+Linausable __ Hello and welcome. Please take the time to read this reply and respond to it. While it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance is seems as though you have been consuming "anti conspiracy theorist" propaganda and are repeating what someone else has said which sounded good to you.

What you have outlined may apply to other "conspiracy theorists" and for other oddities/anomalies they point out *but it does not apply* to Lesta and this presentation.

Have you much experience with stage magic and perceptual magic? Do you think that magic tricks are performed only at "magic shows" where everyone in the audience is cognisant of the situation?

*Please pay attention to the following:* Either "Kanzi" the "talking bonobo" *cannot* perform the task set by "Sue Savage-Rumbaugh" and thus *needed* to be presented in the *specialised manner* I pointed out *OR* "Kanzi" the "talking bonobo" *can* perform the task but was *intentionally* presented to us in a *specialised manner* that forced the audience to *trust* the claims being made about "Kanzi".

You may need to read over the above more than once before it sinks in.

No one in the audience - _not even you_ - saw anything that necessarily *proved* the claim made about "Kanzi". What claim? The claim that "Kanzi" routinely pushed the correct button *after* hearing a spoken word.

You may think that's what you saw happen - _but you did not._

*Your imagination filled in the blanks and you concocted a story that conformed to the claim made (which you trust is true and genuine).*

To maintain your reality-based fantasy about "Kanzi" your natural intelligence has invented "plausible explanations" to disregard the observations I made which have challenged your belief.

Since I don't have all day to get you up to speed with the lie system I'll ask of you the following:

Suppose a scientist were skeptical of the claims made about "Kanzi" by "Sue Savage-Rumbaugh" and wanted to be *certain* that there were no shenanigans. What might that scientist *need to see* in order to remove his skepticism?

For example - if "Kanzi" is genuinely responding to each spoken word and pressing the correct button then what is the harm (and what is the difficulty!) in seeing the speaker's mouth articulate each word *before* "Kanzi" presses the correct button?

_Just to be certain that "Kanzi" is indeed responding to the actual word we hear spoken and rule out any possibility for magic tricks._

It is likely that you are approaching this topic from a position of ignorance. Have you *ever* seen *any* footage of "Kanzi" correctly responding to spoken words where the speaker's mouth was *clearly visible*? Or are you *assuming* that such footage must exist because it is inconceivable to you that anyone would lie about it?

Do you imagine that "Oprah" would never perpetuate such a lie to you - therefore any criticism levelled against the *presentation* of "Kanzi" must be unfounded?

Tell me - if "Kanzi" can indeed perform the task set then don't you think by now there would be footage of the general public speaking words to "Kanzi" and the bonobo then pressing the correct button?

Or do you imagine that "Kanzi" is able only to respond to his trainer/caretaker?
