  31.
  32. Appearance:
  33. Morag is a very tall, intimidating looking mare, built more like an earth pony than a pegasus. Her coat is a dark brown, while her mane is fiery red and shaggy like a lion's mane. Her eyes are light blue. Her spear is long and wooden, with the point being made of bone and the end having black crow feathers attached to it as an adornment. Her shawl is decorated with the same, and the medallion she wears is etched with the symbol of a crow. She often wears black war paint on her face, along with a helmet fashioned from the skull of an enormous bird of some sort. It covers the top half of her face, with the eye sockets acting as a rudimentary visor.
  34.
  35. Backstory:
  36. Morag is part of an elusive group of ponies from a land northwest of Equestria. Much of her land is untamed by civilization, and ponies live in nature worshipping tribes or clans. Each clan worships a different spirit animal, and their lifestyle pays homage to said animal. Morag was part of the Cuernag, or Crow Clan. This tribe highly value intellect and cunning over brute strength, so Morag always felt like an outsider even among her kin. Feeling she did not belong with the Cuernag, she wandered the land for a while trying to make peace with other groups such as the Iomair (Bear Clan) or Iolagil (Eagle Clan), but to no avail. Her wandering led her far to the south-east, eventually making it to Equestria, where she hopes to find a place of belonging.
  37.
  38. Personality and Traits:
  39. Morag is ill-adjusted to life in Equestria. She is loud, outspoken and confident, retaining much of the primitive ways of her homeland. Not only do they have an entirely different naming scheme to Equestrians, Morag is barely literate, prefers to sleep outside, seldom bathes and has even grown accustomed to the taste of meat. She is very blunt, and knows little of proper Equestrian social nuances. Nevertheless, she is extremely loyal to her friends, supporting them no matter what. She has trouble speaking Equish at times, having taught herself to speak it on her travels. Despite her outward bravery, she is afraid of failure, wanting to prove to herself that she is as strong as she claims to be. Her clan had a bitter rivalry with the neighboring Brochan (Badger Clan), who consisted entirely of Diamond Dogs. As such, she has an inherent distrust of the race, although she knows she shouldn't.
