to appear disrespectful."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Normally, when a Praadi offers, they offer blood from their palm. However,
- the Hand of the Praadi should better answer this in my stead."
- You tell Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila, "Your cue!"
- Yorvhaset turns expectantly on Mariena.
- Rhine moves away from Elwyn to stand next to Amila, linking an arm with hers in an effort to keep
- her calm.
- "Talon Yorvhaset," Mariena begins stepping up with her staff clinking, "We often do a sacrifice of
- blood to our Spirits by slitting our palms. We take no offense if you do not wish to offer this.
- "
- Amila's hold on Rhine is strong, that offered limb pulled closer to her with the linked flesh
- growing taut from the tension. Even noticing that, her expression is as it was with dark eyes
- focused entirely on Yorvhaset.
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "Instead, if you would like to offer your own home's words
- of praise, we would be honored. After all, the Undying sounds much like our spirit realms.
- "
- Yorvhaset informs Mariena, dipping his head respectfully, "My blood has been pledged to Halfat Naru,
- Hand of the Praadi. I do not know if such power will be taken as a desecration here, or on the
- Plateau. It is perhaps unwise to shed it in ritual."
- Macian tells you, "If you were talking to me, I was deaf. Sorry."
- You tell Macian Amaratha, "No, was grabbing Yorvhaset."
- "Understood entirely," Mariena answers with a quick smile. "Instead, if you would not mind, I will
- shed mine in honor of your visit." She steps up, unwielding her staff and bringing her dagger, point
- down, to hover over her right hand.
- Yorvhaset pauses for a handful of breaths, then accedes to Mariena with a bow.
- Mariena ceases to wield a Shamanic quarterstaff.
- Mariena starts to wield a jewel-encrusted sacrificial dagger in her left hand.
- Macian enters from the south, riding a grey mule.
- You incline your head politely to Macian.
- You tell Macian Amaratha, "Follow if you want to be a part of the touring."
- Macian begins to follow you.
- Rhine uses her free hand to lightly pat Amila's arm, watching Mariena curiously.
- Macian tells you, "Touring?"
- You tell Macian Amaratha, "Aye. Yorvhaset is a representative from Northern Tundra grecht.
- "
- Macian tells you, "I see. What will we be touring?"
- Yorvhaset passes a careful, assessing glance over Macian, eyes lingering on the painted shield.
- You have emoted: Solaria folds her hands behind her back, watching Mariena a moment before bowing
- her head in respect.
- You tell Macian Amaratha, "After this, the Bough."
- Mariena opens her right palm flat and facing upward. "Spirits of Dendara," she chants softly, "we
- honor you this day, for a visitor from the great north wishes to pay their respects. Spirits of
- Dendara, we honor you." One deep slice later, she flips her bleeding hand over and slaps it to the
- cairn, allowing her bloody print to mingle with the stained stone.
- You tell Macian Amaratha, "You've missed a lot."
- Macian glances as his shield, then tilts his head to the side as he returns Yorvhaset's gaze. After
- a moment, he nods his head in acknowledgement.
- Amila stare at that bloodied handprint before turning a questioning look to Mariena.
- You have emoted: Solaria tilts her head back up, nodding at Mariena, "Thank you, Hand."
- Balance Used: 1.00 seconds
- Bowing his head, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says something in an uninterpretable shrill
- chatter.
- Macian tells you, "I just woke up, sooo... probably."
- You say, "Alright, folks..may we move on to our last destination?"
- Yorvhaset straightens, and casts Mariena a measured nod.
- Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "Of course, Feral Will."
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- You say, "Let us go."
- -moving around-
- The Ivory Bough Tavern. (Duiran.) (25452) [-Haern-]
- A savage red and green flag waves in the wind, depicting a raven. An aged cask has been set by the
- bar here and atop it rests a wooden tray that has been littered with cups. A large, blood-splattered
- totem has been erected here, formed of obsidian, ivory and red-wood. Facing outwards and surrounding
- the totem are a large ivory bear, an obsidian raven and a red-wood serpent. Prowling about the area
- is a feral bahkatu predator. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground.
- Muria bustles about the tavern with flagons of ale and mead in hand, a smile touching her warm
- features. A cup lies here, chiseled from obsidian. There are 2 polished goblets of red obsidian here.
- A small cup carved from bone rests here. A delicate white tea cup sits here. A crested glass cup
- rests here, glinting softly. A plain tankard has been dropped here. There is a simple cup of
- polished obsidian here. A woven hand basket sits nearby. You see a sign here instructing you that
- WARES is the command to see what is for sale.
- You see exits leading north (open pine door), southeast, and southwest.
- You have emoted: Solaria inclines her head to Muria, a faint smile creeping across her features,
- "This is the Ivory Bough, our tavern and place to gather and talk over drinks."
- Rhine guides Amila over to an empty corner of the tavern, attempting to keep out of the way.
- Yorvhaset likewise offers Muria an inclination of his head, albeit one a shade briefer than those
- offered to the various Councilors. "There seem to be many of these taverns in the south." He
- observes. "All of them small. The pleasure gardens of Arget Tep dwarf them by comparison.
- "
- You say, "Arget..Tep?"
- You raise an eyebrow questioningly.
- You say, "Ah, right, your homeland.."
- Amila opts to sit on the table nearest the corner, allowing Rhine to walk her away but not far
- enough that she could not hear or act should something happen. Hoisting herself up with her freed
- hand, either of her legs dangle inches from the ground.
- You have emoted: Solaria sighs, rubbing her fingers into her forehead, "I'm getting a bit weary.
- Mind is starting to slip a bit."
- With a slight shake of his head, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "The teac heartland -
- fortress of the Dehkay Basin. The greatest of our cities, barring Neicel Arget."
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- From her corner of the tavern, Tracker Amila dur Naya asks Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "A
- spirtual place?"
- Correcting herself, Tracker Amila dur Naya says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "This Arget.
- "
- (Duiran): Amila says, "Each location seems like built around a ranking."
- Daskalos Qefin yells, "I'm trapped in Rhine's bedroom! Halp!"
- Rhine blushes furiously.
- Amila pointedly says nothing at all.
- Yorvhaset turns in a swirl of white feathers to direct a frown at Amila. "All places on the Plateau
- belong to the spirit." He corrects $Amlia_her. "But Arget Tep is not among the temples, no.
- "
- Elwyn peers at Rhine suspiciously.
- Yorvhaset casts a glance at the entrance to the tavern, furrowing his brow slightly at the distant
- yell.
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says to Huntress Rhine Taziyah, "You best go see to that."
- You tell Daskalos Qefin, "..shush."
- Daskalos tells you, "But but."
- Fledgling Zax yells, "Perhaps you um.. shouldn't have been sniffing around!"
- Urekun Starion yells, in Tsol'aa, "Pervert!"
- You tell Daskalos Qefin, "We have a representative here!"
- A mounted Grecht dragoon yells, "Talon! There is kidnapping!? Are you in danger!?"
- You massage your temple, closing your eyes as you softly sigh.
- Elwyn gives a pained sigh.
- Elwyn leaves to the north.
- Xavin frowns deeply and turns towards Yorvhaset. "I apologize for my daughter's...friend.
- "
- You yell, "All is well, dragoon."
- Yorvhaset pinches at the bridge of his broad nose with his claws.
- You say to Yorvhaset, "We should likely wrap this up, before they come to find you."
- Amila frowns back, planting her palm against the table she sits on. "You should draw a map." She
- ignores any further yelling.
- Rhine narrows her eyes at Xavin.
- Dourly, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "They are rapidly eroding my patience. This is the
- second performance of unnecessary paranoia since we arrived in the south."
- You say, "You cannot blame them when all is so new."
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "I would advise you to keep them
- on hand when you approach Bloodloch."
- You nod your head at Xavin.
- A mounted Grecht dragoon tells you, "It had best be, flatlander queen, or the claws of the Avalanche
- will rend you!"
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Enorian as well."
- You say, "I appreciate our southern allies..but they can be a bit zealous. Though, Bloodloch will
- likely just try to feed on you all."
- Yorvhaset exhales a quiet sigh. "Those further south are more violent than the northern
- flatlanders?" He queries. "This had not been reported. I have been cautioned that the Consanguine
- city is an unpleasant place, but not of murder."
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Put nothing past Bloodloch."
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "They tend to act first and ask second."
- You nod your head at Mariena.
- "They thrive on it, particularly in the caverns," Xavin says, nodding his head once. "If the
- Bloodlochians think they can profit from it they will do harm."
- Yorvhaset adds, after a moment, "They contributed most heavily to the building of Arget Massa in
- your Siroccian mountains. It seems unlikely that they would turn on Massai's distant motherland so
- swiftly."
- Xavin's tail flicks back and forth and says, "Several of those who contributed to that were of
- Bloodloch at the time."
- The vague image of a band of gilded flames appears in the air, before Elwyn appears in a flash of
- magic.
- Elwyn Taziyah says to Huntress Rhine Taziyah, "I went and rescued him for you."
- You have emoted: Solaria rolls her shoulders in a shrug, "Bloodloch can be a fickle place. They will
- turn if they feel it will benefit them."
- Rhine's cheeks are still flushed a bright pink hue as she manages to nod her head at Elwyn. "Thanks,
- Mom," she whispers.
- Yorvhaset nods his head slowly to you, tapping a claw against his lucerne hammer. "I will keep that
- in mind, Feral Will, when my legion visits their domain."
- You nod your head at Yorvhaset.
- You say to Yorvhaset, "Let us head back to them now."
- -moving again-
- At the base of a ruined tower.
- You see exits leading northeast, southeast, and west.
- Elwyn arrives from the northeast.
- Amila tells you, "They might say the same of us."
- You have emoted: Solaria inclines her head to the two dragoon and then to Yorvhaset, "I do hope that
- your visit here has been interesting."
- Agitatedly, a mounted Grecht dragoon says something in an uninterpretable shrill chatter.
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "I doubt that."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "Maybe Enorian, but not us."
- Acidly, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says to a mounted Grecht dragoon, "Retire to your tent
- when we make camp after leaving. Thirty switches and reflection on the duty to silence of the nel.
- "
- Adjusting his gorget, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says, "Be grateful I am not taking a finger
- A blaze of purple moths sweeps through the air - and a moment later, bounding from the trees on all
- fours, Omei, the Artist skids to a halt, straightening up with Her claws unsheathed.
- You blink.
- You incline your head politely to Omei.
- Yorvhaset turns to face you, bowing deeply - he straightens rapidly as Omei appears.
- Omei straightens up slowly, a radiant glow surrounding Her, Her eyes fixed upon Yorvhaset.
- Yorvhaset swiftly swings up onto an armoured silver taerilan.
- Yorvhaset pulls a sweeping talon ranseur from his weaponbelt fluidly.
- Yorvhaset starts to wield a sweeping talon ranseur in his hands.
- You say to Omei, "To what do we owe the pleasure, Artist?"
- A mounted Grecht dragoon surges to the side as his nervous taerilan gives a sudden growl, eying Omei.
- Amila simply stares at Omei, her feet frozen to the ground and eyes dark with curiousity.
- Moths and shadows circling Her unsteadily as She bares her teeth, Omei issues a wordless challenge
- to Yorvhaset, raising Her hackles and emitting a faint, cackling growl from the depths of Her maw.
- She circles, a tendril of shadow in Her hand, snapping it as though in warning.
- Macian raises his shield slightly to protect himself as he steps back from Omei, his eyes wary.
- Rhine turns to look wide-eyed at Omei, bowing her head in reverence to Her.
- Sharply, Omei, the Artist says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "What are you."
- You have emoted: Solaria takes a step back, reaching for something from her kitbag as she carefully
- watches the exchange.
- You take a fiery aetherstaff of swirling spatial motes from a tundra inspired leather kitbag.
- You take a buckler from a tundra inspired leather kitbag.
- Mariena steps forward boldly, though dips her head politely enough. "He is a representative who was
- invited to tour the Council of Duiran peaceably, Artist."
- You start to wield a fiery aetherstaff of swirling spatial motes in your left hand.
- You start to wield a buckler in your right hand.
- Yorvhaset couches his ranseur against his saddle - but does not yet drop it into an aggressive
- position. "I am honoured to serve as Talon to the Nel Arget of the Second Imperium, in the time of
- Exarch Rholva the Youthful, of the Dehkay Plateau, speaking for Arget Efri of the Northern Tundra."
- He recites, flatly, almost in one breath. "Your aggression is untoward, spirit."
- Daskalos arrives from the west.
- Omei's whip of nightmare hovers in the air, drifting as if in a dream - and then it falls, pooling
- on the ground with a snakelike hiss. The initial aggression fades, and She sinks back, falling to
- all fours as She becomes quiescent once more.
- Xavin frowns deeply and then says, "The Artist is one of the Divine, Talon Yorvhaset," his tone
- rather soft. "I would advise caution."
- Rhine quickly reaches for Daskalos' hand, linking it with hers.
- A mounted Grecht dragoon says something in an uninterpretable shrill chatter.
- A moth alights on Omei's nose, its wings opening to momentarily conceal Her eyes.
- Urekun leaves to the northeast following Zax.
- Urekun enters from the northeast following Zax.
- Zax bows respectfully to Omei.
- Amila falls down into a crouch, all toes digging into the ground as her stare moves from Omei to
- Yorvhaset and back again.
- Yorvhaset's hand tightens on the haft of his ranseur, and he watches Omei tensely, not deigning to
- respond to his soldier. "I would depart in peace, Divinity." He states, tightly.
- You have emoted: Solaria nods her head towards Xavin, taking a few steps forward, "Aye, She is not a
- mere spirit, Yorvhaset."
- A harsh Rajamala accent cutting through Her words, Omei, the Artist says something in an
- uninterpretable shrill chatter.
- You draw your eyebrows downward and together in consternation.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "I have no idea what they are saying."
- Xavin tentatively raises a hand and says, "I do not think that there is any need for aggression.
- This just seems like a bit of a misunderstanding."
- His already stony expression darkening into a scowl, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says
- something in an uninterpretable shrill chatter.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Xavin says, "You do not understand their tongues?"
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "No, nor Rajamalan."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Xavin says, "This is not good."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Do you?"
- Elwyn's grey gaze shifts from Omei to Yorvhaset.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Xavin says, "In short, the Artist takes offense at the statement that
- they would gut her and Talon Yorvhaset is upset at Her aggression."
- Phrasing Herself harshly, Omei, the Artist says to Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "You bring
- only despair. The stench of surrender is on you and all your north-ilk. I see dreams - dreams of
- death."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "..lovely."
- A mounted Grecht dragoon begins to follow Yorvhaset.
- A mounted Grecht dragoon begins to follow Yorvhaset.
- The hair raises on the back of Amila's neck as she listens to Omei, hands claiming the dhurive by
- her side.
- Macian creases his brow in a frown.
- You draw your eyebrows downward and together in consternation.
- (Duiran): Amila says, "The gods frown on this!"
- Stiffly, Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget says something in an uninterpretable shrill chatter.
- (Duiran): Xavin says, "Do not presume to speak for all of Them."
- (Duiran): Mariena says, "Because the Artist is certainly known for her sanity."
- (Duiran): You say, "Aye, as Xavin has sai."
- (Duiran): You say, "Said, even."
- Yorvhaset inclines his head to you from atop his mount, lips twitching.
- You have emoted: Solaria nods her head to Yorvhaset, letting out a shallow sigh.
- (Duiran): Amila says, "A goddess frowns! There."
- You tell Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Likely best that you make your way back home.
- "
- Omei straightens up, Her shoulderblades hunched outward, Her eyes glowing as moths creep through Her
- hair. She paces, back and forth, never once removing her eyes from Yorvhaset.
- (The Benandanti Consulate): Xavin says, "He said that your hospitality will be reported to his queen
- as excellent and thanks you for allowing him this visit."
- Yorvhaset tells you, "Two settlements remain before I may submit my report. Your Gods are capricious.
- "
- You tell Talon Yorvhaset, of the Nel Arget, "Mm..aye. They can be. But, I appreciate your visit and
- your time."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "Thank you."
- (Duiran): Xavin says, "Yes. But She is, if I might, rather quick to anger."
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "I was just talking to him privately, advising him to go ahead.
- "
- (Duiran): Xavin says, "I mean no offense by that, Lady."
- Bowing her head slightly, Elwyn Taziyah says, "Thank you for coming to the council, Talon. It's been
- wonderful to have you here."
- Yorvhaset raises his voice slightly, his tone cold as he declares, "I extend the invitation of Arget
- Efri, a small outpost of the Plateau on the Northern Tundra, to interested visitors. We go in peace,
- and wish bounty on your commune."
- Yorvhaset nods his head at a mounted Grecht dragoon.
- Yorvhaset blurs with speed as his mount gallops him away to the west.
- He is followed by a mounted Grecht dragoon and a mounted Grecht dragoon.
- Rhine looks worriedly up at Daskalos as she tightens her hand around his.
- You massage your temple, closing your eyes as you softly sigh.
- You see Omei yell, "Go! Go! Take your dreams with you!"
- You say, "I need to go rest a bit..take a bit of mending to the head."
- Xavin reaches up, dragging a hand through his hair. "Why do I feel as if that could have gone better,
- " he mutters to himself.
- Omei throws back Her head, emitting a bellowing, piercing scream toward the starlit heavens.
- Zax creases his brow in a frown.
- You nod your head at Xavin.
- You say, "Well, the majority of it went well."
- Moths scatter from Omei as She turns, wild-eyed, peering through the crowd until, at last, She fixes
- on Mariena.
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "I do believe it went perfectly well up to a point.
- "
- Elwyn nods her head at you.
- Omei, the Artist says to Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila, "Until you - started - calling Me mad.
- No call for names. No call for NAMES..."
- A twisted, shadowy figure cleaves through the air and hurtles toward Mariena, wrapping around her
- like a dark, sinuous rope and immobilizing her in mere moments.
- "Meh," you utter noncommitally.
- Voice a screech suddenly, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "You ARE."
- Xavin's tail lashes behind himself as he stares at Omei. "M'Lady, perhaps if You did not appear so...
- impulsive...we would not gain that impression," he states rather dryly.
- Omei tilts Her head, eyes glowing, expression changing as She glowers at Mariena. Sinking closer and
- closer with slow, silent footsteps, moths chittering angrily as they swarm around Her.
- Fledgling Zax says to Omei, the Artist, in Tsol'aa, "Mother of Dreams is there um.. anything I might
- do to help calm Your anger?"
- Amila continues to watch Omei, raising up onto both of her feet. Holding her hand out towards Omei,
- she looks over her shoulder to Xavin. "He did not like us from the beginning!"
- Omei, the Artist says, "You hear how he talks. Barbarian. Primitive. Him with his broken hand. Him
- with his... you bow to him but hate Me."
- Elwyn Taziyah says, "We've been called worse by allies."
- "He is a foreigner," Xavin states, rolling his shoulders. "We do not hate You. We do not appreciate
- disruptions to what seemed to be perfectly good diplomatic proceedings."
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "We cannot simply hide here in the oak and turn away newcomers.
- "
- You have emoted: "We were trying to open negotiations with them is all, Lady." Solaria says clearly,
- spreading her hands infront of her, "As Xavin has said, that is all it is."
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "Now, I would appreciate it if you would unhand the Hand of the Praadi.
- "
- You say, "It may go nowhere, but at least we learned of them and know more."
- Omei, the Artist says, "Maybe if you listen to Me instead of demonstrating silly, silly obsession
- with 'diplomatic proceedings'... Maybe you listen to Me. Maybe you listen to Me, just once, but no,
- no, you DON'T listen to Me, you DON'T pay attention to Me, you just..."
- Omei's voice rises and falls, veering from one extreme to the other as She struggles to voice
- Herself. At last, venting a sharp huff of breath, She gives up, stares at Mariena, and twists Her
- claws.
- The twisted shadows melt away from Mariena's frame and leave her free.
- Lowering his shield slightly Macian says, "Lady Dream.." he closes his mouth abruptly, catching his
- mistake before continuing, "...Artist. There is no hate. It is frustrating for.." he gestures to the
- gathered councilors, "...for us when we meet outsiders and attempt to learn more, but then be unable.
- Perhaps you could tell us about the dreams, the stink of defeat?"
- Xavin's expression eases once Mariena is free and he says, "We want to listen, but it is hard when
- it is not...offered rather than demanded."
- Omei, the Artist exclaims, "Too late! I'm not wanted, am I. Nothing of Me. Fine. You help him. You
- help the stupid northerner. You help. Much good may it do you! MUCH good!"
- The Goddess Omei turns on Her heel, shadow cloaking Her frame as She dissolves into purple moths -
- She streams away, vanishing in blurs of brilliant violet.
- Zax's eyes shift and he backs off into the trees again.
- Elwyn strides over to Mariena's side, laying a hand on her arm.
- Urekun leaves to the northeast following Zax.
- Dryly, Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "Sounds vaguely like Rhine when she was little."
- Macian heaves a deep sigh, shaking his head.
- You have emoted: "Pit it all.." Solaria mutters under her breath, reaching a hand to her head as
- she kneels down, "I'll try to smooth that over later."
- Rhine glares angrily at Xavin.
- Mariena twitches each limb in turn, making sure that she is able to move once more.
- You say, "I'm too slow with this damned headache..barely could get a word out between you all.
- "
- -losing all the followers-
- Xavin shakes his head and lets out a breath. "What would there have been to say?"
- Eyes rather wide but voice obstinate but tiny, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "I remain of
- the same opinion."
- With a wry smile, Macian Amaratha says, "New ground rule for diplomacy, perhaps... let's try not to
- piss off the beings who can snuff us all out OR the visitors."
- You have emoted: Solaria stands back upright, shaking her head, "I don't really know, frankly. She
- barely speaks to any of us in ages, and then shows up now."
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "She was pissed before one of us even said a word."
- Xavin nods his head at you.
- Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "Then there is that."
- Rhine looks worriedly over at Mariena, "You okay, Mari?" she asks, moving closer to Daskalos for
- comfort.
- Glancing around, Seneschal Xavin Taziyah says, "Besides....She would not strike against those that
- serve Her brothers."
- More firmly, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says, "I am fine, and it was a mighty impressive
- effort y'all put in to keep me that way."
- You think for a moment before nodding slowly at Xavin.
- Xavin pads over to Mariena, worrying his lip for a moment or two. "You sure?"
- With a slight shrug, Macian Amaratha says to Seneschal Xavin Taziyah, "I suppose I missed that part.
- I've encountered Her perhaps once since I was part of Her order back in Ashtan."
- You say to Mariena, "I should have stepped in, dear. I'm glad you are alright."
- Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says to Seneschal Xavin Taziyah, "Aye."
- Elwyn's hand moves to squeeze Mariena's shoulder gently before she drops her hand to her side. "You
- heard the Hand, she is fine," she states.
- "I told you all that this was wrong. He called you servants in his language. Our leaders. He holds
- his hammer at our bugs. I do NOT trust outsiders." Amila whips her hand out in front of her before
- sparing a look over to Mariena, quickly assesssing that she was still alive.
- "It is their way," Xavin says softly, peering at Amila. "Their culture is one we know very little
- about and I would imagine the way we live does seem quite barbaric to those that cloister themselves
- in cities."
- "There is much to learn from them before we simply cast them aside, Amila," Rhine states, her brow
- furrowed.
- You have emoted: "Amila, STOP." Solaria says in a clearly angered tone, "Just bloody stop!" She
- steps in close, pointing a staff at Amila's chest, "You assume too much and know too little. Just
- because they speak differently does not mean that we immediately act like savages. If we do that, we
- get nowhere and find out nothing. So, CALM DOWN."
- Sharply, Elwyn Taziyah says to Tracker Amila dur Naya, "Do not be so childish. Any and all knowledge
- gained can be useful."
- Flatly, Hand of the Praadi, Mariena Aquila says to Tracker Amila dur Naya, "And I don't trust our
- Gods. However, the spirits I do and our Guardians I do. . We need to see if the Seer has to say
- anything against them and then we'll see who is to be trusted."
- You have emoted: Solaria tries her best to calm herself, shaking her head as she takes a step back,
- "Aye..Mariena, get with the Seer."
- You say, "Vras should be willing to look into it as best as possible."
- Mariena nods her head at you.
- Amila bites at her bottom lip until dents have been left in her own flesh. "I held my tongue when he
- was here, Feral Will Solaria. I will not not say my opinion. Not a savage. Opinion. I feel wrong
- about this! It is not CHILDISH to feel something wrong."
- You have emoted: "I'm going to go take my rest to think on how to approach the Artist in the
- meantime.." Solaria continues with, reaching up to massage her head again, "Amila, you can feel
- wrong, but it is childish to act as you are about it. I don't necessarily feel right about all of it,
- but I keep myself composed and not let the newcomers see it."
- You say, "Showing that can be seen as a weakness..they can exploit such things out of you.
- "
- You say to Amila, "Weaknesses are meant to be shown to those you trust - not your possible enemies.
- "
- You say, "With that, I take my leave. I am in need of an intense mending therapy."
- "Do what you must, of course. Do that.. but do not call my opinion foul unless I say something that
- brings harm to Dendara!" Amila suddenly falls silent for a moment following your last words. "..so I
- may not show such weakness and opinion to you?"
- You say to Amila, "You can, but there is a point when you need to calm down and breath.
- "
- You say, "These others can explain it better.."
- You have emoted: Solaria waves her hand in the air in departure to the crowd, "I'll be at Father's
- shrine doing as much, if I am truly needed. I need to get this done before my head possibly pops."
- Frowning, Tracker Amila dur Naya says to you, "I kept quiet when you asked me to."
- "The foreigners would have to have been fools to not have seen it," Xavin says softly, rubbing a
- hand over his face. "And if they were looking to cause us harm, they very well could have exploited
- it."
- You nod your head at Amila.
- -moving to another room far away-
- (The Benandanti Consulate): You say, "..thank you, Xavin."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "We will talk on it later. When my head is not pounding.
- "
- Amila tells you, "Alright. I will listen.. but I will talk, too."
- You tell Tracker Amila dur Naya, "I expect nothing less."
