[13:11] * Mackenzie releases her from his charmgaze, and returns to addressing the party. "And our guest of honor should be arriving any time now, soooo~" He sliiiides on over to the table and pulls the cover off, revealing six different courses, each separated with an enormous Kingler leg set up like an arch. Further down, there are 3 different punches and any snack you could imagine. And down
[13:11] * Mackenzie by the end, there are pokmemon treats of all sorts, the bowls decorated all around and between with various berries, separated by flavor. They're cheaper berries with menial effects, made more for snacks than anything.
[13:13] <Mackenzie> "Let the party commence!"
[13:14] <~Aori_Radidjiu> About half an hour after thing start, a nurse wheels Lani in on a wheelchair, with Lani smirkin'.  "So ye weren't just takin' me to the docks to tease me, eh?"
[13:15] * Lesieli pauses for a few moments, calmed a bit by his gaze, but shakes it off "But, how do we handle it together when she just `"  And back to Mel "Is this just a game to you or something?  These are forces that can affect the entire region, and you just toss it aside like an unwanted toy?"
[13:16] <Lesieli> "I just . . . what do you . . . what?"
[13:16] <Knox> "Lesieli."
[13:16] * Knox finally speaks up.
[13:16] <~Aori_Radidjiu> ...he manages to show up AFTER this conversation, though, so carry on
[13:17] <Melons> "...you're stronger than I am..."
[13:18] <Knox> "Did you not consider that maybe she fully realizes just how important the godhood of this region is? And that she just might not be confident enough in herself to carry out her duties? And that perhaps she'd like someone who she knows can handle it take her place?"
[13:19] <Knox> "Godhood is a considerable responsibility, and it involves a hell of a lot of commitment and sacrifice. If you're angry at her for wanting a better candidate to take her place when she thinks she can't handle it, you're not only a threat to your own pantheon, but a bad friend."
[13:20] <Lesieli> ". . ."
[13:20] <Melons> Teethgrinding, hey he's the one that said it. "...I still want to help...a-and be your friend..."
[13:21] * Mayuri is clearly interested in this conversation as well... though it doesn't look like she's ready to jump in just yet.
[13:22] <Knox> "She's still willing to stand by your side through all of this, Lesieli. She might not have met your expectations, but she's still your friend. And friends? They're fucking precious. Don't throw that away."
[13:22] * Knox walks off.
[13:24] <Lesieli> "I just . . . she started out with less than me, and was doing so well.  It was inspiring, and helped me find my way.  And I just . . . "  She's really tearing up now
[13:24] <Lesieli>   "I'm sorry, I - I think I need a minute"
[13:24] * Lesieli runs off to her room, for the time being
