Operation Blowout Ending

Upon the destruction of the Heavy, the suits team begins searching the south wing. In the South-East Corner of the room you find a body wearing a lab coat. Upon searching it you find a recording of:

"Сахаров? Добре я повертаюся до центральних штаб дати уявлення про наш прогрес. У той час як я піду, ви зможете отримати доступ до свого офіс в разі виникнення проблем. Код 9524. Як був прогрес з нашим дизайном броні? Я чув проблем з розвитком штучного інтелекту. Як броня була атакувати будь-якого, а не лише призначені мети. Це серйозний удар, і ми повинні мати загальні збори персоналу, коли я повернуся."

Celer is able to translate this to:

"Sakharov? Good I am going back to central headquarters to give a presentation on our progress. While I am gone you will be able to access my office in case of problems. The code is 9524. How has been the progress with our armor design? I have been hearing of problems with the artificial intelligence development. How the armor has been attacking anyone, not just the assigned targets. This is a serious setback and we will need to have a general staff meeting when I return."

Leaving the dead body and the slagged heavy, 6 members of the team head to the commander's office. The remainder start checking for any other intel and bringing up the strange mesh. In the commander's office the team finds the intel and a control panel for the radar jamming. Turning it off, the team recieves a radio message from DORF at command.

"Hey hey. Looks like you got rid of the jamming. If you also have the intel it's time to leg it out of there. The C-130 returning for pickup has detected a large Tumblr Armor force heading in your direction and...Huh?...Just a sec got some weird probe readings from the lab. Let me take a look but try to get out now."

As the team starts heading up a faint set of voices can be heard.

"Blowout soon fellow STALKERS." "When?" "NOW"

Immediately you feel a intense pain in your head. Your body fades from existence replaced by pain. Your mind fractures from tendrils working their way in. And as quickly as it appeared the pain stops. However you are still shaken by the experience. You hear DORF's voice on the radio.

"Hey...HEY...Get moving now. There is a shit storm brewing outside. All the Tumblrs turned red and have picked up speed towards the lab, you gotta get out now. Head to the roof."

Heading up the stairs and out to the roof the team collects Gentle Giant and Ghost Doctor from the first floor. Luckily they were inside and didn't get hit by the same affect as the Tumblrs. At the roof DORF radios in again.

"Alright everyone, before leaving I took the liberty of installing a Fulton Recovery System to your suits. As Ghost Doctor had his suit wrecked someone will need to carry him. Good Luck."

Those who could fly to the C-130, did; while the rest activated their FRS. Ghost Doctor got a ride in Shell with Private. After the team was hoisted on board DORF messaged in with congratulations.

"Good job everyone. I'll see you back at base. Drinks are on me this time."

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Back at base in the bar, DORF relays the preliminary findings on the intel.

"Well we learned that the lab was a joint setup between several ex-Soviet Bloc nations. Apparently Russian space tracking systems were able to catch something moving into the solar system under its own power. I'll give you 3 guesses as to who and the first 2 don't count."

"The bigwigs decided that they needed something to combat an alien attack, so they set up a design lab for human-designed AI and powered armor. That is what you fought down in the lab. Seems it always went berserk as soon as they gave the AI a face, but faceless AI could hardly do anything."

"Well that's all we know for now. Still waiting for the full translation. Now we wait, drink, and plot."
