  1. Chapter 1 - The valley of questions
  2. Cofan, (Raven's real or birth name) was born at the end of 14th century, in a village belonging to the Carutana tribe, located somewhere in the jungles of Amazon. At the early ages, Cofan was a short and bright child, but he wasn't so brave as the tribe elders would've expected, therefore, since he was teased and made fun of within the tribe, he dedicated himself into learning stuff about his tribe's history and traditions. Since his father was the shaman of the village, he's learnt a lot about herbs and tried to satisfy his father by doing his chores and being respectful. At the age of 12 years, all of the kids in the Carutana tribe were supposed to pass an endurance-survival trial, in which they were given some basic tools and left into the wilderness for an entire week, with the purpose of survival. Cofan, used his knowledge and while other participants of the trial begun to look for food, he started by crafting shelter to keep predators away. The Amazon was a very dangerous place, therefore the trial was crucial and very hard for a kid, fortunately, Cofan's gathering skills helped him find edible plants within the jungle, allowing him to survive for a while. Cofan's shelter was built in a cave, on a high rock about ten miles away from the village. The sun nearly set, so Cofan decided to return to the shelter, bringing some logs for a fire to keep himself warm, when he entered the cave, he placed the logs down and begun to hit two rocks into each other, waiting for a spark to light the fire, that's when he heard a loud noise, a jaguar-like noise which terrified him. He dropped the rocks and swiftly moved behind one of the rocks, peaking over at the valley.
  3. The sun nearly set, revealing him only shadow-like figures, he couldn't see them properly, and it looked like an illusion, but Cofan knew it was real. As Cofan became curious, he decided to exit his hideout and have a closer look at the scene. By the time Cofan came, there was already a ferocious fight going between a medium-sized animal and a female. Her hair was literally floating as she fought the animal, the animal kept trying to bite her, but she resisted, and in the end, she grabbed the animal's (which seemed like a jaguar) mouth, and yelled loudly as she pulled it with strength, killing it.
  4. Cofan was even more curious, and got closer, exiting the cave in a sneaky way. He saw the woman bending over to the animal, placing her head close to the animal's neck, at first he thought she was kissing the jaguar or something, but then he realized she's not moving. Since Cofan thought she died, she looked for a minute or two, then went down, moving slowly towards the woman. As he got closer, the woman heard him and turned around, showing her fangs as she hissed, which pretty much scared the shit outta Cofan, which simply stood there, looking at her as if he was paralysed. The woman then ran off, jumping over a bush, she disappeared into the shadows.
  5. Chapter 2 - Searching for the truth
  6. In the next morning, Cofan ran back to the village, where he wasn't expected yet, when he entered the village, he was greeted by the chief of the tribe with disrespected, for failing the test, which wasn't any of Cofan's concerns at the moment.
  7. He was summoned home, where he was beaten by his father for bringing shame on the family lineage. Of course, nobody believed Cofan's tail, and everyone laughed when he told them about the supernatural woman with snake fangs which killed a jaguar without a single weapon. Everyone made fun of him and he got isolated from the tribe. Cofan didn't cared much about their thoughts, and continued his search for the mythical woman, researching caves and listening to all kind of myths which would lead him to her, but everything was unsuccessful.
  8. At the age of 19, he sneaked past the guards and left the village, moving to the cave he first saw the woman. Cofan enjoyed hunting a lot, so he no longer had issues with survival. He stood at the cave for a week and a half, annoyed and disappointed by the fact that he hasn't seen anything suspicious, decided to return to the village.
  9. When he climbed on the cliff which reveals the village, he saw dark thick smoke from the tribe's direction, when he entered the village, he saw bodies all around him, women and children slaughtered and only a couple survivors burning their dead folks. He was told that the village was attacked by their nemesis tribe, and that most of the warriors have yet to return from the counter-attack. The Carutana tribe was victorious, and everyone was celebrating the victory, except for Cofan, who's father was killed during the assault. Since Cofan was the only son in his family, he became the shaman of the tribe, while his only friend became the chief. The murder of his father, forced Cofan to stop searching for an explanation of the illusion and focus more on important things related to the tribe. At the early age of 25, he was enforcing the traditions of the tribes and rules among with the chief over the village.
  10. Chapter three - The embrace
  11. After 15 years since the mythical appearance, Cofan decided to use his power in the tribe and continue his search, getting a lead which pointed at a tribe a hundred miles North. His old passion relighted up, and that spark of hope made him pursue his old goal, Cofan, besides her mother's wish of staying, took his bow and left the tribe, with the thought of returning to prove he wasn't wrong, and regain his honor within the tribe. Days passed and Cofan went through the amazonian forest, heading north in attempt to chase an illusion he's been following fore fifteen years.
  12. He entered the town, and saw skulls and scalps pinned on wooden stakes, bones thrown into the street and blood everywhere. As soon as he walked the village soil, two guards approached him from behind and knocked him out with a strong hit from behind.
  13. In the next morning, he awakened in a small hut, with some herbs covering his neck, he felt a sharp pain on his neck, and as he placed his hand on the back of his neck, he felt something as if he was bitten by a cobra. Terrified, he got up and tried to leave the hut, but was stopped at the exit, and brought to the main hall, where a man and a woman were sitting on two rocks shaped like thrones. He was forced to bend, then the woman spoke to him, asking if he's willing to test his luck in a few tests which would lately decide his fate. Cofan, scared and not exactly having a choice, accepted to complete the trials.
  14. The first trial, was an acrobatics route through the woods, with many traps and obstacles on the way, which Cofan completed pretty easily. The second trial, was a marksmanship test, where he had to hit several targets using a spear. While the first two trials were easy, more or less, the third trial was the hardest test he had to face. Cofan was given a silver knife-shaped weapon, and had to face the male ghoul in melee combat. The woman, which was later recognized by Cofan as being the kindred he met 15 years ago, exited the hut and looked around at the amount of scalps around her. Briefly, she looked at Cofan, rendering fear in his eyes, then with a loud voice gave the signal to start the battle.
  15. As soon as she raised her hand, drums begun to be heard and random loud yells from the native americans, which were apparently enjoying the fight Cofan was supposed to loose. The ghoul attacked first, his strength and size weren't normal, giving him a huge advantage in the battle. He kicked Cofan at the line of the circle which marked the battle ring with a single sweep, then came closer and tried to kick his head, killing him. The ring was surrounded by spears, projected towards the middle of the circle, giving Cofan no place to run. As the ghoul approached, Cofan managed to gather his forces and roll below the ghoul's leg, then with all of his strength, he kicked the ghoul towards the spears, which passed through his chest, immobilizing him. The ghoul's last words were "I failed you, master", then he gave his last breath and died.
  16. The woman stood up, surprised and somewhat annoyed that her servant was killed, and after looking briefly at the injured Cofan, turned around and left, motioning her guards to bring Cofan to the hall. At the main hall, she stood up from her chair, and as Cofan was bending, she said : "For decades, i've been looking for brave men willing to accept my trials, those who did, died in the first parts, those who survived, got killed by my ghoul, yet you... you have proven that what i've been looking for actually exists, and for you passed my trials, i am willing to give you a gift, you cannot refuse it, nor can you be too happy to receive it, yet it will change your life forever". Within seconds, she appeared behind his back and inserted her fangs into his neck, draining him out of blood. After a couple moments, she gave some of her blood, which entered Cofan's organism and started to change it, getting rid of un-needed organs.
  17. Chapter 4 - Damned life.
  18. Years passed since then, and Cofan fully embraced the kindred's gift, he learnt a lot from her sire, and understood why things like that should be kept in secret from other tribes. Together, they were demigods among humans, they ruled the tribe and made sure nobody would dare attack. On their free-time, Cofan learnt thy disciplines from his sire, and didn't realized that half a century has passed. People around them were aging and dying, only they remained young and alive, guiding the generations of humans through decades.
  19. Another thirty years passed, and in the village came three men, all of them young looking, with yellow-red suits. They entered the village and came straight to the main hall, they knew Cofan's language, and weren't bothered by the fact that Cofan and the woman were kindred. They introduced themselves as the Camarilla, which were welcomed to stay for a couple years. Everything changed when the Spaniards begun to attack the tribes, pushing natives away and even enslaving them. That got the woman really pissed off, and she, with Cofan's help, attacked the Camarilla representatives. The fight didn't last long, Cofan was grabbed and immobilized by two of the kindred, while their leader handled the woman right in front of Cofan.
  20. With a swift attack, the Camarilla kindred decapitated Cofan's sire, then came to him, prepared to do the same thing, but then he stopped, he had second thoughts, maybe for a reason. He let Cofan live, and then fell back into the woods, disappearing.
  21. Chapter 5 - Wrong alliance ?
  22. Cofan left the village shortly after his sire's death, in pursue of the Camarilla kindred. He wasted more than a century in search of revenge, the thought of paying for his sire's blood drove him crazy, and Cofan figured out that there's another sect fighting the Camarilla, he aided the Sabbat in their fight against the Camarilla, and hoped to find peace by avenging his sire.
  23. Years passed, and the Sabbat offered him leads, some of them turning out to be dead ends, yet... one by one, the camarilla killers fell, they got ashed one by one, until the third. When he finally got his revenge, Cofan realized that revenge wasn't so sweet, and that he should pursue other goals. He didn't break the sabbat alliance, but decided to use some of their power to gain knowledge. In the end, he ended up knowing three languages, including his natal one. Later in that decade, Cofan was summoned in a war to drive out the Camarilla out of Mexico, but he refused brutally, and therefore the Sabbat turned against him as well. He was pursued by the sabbat to the Northern border of Mexico, then to American borders, where Cofan finally lost them as he entered what today is known as Canada.
  24.
  25. Decades passed, and at the end of 20th century, Cofan adapted to the new civilization rules and orders. He decided to stay aside from his bloodline traditions, and follow the Masquerade and Camarilla concepts. In 1993, he was drawn to San Andreas, Red County.
