Rem pranks Subaru

(Rem talking) "Is it alright... to say something selfish?"

"...! Say it, say anything you like. I'll listen to anything you say because I'll do it"

In a hoarse and feeble voice, Rem looked up towards Subaru. His view was becoming blurry from the tears that welled up.  Subaru shook his head. Then she said, "I love you." (suki-da)

"-------"

"I really love you. (daisuki-da) I decided...... if you weren't here, I couldn't live." (TL Note: she says "it wouldn't do", which implies she couldn't live without him)


. . . (skipped ahead a bit)


"Wait..."

"I love you, Subaru-kun" (aishitemasu)

"Don't die dammit, stay by my side. I'll... once again only be leaving behind regrets!"

She who had dragged him to the future, he could not stand it without her existence. He did not realize it from long ago, but her presence had become much, much more important than it had before. That's why, "Talks of laughter in the future... if you're not there, then I don't want it!"

"That future... may Rem stay by your side?"

"......Isn't that obvious. I won't let you go anywhere else."

Closing his eyelids, he shook off the overflowing tears and stared straight at Rem. Then he said bluntly, "You're mine. I won't let anyone else have you."

"Your commitment. I have accepted it."

"Eh?"

Rem, tilting her head, smiled at Subaru and said, "Rem is now reserved to be next to Subaru's side... You can't take it back, ok?"

Rem, who had appeared like she was dying, was now teasing Subaru with a mischievous tone while winking. She then gently touched Subaru's lips with a finger.

"Y-y.....you, you........you----"

"Yes. This is Subaru's Rem-desu.  In name and in reality."

"A girl who has become honest to her feelings of love is strong, Subaru-kun.”

Subaru was no longer flustered by Rem, who had no intentions of hiding her feelings. While he felt his embarrassment redden his face, Subaru let out a small sigh, "......If you had died, I would've gone to die as well."

"Wah. For you to go that far for me, Rem must be a fortunate girl."

"Well, jokes aside."

Answering Rem's laughter, Subaru responded with an emotionless lie. Had she been lost, Subaru would've surely redone the world. Even if he was not given the opportunity to start over, he would've no doubt challenged it. It was because Rem's presence had occupied that much of Subaru's heart.

"Well, you absolutely better not die."

"Naturally.  Even if I die, I won't let myself die." (vague, could swap out "I" with "you")

Their faces closed in, and they stared at each other as they rested their forehead against one another.

"----Nya two, isn't it about time you finish up nya?"

He was appalled. Felix had waited afar until he had seen the two flirted a bit before interrupting the scene in a grandiose way. This is definitely a crime.
