My Littlest Echo - Part 4

Telio : Beep, beep, beep. Wake up, wake up! Beep, beep, beep. Wake up!

Damian woke up to the sound of Telio's weird voice. What a weird way to get up in the morning for Damian. Usually Damian would go back

to bed if he was awoken at such an early time, but today was obviously different. He knew he had to be up on time for his training with

Jicks. He left the room and walked into the lounge. He looked around the room and saw Lily. She looked as if she was laughing to herself.

Damian felt a little perplexed as to what was so funny, then it hits him. He stared down at himself. Ut oh! He forgot to put clothes on. He

quickly ran back into the room and put his clothes on from yesterday. A bit stinky, but it would have to do.

Damian : Have you seen the moustache man Miss Lady?
Lily : He's on the roof top waiting for you little boy.
Damian : Tank you.

Damian quickly went up the stairs and located the access door to the roof. He saw Jicks standing, looking out at the horizon with his

cane firmly in the ground.

Jicks : Good. You're up. I have some clothes for you to use for this training. The same stuff I used when I was a little boy.

Jicks pointed at the ground next to him. It seemed to be a rather glittery piece of clothing, bronze in color, almost like a leotard. Damian

happily accepted the outfit and quickly put it on. It seemed to be a rather tight fit since Damian had a little plump belly on him. Despite

the tight fit, it looked like Damian was ready to go.

Damian : Now what?

Jicks quickly turned around and hit Damian over the head with his cane. Suddenly Damian felt rather dizzy and everything seemed to spin

around him. What was happening to him? What did Jicks do? Everything felt slower to Damian. He could see the motion of his arms

moving as if he was moving faster then the speed of light. Jicks stood there staring at Damian, as if he was studying him. After what

seemed to be an eternity to Damian, Jicks tapped his cane back on the ground and everything seemed to go back to normal.

Jicks : Yes, you are going need a lot of training. You can hardly stand up right when you enter in that time flux aura. After a bit we'll be

able to train in there.

Damian felt so confused what had just happened, but it seemed like Jicks knew what he was doing.

Jicks : We'll start off with the simply exercises. I want you to jump from this roof top to the next.
Damian : Okay!

It seemed easy enough, or was it? The little Damian started running and attempted to jump to the next roof top. Unfortunately, he only

jumped an inch. It looked as if it was going to take more effort than that. Luckily a bunch of alley cats broke his fall. He quickly climbed

back up the side of the building and attempted this feat over and over. After a while, Damian's butt began to hurt as if scorpions were

digging inside. He was persistent though and seemed to get a little further each time. Jicks began to look a bit disgusted after a while

though. He knew this was going to take much longer if Damian didn't lose all of that extra weight.

Jicks : Alright, that's enough. You're going to do something else. I want you to run around the edge of the building until I tell you to

stop. This should help you gain balance and speed.
Damian : Won't I fell if I do that though?
Jicks : That's the point. You won't get better at it unless you can run around without falling.
Damian : But my caboose is sore.
Jicks : If you don't continue I'll give it something to be sore about.

Damian looked a bit sad after, but did what Jicks told him. He really couldn't argue with him. If Damian keeps working at it, he might have

a chance to stop Tsyremy, but what lies ahead in the training? Will Damian ever be ready? And what is with this magic stick Jicks

possesses? All these and more, will be revealed, in the next chapter.
