  1. Hey, if you read other peoples messages, read them correctly and get your shit straight before you start attacking people. I wrote I played the 3DS demos and didn't like them because of how restricted it feels on a 3DS. Having to buy extra peripherals like a circle pad pro to play a game properly kinda makes it look like it's not the optimal platform for that game. Sure, it works without, but how much solo hunting have you done with the touchscreen camera controls on a 2DS? I also wrote I liked the PSP MonHun, but didn't have anyone to play it with and solo the hunts get really drawn out and boring, especially if you prefer using weapons like the dual swords and adds come into play.

  3. Then I wrote that, of course, Nintendo is gonna have the next MonHun Switch exclusive to have it as a system seller, which sure will work in Japan as MonHun is super popular over there (even though sales are heavily declining since they made the switch from Sony to Nintendo consoles), but here? There's not a single title selling more than one million copies in NA and Europe combined, which is really measily compared to Japans formerly 4-5, now around 2 million copies per game. But still, it's a single country and the other sales come from the rest of the world. (Source: VGChartz) Even Stardew Valley sold around 1.6 million times (Source: Steamspy) and that one doesn't have the support of huge established companies like Nintendo and Capcom.

  5. The Switch, so far, is at the same point the WiiU was during announcement, but, not exactly, since the WiiU at least promised third party support for new games (I specifically recall the new Batman game coming out that time and Bayonetta 2, although that turned second party) while the Switch trailer showed two games produced for last gen consoles, next to the usual Nintendo rehashes.

  7. Last but not least I'd like to touch on how developers might feel about the console. From lots and lots and LOTS of interviews I've consumed, devs really like to work with the latest hardware. And right now, they have to develop and optimize for PS4, XB1 and PC, more or less depending on exclusivity deals. Putting the Switch into the equation, you have another platform with basically two specs you have to optimize for, home station specs and handheld specs, and the reason lots of handhelds lie dead in the trenches in non-Japan countries previously is simply because of the lack of developers making games for it.

  9. The best example for devs going for the best hardware would actually be the WiiU, since it actually isn't that far behind XB1 sales, only by 9 million, while the XB1 is behind PS4 about 19.5 million (Source: n4g), but the WiiU's hardware is far behind those two. Sure, the Wii had shit hardware too, but that one at least had a gimmick and was rather cheap, which made it easy for everyone to hop in and play, since everyone (able to do so) understands how to move your hand.

  11. So yeah, here's in an embellished form of what I wrote Taro last night half asleep. I hope it brought my points across better than whatever you got before and maybe makes you accept critizing the platform choice of your favorite game series or looking critically at something hyped up (Remember No Mans Sky?) doesn't automatically make me hate it.
