Bi-monthly speedrun challenge

Based on a post on speedrun.com a couple of months ago, I thought I would set up a bi-monthly "Learn A Speedrun" challenge.

Each person who applies to the challenge will nominate a group of games that either they already run or would like to learn to speedrun. Then, every two weeks, small groups (5-7) of runners will learn a game together. This will help serve two purposes:

1) People will get to learn a variety of games that they wouldn't normally of thought to run, some that they might really enjoy.
2) As people will be able to work together while learning the games, they will be able to socialise and will cause several speedrunners of different game backgrounds to come together, talking to people they might not normally have talked to.

To open up the competition to as many people as possible, the games allowed to be submitted will be limited to emulator/downloadable pc games only. At the end of each two-week learning period, all the players learning the game will take part in a race, and the winners of each race for each game will be noted and recorded on a leaderboard.

Sign-Up will be continuous so that people can join as and when they can.
