- Mikko Rantanen Yeah that's quite simple "super saw" lead made with z3ta+ vst. Saw(s) -> hipass filter -> quadphaser -> eq compressor, etc..

- Chip Dyzphazia Psylokk Raynor And there you have it smile emoticon
- For those who don't know, a supersaw is layered sawtooth oscillators, detuned against each other. So OSC with a detune of +5cents, OSC with a detune of -5cents, etc, etc.... The more layers, the thicker/richer the sound.
- Doesn't necessarily have to be the numbers i've quoted either - whatever sounds good smile emoticon
- Supersaw was originally from the Rowland JP8000, in the 90s. Hence all the supersaw trance in the late 90s haha smile emoticon The JP8000 was also the synth of choice for Lab4 productions.

- Chip Dyzphazia Psylokk Raynor The other thing you've gotta remember with 'FiNRG Style Saw Leads', is that it's usually a very simple sawtooth base, with a TONNE of effects layered over it. Most of the texture comes from the effects. Also, Hi-Pass filtering is something you'll need to master to get the texture right smile emoticon It's tricky in my experience, quite fiddly, but that's just me.

- Chip Dyzphazia Psylokk Raynor Just remember, 90% of Freeform Leads are multiple saws with detune as a base, its the effects and filtering that really bring it to life.

- Chip Dyzphazia Psylokk Raynor Matt Deegan did a small example a while back of with effects and without, the difference is astonishing smile emoticon

- dry first then wet, added effects were a bandpass filter > reverb > delay > distortion > compression (only for sidechainingm can't hear it in this example) > eq
