  1.
  2.
  3. The sound of the alarm clock drowned out the peaceful silence in the spacious bedroom. A hand reached out from the bed next to the dresser where the clock was placed; it fumbled around trying to his the alarm off switch. While doing so the alarm got louder, causing a groan to emanate from under the comfy sheets.
  4.
  5. The hand kept pressing all the buttons it could to make the sound stop, but after a few more seconds the open palm became a fist. Said fist then came down on the alarm clock with so much strength it shattered into a thousand pieces.
  6.
  7. "Ugh, not again" a voice mumbled as the figure started to stirr from it's slumber.
  8.
  9. The once sleeping girl sat upright on her bed, she placed her feet on her fuzzy slippers shaped like chibi hellhounds. She rubbed her eyes and wiped away some drool with her t-shirt, followed by opening the top drawer of her dresser and pulling out another alarm clock. She put it where the old one was and let out a yawn that could wake the dead. And in this neighborhood, that can actually happen.
  10. She stood up, and groggily put on her bathrobe that was hanging nearby. She forced herself to her bathroom, scratching her butt cheek as she walked; because as everyone knows the wake-up scratch is always the best. However, she was not paying attention to where she walked and stepped on a piece of broken clock.
  11.
  12. "Gah, motherfu-" She mumbled as she kicked the shard of plastic away. She was just relieved it wasn't a Lego brick.
  13.
  14. In the bathroom she drew herself a warm bath...at least she tried to if someone hadn't already used up all the hot water. She gritted her teeth but did not get mad, who needs a warm soaking when an icy cold shower is just as good? After her relaxed dose of hypothermia, she wrapped herself in a towel and marched herself to the sink. She stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, she may only be a teenager but sometimes it feels like she's lived several lifetimes already. She opened the cabinet behind her mirror to get her toothbrush and toothpaste, only to find her cherry flavored toothpaste was missing. In it's place was a post it note:
  15.
  16. "Ran out of mine, took yours. Sorry..." It wasn't signed but she knew who it was from, who else could be an inconsiderate asshat and also have access to her bathroom?
  17.
  18. She gripped the edges of her sink so hard the marble started to crack. After a moment of frustration she let it go, and used that awful tasting mint one. As she began to brush her teeth, something else caught her attention; it was a post it note on the floor. She figured it fell out when she opened the cabinet.
  19.
  20. "P.S. I used your toothbrush to polish my horns, hope you don't mind Tams"
  21.
  22. She looked at her toothbrush, and then at the note and then at her reflection. After a few seconds, the realization set in and she spat out all the toothpaste. She turned on the faucet and began sucking on the tap water, anything to get her mouth clean. She took some deep breaths to regain her composure, but that didn't stop the mirror from shattering as the room around her reacted to the energy her body was giving out.
  23.
  24. "Calm down Tammy, calm down. Mom said if I decapitate him again, I'm grounded for 2 weeks" She told herself. "
  25.
  26. Tammy looked at herself in the broken mirror, is what this moment she knew this was going to be one of those days. She closed her eyes and meditated, this in turn caused the mirror to unshatter itself as if someone hit rewind. One of the perks of being the first born Knight of Hell in over a millennia; it may be difficult now to do but once she achieves her full potential time manipulation will be nothing more than a cheap parlor trick, compared to what else she can do. She tossed her toothbrush into a trashcan and exited her bathroom; she had every intention to not let her freak brother ruin her day. After getting dressed, Tammy walked down the hallway out of her bedroom, along the way she passed all the portraits of various family members hanging on the wall. She stopped at the one of her brother and punched a hole right through his smug painted face. She repeated her mantra, something one of her teachers told her to do in times of stress:
  27.
  28. "Fuck you Tom"
  29.
  30.
  31. End of part 1?
