Unable to Delete Motorola Account

  1. Earlier today my new Motorola phone arrived. This is the first Motorola product I've ever owned, and I needed a special code to unlock the bootloader. To obtain this code I was required to first register on the Motorola website. After obtaining the code, unlocking the bootloader and installing the custom ROM of my choice, I no longer needed the Motorola account. Below is the transcript of my online support conversation, requesting the deletion of my Motorola account.

  3. Bev: Hi, my name is Bev. How may I help you?
  4. Phill: Hi Bev. I'd like to delete my Motorola account please
  5. Bev: Hi don't worry, since you do have me in the line let me help you with that because here in Motorola, We make things right!
  6. Bev: If I may ask why do you want to delete you Motorola account?
  7. Phill: I don't need it anymore
  8. Bev: If I may ask is it on the website?
  9. Phill: Is what on the website? My account? Yes, I registered an account on the website earlier today and now I would like to delete it.
  10. Bev: Okay ,One moment let me check.
  11. Bev: Thank you for waiting,Upon checking here on my end there is no option to remove the account.
  12. Phill: So you're saying there's no way to actually delete my Motorola account from your service completely?
  13. Bev: Yes that's correct.
  14. Phill: That's disappointing and poor service. Thanks for your time.

  17. Phill: Why would I want to check the privacy policy? Does it say I am unable to have my account deleted?
  18. Bev: That is just an option ,If you just want to check.
  19. Phill: Another option would be deleting my account as requested.
  20. Bev: I really apologized however there is no option to remove the account.
