  1. Ouch.
  2. >Pain floods your mind.
  3. >It's not a good pain either.
  4. >It feels like somebody threw you straight off a cliff.
  5. >You open your eyes.
  6. >Light from the bright sun immediately makes you shut them again.
  7. >You slowly adjust to the brightness, and take a quick look around you.
  8. Where am I?
  9. >Nothing looked familiar. You were in a huge, grassy field, full of flowers and, well, grass.
  10. >You just realized that you were lying on your stomach.
  11. >You put your arms underneath you, and you slowly get back to your feet.
  12. >Your muscles ached, but at least you could walk.
  13. What happened..
  14. >You don’t remember anything..
  15. >Wait.
  16. >You don’t remember anything.
  17. >Literally.
  18. >You start to walk around. You might as well.
  19. Man, this backpack is kind of heavy.
  20. >You had a backpack on? You didn’t even notice.
  21. >You take it off, and take a look at it.
  22. >You could see two perfect tan lines on your skin where the backpack had been.
  23. >Wait, why didn’t you have a shirt on?
  24. >What else are you missing?
  25. >You take a good look at yourself.
  26. >You had no shoes, and you could feel the calluses on the bottoms of your feet.
  27. >You had on underwear, or at least you could feel it, and yellow shorts, and a black belt.
  28. >You didn’t have a shirt, but you did have a necklace. It had some sort of tooth on it.
  29. >You look at the ground.
  30. >You spy some kind of stringed instrument.
  31. >You pick it up.
  32. >It looked kind of like a guitar, but smaller, and rounder.
  33. >A banjo.. This was a banjo.
  34. >Banjo. That sounded familiar.
  35. >You take a look at the backpack.
  36. >It was blue, and looked pretty worn down.
  37. >You could see it had a strap where your banjo went. You put it back on the backpack.
  38. >You could see a name on it.
  39. >You sure hoped it was yours.
  40. >It actually looked like two names, but the first was to worn to be legible.
  41. Kazooie? My last name is Kazooie? That doesn’t sound right.
  42. >That’s kind of lame.
  43. >But whatever, you now had something to call yourself.
  44. >You put the backpack on. You didn’t really feel like going through it right now.
  45. >You scope the area around you, and spy a small town, or something that isn’t natural, a couple miles from where you were.
  46. >Well, it’s a start.
  47. >You pick up the pace, and start making your trek towards the town.
  48. >You don’t know how you got here, but you needed answers, and this town was your best bet.
  49. >The grass really helped with cushioning your footsteps. It came to about halfway up your calf.
  50. >What happened? Why didn’t you have a shirt or shoes on? Who are you?
  51. >There were too many questions that you had, with no answers.
  52. >You keep getting closer to the town, and start to see a few of the houses.
  53. >Strange. Why would you use hay as rooftop material? Is hay waterproof? It must be..
  54. >You soon find that you are walking on cobblestone. Your feet didn’t mind though, you couldn’t really feel anything in your feet actually.
  55. >You get to pretty much the middle of the town before you realize something.
  56. >There wasn’t anyone in sight.
  57. >You look up at the sky.
  58. >Yep, the sun was out. You are pretty sure that people would be out in the middle of the day, or at least just one person. You needed some help.
  59. >You spy a creature with their back turned to you.
  60. >You start walking towards them.
  61. Excuse me, but could you-
  62. >She turns around, and widens its eyes at you in shock.
  63. >In a pink and yellow blur, it is gone before you could finish your sentence.
  64. Wait! I just needed.. Some help.
  65. >You find a bench, and sit on it, putting your head in your hands.
  66. >What was that? They sure looked strange, but you’ve seen stranger things.
  67. >At least you think you have.
  68. >You take a look at the banjo again.
  69. >Could you play this? You could faintly remember some songs..
  70. >You take the banjo, and start strumming it, just randomly.
  71. >Soon, the random notes start turning into a song, and you are soon playing your heart out.
  72. >A few of the things started poking their heads out of houses. They were curious.
  73. >You stop playing, and put the banjo away.
  74. >You didn’t want them to like you just because of the instrument you played. You wanted them to know you weren’t a threat.
  75. >You cup your hands together and begin to speak.
  76. Hey, if anyone can help me, I’m just trying to find my way home, so if you could just help me out, I’ll be out of here!
  77. >A few brave ones stepped out.
  78. >One in particular came up to you.
  79. >It was a girl, you think, and she had an orange coat, carrots decorated on her, with carrot-colored hair.
  80. Carrot: Um, excuse me sir, but, you aren’t here to, you know, hurt us or anything?
  81. >You look her straight in the eyes.
  82. I’m not here to harm anyone. I just want to get home.
  83. >The thing breathed a sigh of relief.
  84. It’s ok everyone! He isn’t here to hurt us!
  85. >You here a bunch of other sighs, and more and more ponies start to come out, surrounding you. They start to ask you questions.
  86. “Who are you?”
  87. “What’s your name?”
  88. “What is that thing you were playing?”
  89. “Where are you going?”
  90. >You smiled and wished you knew the answers too.
  91. I’m sorry everyone, but do any of you know where I can get a map?
  92. >Your stomach growls. You don’t know the last time you’ve eaten. You sure are craving something sweet though.
  93. ..And maybe where I can find some food?
  94. >All the them walked away from you, and formed a circle, whispering, occasionally peeking at you. They all nodded their heads, and went back to you.
  95. “We think we know someone that can help.”
  96. Who?
  97.
  98. >You are taken to a tree.
  99. >Not just any tree, a huge tree.
  100. >With windows, and a door, and other house things.
  101. >You wave goodbye to the crowd that helped you get there, and step forward.
  102. >You get to the door, hoping that someone here can help you with your problem.
  103. Knock knock knock.
  104. “Coming!”
  105. >You wait patiently as you hear someone come down a flight of stairs.
  106. >The door opens, and out pops out a strange, lizard thing.
  107. “Uh.. can I help you?”
  108. I was wondering if someone here could help me? I have a problem..
  109. Lizard: Oh, do you want Twilight?
  110. I guess so.
  111. lizard: Ok, hold on a sec.
  112. >the lizard walks away from the door, and starts yelling.
  113. “Twilight!”
  114. Twi: What is it Spike?
  115. Spike: There is something that needs your help!
  116. >You shake off the something part.
  117. >You hear hooves hitting wood, and you see a pony come up to the door.
  118. >She had a purple coat and a indigo mane, with pink and purple stripes in it.
  119. Twi: Oh, hello there. My name is Twilight Sparkle. Is there anything you need?
  120. Uhh.. I need a map. Do you have any?
  121. Twi: Oh yes, I have plenty of maps. Follow me.
  122. >Twilight leads you into her treehouse.
  123. >You see that inside has many, many, many books.
  124. >You look around in wonder. Maybe, just maybe, you could find your home in one of these.
  125. Twi: Now let’s see.. maps, maps..
  126. >Twilight pulls down a giant atlas, and flips to a page.
  127. Twi: Hmm.. Well this is Ponyville. So where do you come from?
  128. >Uh oh, she got you there.
  129. I.. Um.. I don’t know.
  130. Twi: What? How can you not know where your home is?
  131. I think I have amnesia. No, I know I have amnesia. I can’t remember anything at all.
  132. Twi: But, surely you must have some clues to where you live! What’s in that backpack?
  133. >You almost forgot about it. There must be some clues in it.
  134. >You take the backpack off, and look at it.
  135. >It seemed easy enough to open. It had just one giant flap, and a couple of buckles. Strangely, the buckles weren’t even closed, so you just opened the flap.
  136. What the..
  137. >Inside was a bird. A big red bird. It seemed to be knocked out though. You take it out, with some difficulty, and hold it in your hands.
  138. >It didn’t seem to have any scratches or cuts on it. You could feel it breathing, so at least it was alive.
  139. >But why was there a bird in your backpack?
  140. Twi: What- why would you keep a bird in your backpack? It probably suffocated!
  141. >Twilight glares at you.
  142. Twi: Who in their right mind would do that?!
  143. I don’t know! I can’t remember anything!
  144. Twi: Oh, of course you don’t remember killing a poor bird.
  145. Are you calling me a liar? Because I don’t remember anything! And look, it’s still breathing..
  146. Twi: It is?
  147. >Twilight takes another look at it. It was probably just knocked out.
  148. Twi: Hmm.. sadly, I don’t know anything about birds. At least not enough to help it out. Oh! You could go see Fluttershy!
  149. >She gives you a map.
  150. Twi: Here, just go to that house out there. You are right here.
  151. >She points to a house separated from all the others.
  152. Aren’t you coming with me? I still need some help.
  153. Twi: Look, I would love to, but I’m really busy right now. Just come back later after you fix the bird you killed.
  154. I didn’t kill it!
  155. Twi: Ok, I didn’t say you did.
  156. What? Yes you-
  157. >The bird coughs. The argument will have to wait.
  158. I’ll be back.
  159. >You open the door, and run outside, bird in tow. You run past all of the others waving at you. You really just hoped that the bird was just knocked out. You couldn’t stand knowing that you probably caused the death of something..
  160. >You look at the map again. It looked like the house was right on the edge of some roads. You inspect it further, and notice that there was a trail leading directly towards it. You find the path and get on it. Running across the dirt path.
  161. >Why didn’t you have any shoes on? It didn’t hurt your feet at all, but it felt strange, like you were supposed to be wearing other things, but at the same time, you felt freer.
  162. >You see a house coming up, and you just stare at it.
  163. >It had so much wildlife around it, a creek right next to it, with a bridge that went straight to her house.
  164. >You almost forget the task at hand, just staring at all of the scenery it had to offer.
  165. >You shake your head, and continue to her house.
  166. >You approach the door, and knock, taking care not to bump your feathered companion.
  167. “Coming.”
  168. >The voice was soft and gentle, and barely audible. You hear hoofsteps coming to the front door, and it opens, revealing-
  169. Flutter: AHH!
  170. >The pony slams the door in your face.
  171. >Wait, you remember that pony.. She was the one that ran away from you.
  172. Wait! I need some help!
  173. Flutter: Please.. go away..
  174. But.. I need help. I think this bird is hurt, and-
  175. >The door opens again, and Fluttershy is wide-eyed.
  176. Flutter: Where is it?!
  177. >She takes it from your arms in a quick swoop, and goes inside. You follow her and shut the door.
  178. Flutter: Oh, you poor thing.. I know something that will wake you right up.
  179. >Fluttershy goes upstairs, and you hear some fumbling around. She comes back downstairs, a bag in her mouth, full of a white powder. She puts it down, and somehow opens it, covering her nose with a hoof as she does.
  180. Flutter: Um.. excuse me.. Can you help me?
  181. Of course.
  182. Flutter: Can you.. um.. take some of this salt, and just hold it under her nose please?
  183. >It was a her? How can she tell?
  184. >You don’t bother with it, and take a small pinch of the salt, and put it under the birds beak.
  185. >You see the birds reaction as it starts to frown, and cough. It opens its eyes.
  186. Bird: What.. happened?
  187. >So it could talk too. Again, you think you’ve seen stranger things.
  188. Bird: What are you looking at?
  189. Um.. nothing. Who are you?
  190. Bird: I don’t know, who are you?
  191. Flutter: Um, excuse me-
  192. Bird: And who are you? What the heck did you make me smell?! Where am I!?
  193. >The bird gets up, and looks at you.
  194. Bird: Hey, do I know you from somewhere?
  195. >You have to admit, this bird looked familiar.
  196. I think so.. What were you doing in my backpack?
  197. Bird: Backpack? What are you talking about?
  198. >You take your backpack off, and show it to her.
  199. I found you in my backpack. Why were you in there? Did.. I put you in there?
  200. >The bird looks at the backpack.
  201. Bird: What happened?
  202. I don’t know, I’ve been trying to figure that out. The last thing I remember is waking up in a big, grassy field, and you were in my backpack.
  203. Bird: So.. I know you?
  204. I guess so..
  205. >She keeps staring at your backpack.
  206. What is it?
  207. Bird: Kazooie.. That sounds so familiar.. What’s your name?
  208. I.. don’t know. I was guessing that was it.
  209. Bird: But, I need a name too! And I like the sound of Kazooie.
  210. But, it’s my backpack..
  211. Bird: You don’t know that. And by the sounds of it, YOU kidnapped ME. So I get to pick.
  212. Fine.. Kazooie.
  213. Kazooie: And what is your name?
  214. >You look at the backpack again.
  215. Just.. call me..
  216. >You try to think of a name, but just can’t think of a good one.
  217. Just.. call me Aanon.
  218. Kazooie: Ok Aanon, what’s up with your clothes? You seem to be missing some.
  219. I have no idea.
  220. Kazooie: Can I see that backpack?
  221. >You hand it over, and Kazooie puts her beak inside it.
  222. Kazooie: You know, this doesn’t look so bad.
  223. >Kazooie gets inside it, amazingly fitting in it.
  224. Kazooie: Ooh, this is actually really comfortable. I could get used to this..
  225. Wait, you’re staying in there? Why?!
  226. Kazooie: Why not? It’s comfy. Soo.. Now what?
  227. >You sigh, and put the backpack on. Just as you do, something falls out of it.
  228. Kazooie: What’s this doing in here?
  229. >You pick it up. It was a notebook of sorts. You open it up. On the top of the front page, in big letters, it says “Moves”.
  230. >Moves? What moves?
  231. >You sigh. Today has been a long day.
  232. >You look over to Fluttershy. She was just quietly watching you two.
  233. Flutter: Soo.. umm.. I was just wondering Aanon.. What are you exactly?
  234. What do you mean?
  235. Flutter: Well umm.. I've never seen anything like you before.. And your teeth.. They look strange.
  236. >What was so strange about them?
  237. >YOu look at Fluttershy's, which looked kind of flat and white.
  238. >YOu feel around your teeth with your tounge.
  239. >Right away you could telll what she ment. Yours were much more jagged than hers.
  240. I.. I don't know Fluttershy.
  241. Kazooie: Jeez, is there anything you DO know?
  242. Quiet.
  243. Kazooie: Make me.
  244. >With that, Kazooie pecks you in the back of the head.
  245. Ow!
  246. >It was going to take a while to get used to this.
  247. Flutter: Excuse me, but do you have anywhere to be?
  248. >You think of Twilight’s, but you didn’t really need to go there anymore.
  249. No, nowhere.
  250. Flutter: Would you like to.. join me for dinner? I was just about to eat.
  251. Why, thank you, that would be wonderful.
  252. Kazooie: Hey! What about me?
  253. Flutter: Oh, I have plenty of delicious birdseed.
  254. Kazooie: Awesome.
  255. >Fluttershy takes both of you into her kitchen.
  256. >You take the backpack off.
  257. You coming out?
  258. Kazooie: NO.
  259. Fine.
  260. >You put the pack over the chair, and sit down. Fluttershy takes a bowl of birdseed, and sets it on the table, allowing Kazooie to eat right over your shoulder. You thought you would be annoyed, but it actually felt.. normal.
  261. >Fluttershy comes out, a plate in her teeth.
  262. >Reflexes automatically make you grab the plate.
  263. Oh, sorry about that..
  264. >She lets you take the plate, full of apples, lettuce, and.. hay.
  265. Flutter: I hope your hungry Aanon.
  266. >Hay. Alright.
  267. >You take the plate.
  268. >Whatever you are, you don’t eat hay. You happily eat the apple though, and the lettuce was just fine with you. You are still craving something sweet though, but this will do just fine.
  269. >Fluttershy takes her plate, and eats with you, staring at you. When you look back at her however, she looks away.
  270. >You, and eventually Kazooie, after a few more pecks at your head, and a choking administered by you, finish.
  271. >You get up, and take yours and Fluttershy’s plate to the sink, and Fluttershy quickly washes them.
  272. >It was already getting dark out, and you had no place to go.
  273. Um.. Ok Fluttershy, I’ve bothered you long enough.
  274. Kazooie: Whoa whoa, where exactly are we crashing?
  275. >Oh right. Her.
  276. Kazooie: If you think I’m going to sleep in a field again, you’ve got it wrong buster!
  277. Fine then, where should we sleep? We don’t even know where we are-
  278. Flutter: Umm.. I wouldn’t mind If you slept on the couch. There is plenty of room.
  279. Well, I don’t-
  280. Kazooie: We’ll do that.
  281. Ok, we can stay for a night..
  282. Flutter: Oh, I don’t mind at all Aanon.
  283. >Fluttershy shows you the couch, and you sit on it. You had to admit, it was really comfortable.
  284. >Flutter: A blanket is on the couch, just call me if you need anything..
  285. >Fluttershy goes upstairs, and into what you assume is the bedroom.
  286. >You sigh, and take off your backpack. You hear Kazooie snoring in it already. You gently set it down, and stretch out on the couch.
  287. >You don’t know how you got here, but you just hope you will find out.
