- GuardGoldman i had an SCP idea
- Paladin *site.
- GuardGoldman based on those little pigment guys
- Timetraveling Hit us with it
- GuardGoldman but also mixed with that 1337 speaking virus
- Paladin The Fanfic plague that made Chowderclef?
- GuardGoldman its kind of a mix of 705 and the fanfic plague
- EmberTech Imagine an SCP larp tho
- GuardGoldman the little ink soldiers
- EmberTech You have Science Department people and such
- GuardGoldman they affect written documents in ink only
- EmberTech and then you also have people who are Mobile Task Force people
- GuardGoldman things printed in ink too
- kaktus Evening, all
- EmberTech Hello kaktus
- kola Hello potted plant
- Paladin I should actually write an SCP DnD campaign for my group.
- kola how goes it?
- GuardGoldman Ah are you guys sure you wanna hear it
- EmberTech yes tell us
- Paladin Hello, kaktus.
- ztshp hi kaktus
- |<-- Some_Potato has left irc.synirc.net (Connection reset by peer)
- Timetraveling GuardGoldman I think we have something like that already
- GuardGoldman Well alright so this skip isn't too dangerous, it's at worst an annoyance and at best really entertaining.
- Timetraveling Living ink from the Library of Alexandria or something
- Paladin Maybe SCP would make a better Shadowrun or GURPS campaign.
- kaktus kola: it goes well
- GuardGoldman Im not going to publish it, just an idea.
- kaktus Good to see you all
- kaktus Do we have a draft here?
- GuardGoldman So they spread via ink and paper
- GuardGoldman and they alter what it says
- EmberTech hmmm
- GuardGoldman taking things with even a clinical tone or normal things being described and turning the bodies of text into thrilling and also sob racking and also enthralling war stories
- Paladin It sounds interesting.
- GuardGoldman the topic itself usually stays the same a little bit at its core
- Timetraveling SCP 1658
- EmberTech This sounds cool
- Timetraveling That's what this reminds me of
- GuardGoldman But when this skip marches between papers it's form is kind of revealed
- GuardGoldman basically they look like the pigments from tactile wars
- GuardGoldman little soldiers made of ink
- GuardGoldman And if they get access to more ink they get more strength. Ink that is black turns their color.
- EmberTech does the type of soldier vary
- GuardGoldman yes indeed
- EmberTech like are they sometimes hoplites and other times, say, musketeers
- GuardGoldman they also have civilians because good war stories aren't just about the soldiers
- EmberTech Title idea:
- EmberTech Polemic Pandemic
- kola that last part sounds very interesting
- GuardGoldman and vehicles or horses or a little war correspondent
- GuardGoldman Now since pretty much all foundation documents are written In a clinical tone and in black ink
- Paladin I'm going to go for a few minutes. I got to do something. BRB.
- GuardGoldman there are two ways to tell if an article has been affected by this skip
- kola See ya Paladin
- GuardGoldman the heavy purple prose
- GuardGoldman and the colored ink
- <--| Paladin has left #site19
- GuardGoldman Luckily a sort of agreement has been reached with most of the ink colors of this scp
- EmberTech So, is this like, The Iliad levels of purple prose?
- GuardGoldman mmmm sort of?
- GuardGoldman think saving private Ryan in book form
- |<-- Dexanote has left irc.synirc.net (Quit: Bye friends.)
- EmberTech "and then his mighty javelin pierced the gilded cuirass of dictionary-born Hector, and black death covered his eyes"
- GuardGoldman Or all quiet On the western front. The way it's written depends what color ink army has taken control of the documebt
- GuardGoldman document
- Timetraveling So are they fighting to tell their own story? Or their interpretation of the same story?
- GuardGoldman The different colors range widely across parts of the world and time periods
- GuardGoldman they are fighting to try and teach people different but equally important morals about war and its consequences
- EmberTech "but then they decided to make campaign against those men who had come pillaging from the young adult novels, and so it came to pass that the army valiantly marched fifteen page-lengths to their city, and they sacked it heartily and burned it to the ground."
- GuardGoldman but by fighting each other to try and have their message heard above the others it ironically hinders them almost completely
- EmberTech I like that concept
- =-= GreenWolf is now known as SleepWolf
- EmberTech I imagine battlegrounds would be utterly unintelligible
- -->| SunnyClockwork ([email protected]) has joined #site19
- Timetraveling Yeah, it sounds good
- GuardGoldman They don't actually "kill" each other though. They are all ideas.
- GuardGoldman but getting shot or blown up really hurts
- |<-- WrongJohnSilver has left irc.synirc.net (Quit: http://www.kiwiirc.com/ - A hand crafted IRC client)
- GuardGoldman and it takes awhile for an inky to get back in fighting form
- EmberTech So they're essentially trapped at war for eternity. Damn.
- GuardGoldman Well the skip isn't inherently hostile
- SunnyClockwork hi site19
- |<-- Tesseract has left irc.synirc.net (Connection reset by peer)
- EmberTech Oh yeah, but I imagine that must be hell for them
- kola Hello SunnyClockwork
- EmberTech hi sunny
- GuardGoldman it's just hijacking anything it thinks has a good chance of being read by someone to try and get their message out
- Timetraveling waves at Sunny
- SunnyClockwork :3
- GuardGoldman And if asked politely to leave a body of text they will
- GuardGoldman if and only if it is read by someone who then talks about what he thinks can be learned from the story
- Timetraveling I could imagine this being a Manna Charitable Skip or something similar.
- GuardGoldman and when the skip leaves the article goes back to its normal color of ink and normal words
- GuardGoldman And then they march off to some other paper with ink on it
- GuardGoldman This started out as a silly side idea afterthought
- GuardGoldman how did I come up with thay
- GuardGoldman that
- GuardGoldman Maybe this is actually usable?
- Timetraveling No idea. But I think you got a solid one. It's different from all the other ink/word related SCPs I know of
- GuardGoldman would the mcf care about spreading the word of PTSD and other problems related to soldiers and war?
- EmberTech I think so, yeah
- GuardGoldman The Inkies don't have it so bad. Sometimes the stories they make on a new article or scientific journal or dictionary or newspaper isn't so bad... I'm saying that because I feel bad for them now.
- |<-- thomas has left irc.synirc.net (Ping timeout: 188 seconds)
- GuardGoldman I think the foundation miiight be able to contain it? But it would be more interesting if at least a few pigment color armies were wandering around messing with SCP entries and incident logs
- |<-- Athenodora has left irc.synirc.net (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
- |<-- DolphinSlugchugger has left irc.synirc.net (Quit: )
- EmberTech I imagine they'd just lock them all in a room or something.
- EmberTech Also, that gives you an opportunity for an experiment log
- EmberTech And those are always fun
- GuardGoldman Hopefully the room has plenty of books to keep them busy and at least one d class to read them
- Timetraveling What kind of experiments would you even run on theses inkies?
- |<-- kola has left irc.synirc.net (Quit: http://www.kiwiirc.com/ - A hand crafted IRC client)
- GuardGoldman Well first interaction with different genres of text
- EmberTech Then putting different books in close proximity, maybe
- GuardGoldman maybe some anomalous things involving ink and paper
- EmberTech and watching them fight
- GuardGoldman like the unfinished song
- GuardGoldman except that's blood
- GuardGoldman but they could go into it. But it would be horrible for them.
- EmberTech inkies + daevite book
- EmberTech ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
- GuardGoldman And now they get along with, or don't get along with, other tiny sized skips
- GuardGoldman how*
- GuardGoldman like the tiny little computer motherboard people
- EmberTech Yes, definitely them
- GuardGoldman what was their number again?
- EmberTech Although they might accidentally kill all the motherboard people by shorting out the board
- EmberTech then you could have feels
- GuardGoldman dont worry ember they got vehicles and stuff
- GuardGoldman they might just accidentally crush some infrastructure under their tank treads
- |<-- Adverescens has left irc.synirc.net (Ping timeout: 181 seconds)
- GuardGoldman and I mean accidentally
- EmberTech yes but feels
- GuardGoldman Overall this skip and it's instances don't want to hurt anybody
- |<-- Kalinin has left irc.synirc.net (Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client)
- GuardGoldman it wants to spread a message of not yknow, all war is bad and the people in it is bad dissolve all armies
- GuardGoldman its message is to give better care to returning veterans of any nation and to make sure civilians don't suffer
- Timetraveling Well GuardGoldman sounds like you got some writing to do in the sandbox
- GuardGoldman if an instance of this skip shorted out a motherboard they would probably dishonorably discharge themselves
- GuardGoldman and I don't mean little ink splatters
- EmberTech if one of them is wounded and ink comes off, does it form a word wherever they're standing?
- GuardGoldman i mean they would hang up their helmets and go live their rest of existence retired in an ink cartridge
- GuardGoldman when they fight off of paper it's basically like SCP-705 wars
- GuardGoldman on paper it's like...
- GuardGoldman you can see two separate war stories, the words literally fighting each other
- -->| molcandr ([email protected]) has joined #site19
- GuardGoldman and if you look closely enough you can see each letter is actually a person
- GuardGoldman And the individual instances of the skip have their own minds and voices. But usually a "army" is spoken for by its leader or whoever the protagonist of the next story they spin will be
- ztshp pop quiz time, what is yoda's species name?
- GuardGoldman But as a collective while the different instances of it, the different colored inks, are very intelligent and when given blank paper manage to write very well thought out scholarly level articles on PTSD, famine, child soldiers, stuff. 1 am I am tired.
- Timetraveling ztshp trick question
- Timetraveling its never stated
- Timetraveling Also I am dead tired.

- GuardGoldman i just thought of a good anomalous thing! With the ink guys
- GuardGoldman like it's an unexpected thing if you do a stupid thing with them
- Wogglebug Hello
- ztshp ugh the red letter media people sound sooo condecending
- EmberTech hello wogglebug
- GuardGoldman Either because of unauthorized d class use of the skip or dumb foundation use of it in normal procedures
- ztshp hi woggle
- GuardGoldman hi wobblebug
- GuardGoldman woggle
- Wogglebug where does your name come from, GuardGoldman?
- GuardGoldman If one of the ink people is used to make a tattoo then that little ink persons personal war torn story is etched into the tattooed persons mind
- GuardGoldman And no matter what design was made the tattoo will revert to a portrait of said inky
- GuardGoldman oh just mixed a name with a foundation status
- EmberTech ooooo, that seems like something you could throw in an experiment log
- GuardGoldman Also if an ink person gets injected into a bloodstream?
- GuardGoldman well these guys and blood do not mix well
- EmberTech ohhh shit
- GuardGoldman blood for them is like...
- GuardGoldman scp-610 for us

- GuardGoldman And what SCP-inky-b does to articles it marches to is well... Not as helpful as scp-inky-a
- SunnyClockwork is disappointed that the one flesh mates with is not broken god pieces
- GuardGoldman ink-b doesn't do stories of hope or ones with morals or lessons
- GuardGoldman it just goes way too in depth to the horrors of war with no home and no apparent meaning
- GuardGoldman hope
- GuardGoldman and it refuses to leave articles it affects
- GuardGoldman I really hope I remember most of this in the morning to write it down
