BACKGROUND :
        ♥  nayoung never really knew south korea, despite being born there. bristol, england has always been the pure-blooded girl's home ever since her family moved there. of course, she was only 2 when they moved, so it's not like she would remember much of south korea. she may have not looked like the average british girl, but she felt like one, well, the average for a wizard. magic was just as natural to her as living in england was. nayoung was always so excited for hogwarts. her excitement then increased when her brother went. the two have always had a love-hate relationship like most siblings do. however, once he went to hogwarts, nayoung was constantly sending him letters. she was dying to know what it was like and if he liked it there. when he’d come home for school breaks she would ask him a million questions. she was especially interested in quidditch. she and her brother had talked countless times about playing and always argued about who would be the better player. so her brother definitely held it above her that he’d be able to play while she couldn’t since she’d be a first year. seeing that the two were only a year apart they were able to maintain a very close relationship and often pick on eachother. however, in hogwarts, it’d be ten times worse. no matter how many times he would tell her in his letters back, that he’s dreading her coming to hogwarts the next year or how he couldn’t wait to torture her. he was secretly glad she was coming the next year. she might be a little rough around the edges (and a major bitch) the two still had a bond that both of them would never admit they have. people always question how the two are even related seeing as she acts fairly different from his. she often hears that he acts more hufflepuff than her and he’s a gryffindor. which neither of them ever care to listen to what people have to say about them. she might not fit in the well as her brother does, but she’ll always have him there for her... even if he is leaving the next year

PERSONALITY :
        ♥ when it comes to nayoung, most people, including herself, are surprised she’s a hufflepuff. hufflepuffs are known for their fairness, patience, tolerance, and most importantly kindness; which nayoung tends to lack at times. her intentions aren’t to be mean, but she’s most certainly not the nicest girl at hogwarts. her being sorted into hufflepuff wasn’t a complete mix-up, though. nayoung is extremely dedicated and hardworking. she can be a bit hard-headed at times, but she won’t let that get in her way of getting something done. she can be a bit of a perfectionist, which is what probably causes her judgment the most. if there’s something she doesn’t like, don’t be surprised to hear about it from her. she's someone who will start getting snappy and will just want to storm off. she tries to be independent as possible so she doesn't have to deal with other people clashing with her. her sense of humor usually conflicts with other people, considering it's fairly sarcastic. so when someone gets offended it tends to piss her off since they're not seeing the way she wants them to. however, she's easily the biggest hypocrite at hogwarts. she does try to stop herself, sometimes, but at times she's just too passionate about her ungodly opinion (which no one cares to hear). she tries to play it off as good trait, by saying that she knows when to not sugarcoat things, but she's basically sugarcoating by saying that. she also hates being compared to people (but will compare others so??). to top it all off, she gets annoyed way too easily. she absolutely hates being annoyed, and just about anything will annoy her like finger tapping or the color of someone's socks. in addition, she can be fairly self-centered but hides it, at least she tries to. she puts on a bitch front, but actually constantly craves attention. she also tends to think if she can't have something no one can (and also, that she doesn't want people to have what she has). she just likes to be seen as special, although she doesn't really go about it right. a lot of the time she isn't trying to be mean she just has a weird way of expressing herself. nayoung really isn't all bad, considering she /was/ sorted into hufflepuff, right? under all her whiny bitching, she can be a pretty loyal friend. she'll stick up for those she cares about in a heartbeat. you might not normally see it, but nayoung has a ton of soft spots. you can occasionally catch her cooing at something or smiling bigger at the site of something cute (she also thinks a lot of things are cute). however, if you ever catch her like this be prepared to see the biggest blush, followed by some rage, but once she starts blushing it’s hard for her to stop.

        ♥ sweet nothing : honestly, she's just too cute. everything she does is just perfect in nayoung's eyes, and that never happens. they also happen to be in the same house. so when nayoung isn't running around hating, she's probably stuck to sweet nothing. sweet nothing is usually the one to try and calm nayoung down and she tries her hardest to help nayoung not be so judgemental (but she's really a lost cause and even sweet nothing knows it)

HOW THEY MEET : she’s heard her brother mention him plenty of times during the years of attending hogwarts and judging by what she’s heard, he’s not someone she really wants to be around. like herself, taeyong isn’t a picture-perfect representation of his house. he’s constantly crabby and pissed off, which rivals her own bitchiness. therefore, he’s someone she’s made a note in her head to avoid, knowing they’d heavily clash. however, when she has her first defense against the dark arts class of the year and she magically ends up with him as her seatmate, she already knows it’s going to be a rough time.

HIS FIRST IMPRESSION : he really didn’t pay attention to her much the first class. only giving her a nod or glace. it wasn’t that there was really anything wrong with her (at first that is), he just didn’t care. although, after he didn’t respond like she wanted he could clearly hear her annoyed huff and anytime he’d peeked at her expression she looked pissed. he can’t really blame her since he probably had the same look, but it definitely wasn’t going to make his life easier.

HER FIRST IMPRESSION : truthfully, just his facial expressions piss her off a little and she really wanted to punch together for laughing about how mad she looked the whole class. she thought maybe if she tried to be a little nice he would be such an ass, but that definitely didn’t work. at least he didn't talk to her much.

RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE :
        ♥  beginning : defense against the dark arts was probably nayoung’s favorite class, but once taeyong was brought into the equation, it became the class she dreaded. there were times where she found it hard to pay attention because grumpy pants was next to her. something about his presence made her feel funny and it drives her nuts that he’s ruining her best class. when it comes to nayoung not getting her way, she tends to not take it well, but she will do anything to make things go how she wants. so it’s rather shocking when she starts trying to be nice to him. however, it almost makes things worse. he can obviously tell when she’s not being genuine and doesn’t care to play along. when she finally does get him to talk, though, they’re usually bickering over the littlest things. some days it felt like he was being extra uncooperative just to piss her off like it was a game. in reality, though, he didn’t have a problem with her, it’s just how is. it’s also how nayoung is, but she cares too much to “let him have his way”.

        ♥  middle : over the course of being stuck next to each other in class, they start to take a weird liking to each other. like they just get used to being around the other. they still argue over shit all the time, but they realize they actually have a lot in common and relatively think the same. taeyong even learns to just give in during their mini arguments, knowing she’s far more stubborn. they still don’t hang out outside of class, but occasionally if one sees the other they might say something. taeyong even catches himself starting to look for her during the quidditch matches she plays. they may not be very close, but there’s definitely still some weird sexual tension. maybe a little subtle flirting, that they'll both claim never happened. there's an attraction that neither can describe and refuse to even try. to taeyong, nayoung is an annoying little shit, who can occasionally be cute. meanwhile, nayoung complains about him a lot and will even do it to his face, but she's glad to have someone else who can actually stand being around her (even if he says he can't).

        ♥  end : the main thing that changes between the two is how comfortable they are around each other. there aren’t too many physical changes that happen. they still bicker over dumb stuff and ignore each other like children. but they spend a bit more time together now and they’re also more open about their feelings. they probably won’t actually come out and say it, though. they have gotten a lot closer and do show affection. nayoung would just prefer to keep things how they are, an not know all around the school. she’s more embarrassed about her feelings than he is. despite his pissy attitude, he’s rather relaxed. he really wouldn’t care if other people knew about them (as long as they wouldn’t bother him about it). it’s not a complete secret, they’re still pretty casual about things in school. they still keep a good distance, they don’t like each other that much (that’s a fat lie). they have their own friends and things they like to do, they just like spending time together occasionally.. and flirting

                           ♥ nayoung would probably take her chances with the hairpin, considering no matter how hard she looked at it, she would never make sense of the envelope. it’s usually hit or miss when it comes to nayoung in a stressful situation, though. she either strives or gets super irritated, however, with puzzles it’s usually the latter.


        2. how does your character cook rice, on the stove in a pot or with a rice cooker, or do they make someone else entirely cook their rice for them?
                           ♥ truthfully, she’d probably rather have someone else cook it for her. if that’s not an option though she’ll use a pot, considering she’s never even seen a rice cooker before.


        3. when your character needs to escape and be alone, where do they go and/or what do they do?
                           ♥  it’s fairly often that nayoung feels like she needs to be alone, and when the time comes she usually jogs/runs around the castle grounds. she goes wherever her feet take her. and if she can’t go outside then she most likely takes a stroll through the halls


        4. does your character understand how technology works? if not, how did they react when they first came in contact with technology?
                           ♥  she has the smallest understanding of technology, but truthfully, it’s rather hard for her head to wrap around and she tries to pretend she gets it, but she can’t ever hide her frustration with it
