  1. Splitting Audio
  2.
  3. One of the benefits you can leverage by capturing application audio this way is that you can split audio layers. That is to say, you can make it so that certain audio sources are only heard in the live broadcast and not in the VOD. It's actually extremely simple to do.
  4.
  5. First go to Settings > Output and look at the Streaming Settings section at the top. You will see Audio Track and Twitch VOD Track. Your Audio Track should be set to 1 and you should check the box next to Twitch VOD Track and select 2. It should look like this:

  8.
  9. What this means is that it is going to send track 1 to the live broadcast and track 2 to the VOD. We can control which audio sources are in which track very easily. Simply close the settings menu once you're done and then go to the Audio Mixer panel. Click on the three dots near the end of ANY of your audio source monitors and click Advanced Audio Properties. It will bring up a menu.
  10.
  11. On the right side you can see "Tracks" and all of them are checked. If you set things up like I detailed in the previous paragraph, track 1 will be your live sources and track 2 will be your VOD sources. For example, if you uncheck the 2 on your Chrome source, this would mean that Chrome will be heard by people watching the stream live, but will not be included in the VOD. That's all there is to it!
