We aim to put fun before anything else while still striving to provide the structured game play and teamwork that ArmA players have come to expect.</p><p><br/></p><p>The name 5th Rifles was chosen for a few reasons. The most important is we were looking for a fairly generic name. Unlike most ArmA units that mimic an exact unit or organisation, we are looking to use them as a frame work which we can build on and modify as needed. We're firm believers that not all real world tactics work in game and that games are fun, not a chore. We aim to strip all the unnecessary waiting and frustrations out and provide a fun yet structured mode of play for our members.</p><p><br/></p><h2>How we operate</h2><p>We are infantry focused and although we have Air and Armour sections, they exist only in support of the infantry. <br/><br/>We don't have ranks, we have 1 or 2 people handling the direction of each section during missions, but other than that everyone's on a level playing field. If you like hardcore military ranks and behaviour we are not the unit for you. <br/><br/>This is a game, and although we have military style radio communication and tactics, everything else about the military is left in the real world where it belongs.</p><p><br/></p><h2>An Average Week</h2><p>Our weekly gameplay looks something like this, all events start around 20:00:00 GMT/BST</p><p><br/><b>Friday:</b> Private server missions (MSO/Zeus/Custom) <br/><b>Saturday:</b> Large scale Operation <br/><b>Sunday: </b>Private server MSO <br/><b>Tuesday:</b> Public play with a focus on recruitment <br/><b>Thursday:</b> Training session on Private server<br/><br/>We ask you attend as many Tuesday and Thursday nights as you can.
