  1. Name: Observer (Sarogath)
  2. Gender: Male
  3. Race: Voidling (Unicorn/Changeling)
  4. Class: Spellwright
  5.
  6. Talent: Thank you for your contribution: Observer may cast a unique spell called "Knowledge Extraction." Knowledge Extraction may only be cast on helpless targets and only once per target if successful, it forcefully and painfully (Fluff: It deals no damage) extracts information from the target's mind and provides information that Observer does not already know. The information can range from anything to how to cast a spell or use a skill, how to operate a unique machine, information on a specific NPC or even down to the most basic funfact. The higher the successful roll is, the better the information. Critical Hits will extract extremely useful information.
  7.
  8. Hit/Wounds: 5/5 (7/6 for HQ)
  9. Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  10.
  11. Skills:
  12. (Free Racial) Unicorn Catalyst: passive; a unicorn’s horn counts as a catalyst for spellcasting.
  13. Unicorn Telekinesis: spell; manipulate objects through sheer force of will. Complex tasks and heavier objects may require more focus.
  14.
  15. (Racial) Shapeshifting: recharge 3; A Changeling can imitate almost anything the same size as itself. This acts as disguise, but can copy any specific person/object on success, with higher success rolls giving better quality to the shapeshift. The disguise is removed when knocked helpless, rolling a critical failure when attacking, or when dispelled by magic. Purchasing the disguise skill causes this ability to autocrit , but you cannot benefit from it otherwise. Changelings can tell each other apart via pheromones and can automatically see through any disguise you use.
  16.
  17. (Free Multiclass) Spell Emulator: passive. The smith gains access to 2 points worth of Spells, taken from any class or mix of classes. These spells can be used normally, but obey all their usual restrictions.
  18.
  19. (Emulator Spell) Homing Magic: Spell, Recharge 2 after effect ends; On success, summons a magical projectile, plus an additional one for every point you pass the roll by, to a maximum of 5 on a critical. The projectiles follow you around, and any number of them can be launched as an Instant action, rolling separately for each. Elementalist effects can be applied to these projectiles.
  20.
  21. (Emulator Spell) Spellbreaker: recharge 2, spell, ranged; nullify a spell or magic effect
  22.
  23. (Class) Engineering: Can attempt to figure out any mechanical or manmade mechanism, device, construct or other creation. Once successfully and sufficiently studied and figured out, the Smith can then utilize it as he wishes, such as opening specific types of locks with a mere nudge in the right part, or operating a specific machine with no further need for instruction or guidance.
  24.
  25. (Class) Analyze [Mutated Appraise]: instant; Determine the number of remaining hits and wounds on an enemy, and possibly weaknesses. More powerful enemies may be harder to Appraise. Out of combat, quickly determine value of objects, study mechanisms and documents, size up other ponies, etc.
  26.
  27. Mutation: Regardless of roll result, Analyze returns enemy Name, Health, DC to hit and 1 Weakness. Successful rolls reveal additional Weaknesses, Resistances, Immunities and background info. When used on objects, Analyze returns all that object's info unless some force resists it, in which case, it returns the info on the resisting force, such as DC to break and origin.
  28.
  29. Inventory: One empty vials. One vial of strange unknown honey. Satchel. Pen and paper. 4 1/2 fish worth in pet crow rations. Small set of tools (used in engineering rolls). Soul Engineering Documents. 5 Scrap. Small pouch of seeds (Contains memory tree fruit seeds).
  30.
  31. Traits: Cobalt coat and Black mane/tail colors. Purple colored iris that seems to have an ever-shifting flow within them. He tends to keep a stoic look on his face, not much emotion behind his voice. His true form is a hovering black figure with no back legs, a unicorn horn but a singular purple eye. Staring into the eye itself feels almost as if you're staring into a purple void. There are no true features or hair in this form, yet his body stays the same shape and is still just as physical as his own unicorn form.
  32.
  33. History: More knowledge required to unlock this information.
  34.
  35.
  36. Holy Quest Bonuses
  37. ----------------------
  38.
  39. Phantasmagoria of Infallibility: Use whenever you critfail as a free action; Both rolls are DC 4; On success, the critfail's negative effects are negated but the roll still fails. You then "store" that critfail for later use. As an Instant action, you can use that stored critfail on an enemy. This critfail will not affect their rolls for that turn, but it will cause 1 critfail's worth of damage and negative effects to occur to them. You can store up to 3 critfails.
  40.
  41. I Dream of Alchemy: Instant; Thrice per session; Forge a small- to medium-sized object out of a natural elemental source, such as water or earth. If this object is a weapon, it carries the elemental properties* of the material it was made from and is +1 quality on a critical forging roll. Objects made with this skill disappear after a few hours. If this skill is used to make Bits or fake documents, they are obviously counterfeit upon close inspection. Keys made with this skill work just as well as their real counterparts, but break after being used. Forging an object requires access to an amount of source material equivalent in size to the desired object.
  42.
  43. A Vision of Thralls: Twice per combat; Instant; Summon either 1 monster from the “Medium” tier, or 2 from the “Small” tier of the Compendium of Monsters. If “I Dream of Monsters” has already been chosen, this skill’s rolls get +1. Grants one Pet Mastery point. All summoning weakens the Firmament.
  44.
  45. Purgative Dose: Automatic Instant; Recharge 3; Your other action this turn will autocrit a target which is afflicted with a status condition, at the cost of removing that status condition.
  46.
  47. Bonus Skills
  48. ----------------
  49.
  50. +2 hit / +1 wound
  51.
  52. Survival: spot check rolls +3; create and forage for basic supplies like rope, bandages, tents, torches and low-quality meals
  53.
  54. Fourth Eye: spell; can see beyond walls, barriers, illusions, lies and the fourth wall. Can make one roll to tap into meta information and listen in on out of character discussion.
  55.
  56. Engineering +2 (3 BP)
  57.
  58. Analyze [Appraise] +1 (1 BP)
  59.
  60. Knowledge Extract +1 (1 BP)
  61.
  62. Homing Magic +1 (1 BP)
  63.
  64. Spellbreaker +1 (1 BP)
  65.
  66. HQ Minions
  67. --------------
  68.
  69. Ancient Stone Golem
  70.
  71. -A stone golem modeled in the shape of a stallion's head, with a hollow inside, containing a somewhat-uncomfortable stone chair and a broad, unmarked rectangular surface positioned before the chair. Originally, it was a weapon designed and built by Sir Towers of the Sons of God well over 2,000 years ago, for the purpose of hunting demons, monsters, and other undesirable beings. With no physical controls to operate, the golem is controlled by the user's will. The golem's internal magic models its appearance after the user's head.
  72.
  73. -As a weapon powered by the user's will, it is not a stretch to imagine that as the user grows, so too will the golem.
  74.
  75. FUNCTIONS:
  76.
  77. -Functions marked with the "Touch" tag require the user to be physically touching the golem in some way, whether sitting in the chair, or touching the hull. Functions which do NOT have the "Touch" tag can be used while the user is within 10 meters of the golem, via mental link.
  78.
  79. Current Functions:
  80.
  81. -Flight: Touch; Passive; Using the rune carved into the golem's underside, fly with the power of an average pegasus.
  82.
  83. Current H/W: 5/5
  84.
  85. -H/W Fluff: The golem generates a weak forcefield around its outer hull which protects it from minor oncoming damage (Hits). Once disrupted, the field is not easily regained, and the golem will be susceptible to structural damage (Wounds) until it regenerates.
