[4/9/2014 6:49:11 PM] TheWanderingZebra: We last left our heroes after they had returned from eliminating the "slavers" that had threated the Jangwa tribe, barely though after they were assaulted upon by boars. Now that they've returned to recover for the night, what will our heroes plan to do next once they've gained the knowledge they need? And more importantly, will they remember to get food and water for themselves? Let's find out.

  4. [4/9/2014 6:53:20 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Everyone woke up in their respective sleeping spots ... all except for Cherry as she felt herself on the jungle ground outside the tribal settlement her group were sleeping at. Sprocket was currently hoovering above the zebrasus.

  6. Outside if anyone were to wake up inside the settlement could they see zebras beginning to reinforce their village, possibly to prevent themselves from getting attacked more easily.

  11. [4/9/2014 6:56:39 PM] Dusk: Dirge is yawning as he makes his way out the hut. A bit of a long night of sleep, but he wasn't complaining. "Hmmm...I wonder if there's a fireplace...or a stove, or something?" He is already looking forward to cooking up a metric ass-ton of meat...boar meat. Mmmm...

  13. [4/9/2014 6:56:51 PM] The Custodian: Valiant will wake up and look around, making er way out of the tent and looking around before settling down in a corner and fishing out some.... Gruel? Pudding? /VOMIT?/ Either way it looks disgusting but the alicorn gobbles it up anyway, not seeming to mind.... In fact she seems to enjoy it... Gross

  15. [4/9/2014 6:58:32 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli stretches, getting himself out of the corner he used for a sleeping place. He takes a moment to make sure nothing requires his attention before getting out some dirty water and an old can of vegetables. He gets to work on both quickly.
  16. [4/9/2014 6:59:06 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: Amber was currently doing a maintanence check on her repeater rifle, having cleaned out most of the parts whilst idly eating a snack cake she had packed along with her own supplies.
  17. [4/9/2014 7:00:14 PM] Dusk: Dirge, in the meantime, is drinking from his canteen, slaking his thirst. He's got meat he can eat, but...hot food is best with an empty stomach.
  18. [4/9/2014 7:01:56 PM] Punished Snake: Darlin' is jogging around a small perimiter, as Aark watches, smoking a cigarette.

  21. [4/9/2014 7:04:16 PM] Schorcht: Cherry swings her hoof at Sprocket. "Five more minutes mom!" She uses her other hoof to cover her face from the morning sun.
  22. [4/9/2014 7:04:32 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Dirge could spot a zebra stallion waving to him as he was currently at a cooking pit (or whatever it's called). "Mr. Griffin sir. You can use this if you wish after the help you've given to our people!"
  23. [4/9/2014 7:05:40 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Amber can see the one eyed zebra mare Jengo approaching her from behind, who gives a smile to her. "I have to thank you for everything you've done for us. Especially with how you helped me heal my injuried tribe mates."
  24. [4/9/2014 7:05:41 PM] The Custodian: The alicorn slurps up the rest of her... Meal, and looks to the closest local "Do you have water?" she asks
  25. [4/9/2014 7:06:34 PM] Dusk: Dirge manages a smile across his beak, flapping his wings over to the pit. "Well, thank you. Glad that some equines are nice to my kind." He starts to unpack all the meat, twelve portions in all. "Hmmm...think you can lend a...hoof?" He was about to say claw, but...yeah, anatomy and junk.
  26. [4/9/2014 7:09:07 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: Amber smiles as she gulps down the last of the snack cake. "Well that's what I do, i'm glad to see my efforts are appreciated." she places the now checked repeater rifle over her shoulder. "I trust they're doing well?"
  27. [4/9/2014 7:09:08 PM] TheWanderingZebra: A zebra comes to answer Valiant, actually giving her a bottle of water to her. "Here, for the help you've done for our people." She said.
  28. [4/9/2014 7:09:49 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli finishes the small meal, then pulls his hood up out of habit and walks out of the hut, looking around.
  29. [4/9/2014 7:10:01 PM] The Custodian: The alicorn magics it over "Thank you... Are the others awake yet?"
  30. [4/9/2014 7:11:32 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The zebra cook nods to Dirge. "Indeed I can. What is it you need for help?"

  32. The zebra mare replies to Valiant. "The older one and the filly are awake now. It seems he is giving training to the young one." She said with an unsure look on her face.

  34. Jengo nods to Amber. "Indeed they are ... but ..." Jengo pauses.
  35. [4/9/2014 7:12:24 PM] The Custodian: The 'prince' nods "Very well, where is your elder then?"
  36. [4/9/2014 7:13:41 PM] Dusk: Dirge starts to pass off a couple slabs into the pit, pulling out a pair of his trust tongs from his little barbeque kit. "Just make sure that none of them get burnt. Lots of meat for one sitting. Also...if you got spices, I'll be happy if you let me use them. I'll pay, of course."

  43. [4/9/2014 7:16:08 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Jengo sighs. "But I lack proper training to be a good medicine zebra, and I doubt that you will be staying long enough to teach me."
  44. [4/9/2014 7:16:15 PM] The Custodian: "While killing the slavers was an honorable thing, we also did it in exchange for information. Whenever he is ready we need to talk"
  45. [4/9/2014 7:17:43 PM] Dusk: Dirge grins as he starts to cook up some of the meat, making sure that two of the slabs are to be cooked a very rare, and almost cold meat. Just like somepony wanted... "So...how do you want YOURS cooked?"
  46. [4/9/2014 7:18:39 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Sprocket keeps beaping to Cherry repeatidly, hoovering up and down in an attempt to wake her up.

"It's true we may be leaving soon to continue our original pursuits, but I suppose at the very least I could help try to give you some vital medical knowledge with the time I have now." she says looking at Jengo. "You'll have to be a bit paitient with me though, i've never really taught anypony or zebra before."
  48. [4/9/2014 7:20:09 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli takes advantage of the morning and goes for a walk. Just around the village. After getting tackled by a tusked pig, he wasn't too keen on going back into the jungle for no reason.

  50. [4/9/2014 7:21:38 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Kivuli could see Darlin running laps around the village as he begun to walk.

  52. The zebra cook replied to Dirge. "I enjoy it rather dark. And here, some spices." He said as he hoofed him some jars of spices.
  53. [4/9/2014 7:22:20 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli raises an eyebrow at this. Definitely wasn't what he expected to see. "Good morning?"
  54. [4/9/2014 7:22:49 PM] Dusk: Dirge blinks as he opens up the jar, taking a sniff...holy shit, this was some strong stuff! "Huh...thanks." He starts to rub down the meat with a bit of the spices. From the looks of it, the griffon has done this hundreds of times.
  55. [4/9/2014 7:23:01 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Jengo smiled at Amber. "That would be greatful, though, I am not sure if me as the only medicine zebra would be helpful to my people." She then pauses, and then blinked as if she realized something.
  56. [4/9/2014 7:23:02 PM] Punished Snake: "M- Morning.." She says, keeping her breath, and pace. Aark watches from a distance. "No slowin' down!"
  57. [4/9/2014 7:23:24 PM] Schorcht: Cherry finally sits up and yells at Sprocket. "WHAT?!"

[4/9/2014 7:25:32 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry could notice a horrible truth: SHE WASN'T WEARING ANY PANTS! ... and her outfit and armor were off and were oddly enough laying near her on the jungle ground. She also could see that she was far away from where she originally was sleeping ... and could see an unfamiliar bag on her armor and clothes as well.

  65. [4/9/2014 7:27:40 PM] The Custodian: The alicorn nods and decides to start walking about, looking over the village like she was its ruler or something... At least thats the air she gave off... Until it was broken by the occasional mumble to herself

Perhaps if you ever came across the Mwamba on your journey you could ask them if one of them could come here and help me learn more about healing." Jengo said to Amber.
  67. [4/9/2014 7:28:49 PM] Schorcht: Cherry blinks. "...what..." She rubs her eyes. "I was sleeping with Valiant last night... how did I get here?..." She gets up with a small stretch and checks out the odd bag.
  68. [4/9/2014 7:29:00 PM] Fordregha: "Hmm." Kivuli keeps trotting along beside her. "I suppose it's a good way to get curves, but you look like you're about to drop."
  69. [4/9/2014 7:33:10 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Marjani could be seen trotting towards to Aark, appearing to give him a neutral look. "Well, I see that you're preparing your foal after what had happened last time I assume?"
  70. [4/9/2014 7:33:40 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: "The Mwamba, i'll be sure to remember that then." she says with a small smile. 'I wonder if they're knowledgable of alchemy.' she wondered to herself before shaking her head. "Well, how about we get started then?"

  72. [4/9/2014 7:36:18 PM] Punished Snake: "No." Aark says. "This is our normal mornin' routine." Aark says to Marjani.

  74. Darlin' stops at a mark, for a quick breather.
  75. [4/9/2014 7:36:39 PM] Dusk: Dirge hums an odd little tune as he cooks up all the meat. It took a little while, but...at least it was better than having to use a shoddy little campfire. "Annnd...there." He starts to whistle to the others, while passing two slabs of the well-done meat to his little assistant. "For your troubles. You, uhh...don't mind if I keep this spice, as a part of the trade?"

  77. [4/9/2014 7:40:28 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Cherry opens the odd bag appears to have about 400 teeth inside it, with a message saying "New best friend." written on rugged paper.
  78. [4/9/2014 7:41:23 PM] Punished Snake: Darlin quickly starts on sit-ups. Which she can barely manage. "Twenty, Darlin'.. TWENTY.."
  79. [4/9/2014 7:41:49 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Marjani stays silent for awhile, and then finally speaks to Aark. "You were all lucky that we only had to deal with boars out in the wild."
  80. [4/9/2014 7:42:50 PM] Schorcht: Cherry scrunches her face. This seemed... vaguely familiar... but she couldn't put her wing on it. She shrugs. "Oh well! They said they use teeth for monies right?" With a smile she gathers her things and makes sure her makeshift cap flows freely. "I wonder if the group misses me... shall we go see Sprocket? Spy on them~ Watch them like bugs!" She cackles.
  81. [4/9/2014 7:43:04 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli blinks, wondering how she manages to do this every morning assuming he's within hearing distance of Aark and Marjani and listened in on the bit about this being routine.
  82. [4/9/2014 7:45:13 PM] Punished Snake: "..." Aark just bellows smoke from his tobacco. "Yep."
  83. [4/9/2014 7:49:29 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "... How long exactly will you're equipment last?" Marjani said to Aark. "If I'm correct, you came to this land without any of the currency we use. Am I correct?"
  84. [4/9/2014 7:50:33 PM] Dusk: "..." Dirge frowns as he sees one of the slabs of wild pork go up in flames, prompting him to toss it into the flames. "A waste of good meat..." He then checks the other two that Aark wanted. He wasn't going to say no to his request, but...damn, these were nearly RAW! Whatever...he packs up the rest of the meat, offering two good slabs to the assistant chef. "Thanks for letting me cook this..." He then starts to fly off, heading to Aark to offer him the VERY rare meat.

  86. [4/9/2014 7:52:20 PM] Dusk: Dirge then takes one of the still steaming slabs of meat, tearing off a chunk whilst waiting for Aark to...converse...with Marjani.
  87. [4/9/2014 7:53:09 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "... I happen to know somezebra whom you could do enough jobs for to be more prepared for the wilderness out if you were interested." Marjani said.
  88. [4/9/2014 7:53:33 PM] The Custodian: Valliant will remain apart from the group, still mumbling to herself as she sees them all start to gather...

  92. As Darlin is on her back, exausted after only eight.
  93. [4/9/2014 7:55:01 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli is pretty much just there in case Darlin passes out. "Maybe you should take it easy for the rest of the day."
  94. [4/9/2014 7:55:25 PM] Schorcht: Cherry makes her way to the outskirts of the town and tries to spot her group members from a distance. She giggles as she does so.
  95. [4/9/2014 7:56:43 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Marjani appears to actually be blushing as he spoke, looking down on the ground. "There was a mare called Tongoza who came to our tribe for trading. She works with the Ivory Spear Caravan. I've heard that she's been wanting to hire zebras."

  112. [4/9/2014 8:13:23 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli looks to Cherry. "Hello. Glad to see you slept well, judging from your attitude." He turns back to Darlin and sets the can in front of her. "Go ahead. I've got plenty."
  113. [4/9/2014 8:14:29 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "The Ivory Spear Caravan happens to be known for hiring bounty hunters for any who get away at stealing their wares. So a warning to you if you actually plan something like that." Marjani said.

  123. Arround the village could our heroes hear most of the zebra tribals gathering around to a larger camp fire.

  125. Jengo as she was being taught by Amber raised an ear as she heard her fellow tribemates gathering around. "Ah, Sheha must be preparing to get the tribes spirits up. Do you mind if we resume later?"

  127. [4/9/2014 8:41:27 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Jengo nod. "Spirit, our morale." She said. "Sheha is the zebra who tells the stories of the Hunter."
  128. [4/9/2014 8:41:42 PM] The Custodian: Valiant glares at Dirge and a moment later a sword is unsheathed and pointed right at the griffon "Wat did you just call me?" she hisses angrily "I am a prince of equestria and i will not tolerate such language..."

"But you went charging in like a full blown retard, last night. That right there qualifies you as an idiot." He clenches his talon, just in this whack-job wants to tussle. "Now...if you want to prove me otherwise...I'll give you an apology, but not a moment before."

Out of the group i am the largest threat, and attract the most attention. And once we knew how poorly equipped they were i knew i could have handled their attacks easily. The logic behind my actions last night was sound and if not for that trap would have been fine. Unless you prefer that somepony else be shot at I suggest you /let/ me charge in and draw their attention." she explains, the sword still floating there and pointed at the griffon

He still had a lot to say to this alicorn, but...now was not the time to agitate her...him...whatever. "Just be careful for damned traps, and make sure the rest of the group agrees with it, AHEAD of time."

"In our land many suns ago was there a hunter who's job it was to protect his tribe from the beasts whom threated his tribe." The flames then depict the "Hunter" fending off against what appeared to be a giant cat like creature.

"However, no matter how mighty his spear was, he could do nothing against hunger, thirst, and sickness that would eventually come to his people."

"The robed mare had asked the Hunter if he could offer her shelter for the night, and the Hunter, mesmerized by her beauty, led her to his tribe."

The scene then changed to the robed mare attempting to treat one of the sick tribals with ... light? "The robed mare as it turned out was a gifted Shamaness, negociating with whatever spirit she could find to assist the zebra she was helping."

"Later the night after the Shamaness and helped those in aid did she tell the tribe her quest to find the Ebony Kingdom! A land where spirits live in harmony. A land that if a mortal is to find could they have a wish come true."

"The Hunter would come to her elder later that night, and confessed to her that he would seek to aid the Shamaness on her journey to the Ebony Kingdom." The scene then turned with the elder appearing to nod.

"The Hunter had made his vow to the Shamaness to protect her from all harm for her journey. And for a week did the Hunter protect the Shamaness, believing he was doing a good job."

"However, the Shamaness had begun to believe that the Hunter had become too protective of her. Worrying about everything, from what food she should eat, to never giving her pace, and being ignorant of her feelings."

"The Hunter had realized the truth from what the Shamaness told to her. Feeling that he had done her only harm, did the Hunter begin to leave back to his tribe, feeling shame for what he had done."

He could return to his tribe, but he would always have the shame of bringing harm onto the Shamaness." The scene changed again, with the Hunter appearing not to pay attention to a rope trap coming closer to him.

"The Hunter however did not notice the trap in front of him." The scene once again changed, with the Hunter still hanging as three dog like creatures appeared to circle him, grinning him. "Hyenas! They had prepared trap to feast on whom had become trapped. The Hunter then thought to himself deserving this fate, believing that it was the only fate he was destined to after what he had done."

"A loud booming voice then came from what the hyenas thought to be a grand spirit, threatening them with curses should they consume the Hunter."

She knew that the Hunter had only wanted to assist her, and even if he had done it the wrong way, that there could always be a chance for him to correct himself."
  203. [4/9/2014 10:11:27 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The scene then changed again, with the Hunter bowing down to the Shamaness. "And the Hunter agreed to her. He would do better at protecting her in a way that she agreed with, becoming more mindful of her feelings."

And this, my friends, was only the beginning of their tale." The flames then fade out, with the crowd of zebras clapping at Sheha for entertaining them.

"The Ebony Kingdom you seek was an old world project of steel meant to protect those in case they could be slaughtered by the old world's armies of your nation. Rumours of treasures from the world before have come and gone between many travelers and wanderers in this land. But, as far as I know, none have ever found it."

Gossip about such things as your looking for can often be heard there." He then pointed to another part of the map. "Though, you could always ask the Mwamba tribe, as they were originally part of this Ebony Kingdom as I've heard."

He turns his attention to Cherry. "Well...we should head for the settlement, first. We can find out where the tribe is, from there."
