  1. ZiV Simfile Shuffle : Round 2
  2.
  3. AkihiroIIDX's reviews.
  4.
  5. /// Bloomin' feeling (world electronica mix) - Stepped by Lisek.
  6.
  7. / Beginner :
  8. Wow this has 13 tap steps. Is that even a 1 ?
  9.
  10. / Light :
  11. Okay, this is more like a :beg: chart. :sta: could have been the :lig: chart and :hea: the :sta: one... :cha: becoming an :hea: chart.
  12.
  13. / Standard :
  14. Pretty slow for a 3 (90bpm, so it stays easy even with 4 steps per measure)
  15. Also, I'm not sure how a beginner reacts to that much of freezes. I enjoy adding freezes to go along with the music, but I personally tend to avoid this in lower difficulties.
  16. The chart is fine otherwise, nothing wrong.
  17.
  18. / Heavy :
  19. Nice, follow the music correctly.
  20. Though it could have used more steps, and the patterns were a bit simple considering the tempo of the song.
  21. - After the part with all the freezes, you have the part with 4x2 arrows (you see what I'm talking about right ?) I find the part immediately after this, a bit confusing... I think the step before the five 8th should be a 16th earlier. It would match the rhythm of the music, and it would give even more sense to be part before that.
  22.
  23. / Challenge :
  24. The beginning was fine, accurate rhythms, flowing patterns, everything was pretty good..
  25. But after the instrument you've been relying on is gone, the chart becomes somewhat bland and the rhythms you chose aren't always appropriate.
  26. That was not an easy song to step. But I think you didn't use the music to its full potential for this chart, many details were left out. Don't be scared to used 16th or even 32nd, again, it runs at 90bpm. Unless you think that speedmods are illegal, it should be playable.
  27.
  28.
  29. /// Fantastic Love (DJ White Star Machine Mashup) - Stepped by Pandemonium X
  30.
  31. Wow dude, this is a massive drop compared to your previous one. The BPM changes were a nice touch though.
  32.
  33. / Light :
  34. Good, except the the few starting steps.
  35.
  36. / Standard :
  37. Mostly fine, but not solid enough. The patterns are a bit meh, and lack consitency overall.7
  38. Some times you have freezes, sometimes not, some times a jump, sometimes a simple tap...
  39. It doesn't feel clean.
  40. Again, iffy beginning.
  41.
  42. / Heavy :
  43. Come on, the beginning could have been more complex than a bunch of 4th this time !
  44. Minimalistic rhythms, meh patterning, consistency issues...
  45. I won't develop too far though...
  46.

  48. /// From Romania - Stepped by Azn_punk_07
  49.
  50. / Beginner :
  51. This would make a nice cruel joke to introduce someone to DDR
  52. I have to say this is a nice :beg: chart though lol
  53.
  54. / Light :
  55. Very nice chart, the gimmicks make it really tricky, but it was really neat.
  56.
  57. / Standard :
  58. Wow I love this one too, I love how the sync data and the step data co-exist to make a consistent ensemble, and this for every difficulty. Congrats.
  59.
  60. / Heavy :
  61. Again, I'm speechless. But wait, my review is not over
  62.
  63. / Challenge :
  64. Here's the big issue I would adress to this file.
  65. This chart is just too much.
  66. With this level of gimmick, the :hea: chart was already tricky, but there was only a few moves to know and then it becomes very fun to play, but this one is just too hard lol.
  67. Well, :cha: charts are optional, so there is no problem really. At least it is "challenging" !
  68. Nice work on this file and all the sync data, I suck at gimmicks ;_;
  69.

  72.
  73. / Light :
  74. ULTIMATE 4TH STREAM OF LAZINESS SPOTTED.
  75.
  76. / Standard :
  77. The beginning was fine and the rhythms were fitting, considering the complexity of the song. It was nicely patterned too. But then it went straight into the 8th stream and thing suddenly became a bit bland. There was other instruments and rhythms that could have been picked out. Even after the stream, it was still a bit "lazier" than the beginning.
  78. But, well, it's still a decent chart.
  79.
  80. / Heavy :
  81. The beginning is nice, didn't find any rhythmic issues, the patterns are fine too.
  82. I'm not sure why you kept the 8ths in the speed up part though. 12th would have been fine I guess.
  83. Then comes the long 16th stream. Well, it could have been "better" if you tried to emphasize on the drums by changing arrow directions accordingly. The form of stream you used is a bit minimalistic and I think it's long enough to annoy the player.
  84. The second part of the stream was fine though, with nice end patterns.
  85. The rest of the chart is okay too, except is you hate dem crosseovers.
  86.
  87.
  88. /// Kagachi - Stepped by Telperion (Totally not a steppable song.)
  89.
  90. / Beginner : beginners gonna begin
  91.
  92. / Light :
  93. Very solid chart, (why is the arrow on the 174th beat a left arrow ?)
  94. Even if the song is very steppable, it is carfully patterned and well done.
  95.
  96. / Standard :
  97. Well, the usage of the freezes is interesting. But, you might be overdoing it, just a little. It's pretty unforgiving for the average player who might lift the wrong foot off the wrong panel.
  98. Some parts are a bit unbalanced too...
  99. It's a very nice chart anyway, good job.
  100.
  101. / Heavy :
  102. Wow, that's a lot of freezes. Again, carefully patterned etc.. (why is the arrow on the 66th beat a up arrow ?) I'm not sure about the part from 52.665 seconds to 63.959 though. It's somewhat less solid that the rest of the chart.
  103. The part before the ending freezes is interesting too.
  104.
  105. / Challenge :
  106. Well I expected a lot from this one
  107. It's good, but has some minor flaws.
  108. Part from 47.018 to 52.312 is a bit brutal. I can understand the rhythms, but unless you play wearing headphones, you won't be able to distinguish them in the music.
  109. And the part from 52.665 to 63.959 feels too easy. Something with more 8th here and there would have been more fitting I guess. If the player's tired here, then he hasn't the level to pass a 11-footer
  110. The run from 97.842 to 108.606 has two rythmic derps. Please take a look at this part, I'm not sure if it's me, but I think it's not normal.
  111.
  112.
  113. /// Move For Me (Beat Juggle) - Stepped by ddrstepper
  114.
  115. / Beginner : OK
  116.
  117. / Light :
  118. Meh chart. Lacks a lot of consistency. Many random patterns used only once. Same goes with the rhythms. I think the song's potential wasn't used enough. Light chart can be fun and resting too, so don't hesitate to emphasize everything you can with freezes, jumps, crossovers or whatever you want =)
  119.
  120. / Standard :
  121. Better than :lig but I would adress the same issues. Your chart aren't bad, but I definitely you could make them more interesting and take them further by working on your patterns choices.
  122. Personally, for each arrow (well, not exactly, but you get the idea) I put in my charts, the following questions cross my mind : "Why is this arrow here ?'" "What have I done before this pattern ?" "Is there another part where the music is similar ?" "How can I give an unique feel to this pattern while keeping the chart consistent with what's before and after it ?"
  123. That's just my view on things though =)
  124.
  125. / Heavy :
  126. Same things again.
  127. Though it does have interesting parts, with an overall nice and interesting interpretation. It's quite fun to play for those who like 130bpm 16ths (like me :D). But again, watch your consistency, in my opinion, it can only make a chart feel "cleaner".
  128. I didn't find anything wrong in any of your charts though.
  129.
  130.
  131. /// Senbonzakura - Stepped by xRGTMx
  132.
  133. Here comes the Early Bird file.
  134.
  135. / Beginner : OK
  136.
  137. / Light :
  138. Fine too, though I'm not sure about how the jumps are used in this one, but they are used in the same way throughout the chart so I guess it's fine.
  139.
  140. / Standard :
  141. Very nice chart.
  142. Nothing that blows the mind but I don't see anything to say on this one. Appropriate rhythms, consistent patterns.
  143. Solid chart.
  144. Maybe it could have been a little more "creative".
  145.
  146. / Heavy :
  147. Same as above, with some interesting parts. (I love 70.207 to 82.675)
  148. (Mirrored patterns always win btw)
  149.
  150. / Challenge :
  151. Not a big fan of your patterns and rhythms choices. I think the middle part with all the freezes is way too long. Feels too DDR X3-ish to me lol. It's nice though. Nothing else to say :p
  152.
  153.
  154. /// The Boys' Speed Highway (Cash Cash Remix) - stepped by xXMokou98Xx
  155.
  156. / Light :
  157. Simple, but I guess it works =)
  158.
  159. / Standard :
  160. Nice chart too, It's carefully made and I don't see anything to point out.
  161. I just think that it feels a bit too generic, lacks a bit of personality.
  162.
  163. / Heavy :
  164. It's a solid chart again, the patterns are really neat. But I would adress the same issues to this chart. Lacks a bit of personality, you could really have used some of the music's features to give more depth to your chart.
  165. Nice work though
  166.
  167.
  168. /// TIN-DON-DANCE - stepped by Braeden47
  169.
  170. / Light :
  171. not bad, just a bit generic for a 5 footer and not that well structured
  172.
  173. / Standard :
  174. meh, not a bad chart in anyway but nothing really interesting to play, the rhythms and patterns were appropriate but generic.
  175. I give a big NO to the 16th drills. They really aren't necessary....
  176.
  177. / Heavy :
  178. meh again, the steps are closer to the music, but this time the chart feel somewhat messy, I don't know... The usage of freezes is inconsistent too.
  179. Not too bad, but not really good. I suggest you to give a bit more thought to you patterns and rythms, try to keep the ensemble more consistent.
  180.
  181.
  182. /// We Can Change - stepped by Garik+
  183.
  184. / Beginner :
  185. I was surprised to see 8ths n this lol
  186.
  187. / Light :
  188. Not a fan of this kind of chart for a light chart. LOTS A FREEZES. But the structure was fine.
  189. Well structured but nothing really interesting.
  190.
  191. / Standard :
  192. Felt really better than :lig: ! It was handled correctly with appropriate rhythms and everything, nice. Nothing exceptional but it's a nice chart.
  193.
  194. / Heavy :
  195. Feels like :sta: with more arrows and crossovers. And more steps along the voice. And more messy too. I don't know why, I kinda dislike this one but it's a good as :sta: I guess
  196.
  197.
  198. /// Yume no Naka no Watashi no Yume - stepped by Nuneez
  199.
  200. / Light :
  201. Watch your rhythms.
  202. Sometimes you have something that follow the music, or a pattern that works well and you repeat it, but suddenly, 4th stream with toughened patterns. The first half of the chart was nice, depsite using extremely simple patterns.
  203. Other than that,I guess it works for a :lig: chart.
  204.
  205. / Standard :
  206. Again the first half works quite well (until 50 seconds). The file does have a logic and the rhythms used make sense. Watch your patterns though, having 5 measures without any left arrow is weird.
  207. The second half is not really good though, first the huge difficulty drop.
  208. Then the disappearance of the previously established structure, in exachange for a random 4th stream..., with random freezes and random jumps. Come on...
  209.
  210. / Heavy :
  211. Random forced 8th streams.
  212. This time it's the second half that is (way) better than the beginning.
  213.
  214. / Challenge :
  215. :lig: with shock arrows. works fine I guess, though you could have adapted the parts where shock arrows didn't fit.
