  1. Camille's eyes blinked open. A red 4:43 stared back at her. She sighed out and shifted under the smoky grey covers slightly- relishing the feel of silk over her bare skin. Slowly, she turned to the figure next to her, a sleepy smile pulling at her soft lips as she traced his silhouette out in the moonlight that filtered through the curtains over their bed. The brunette pushed her elbow into the mattress to prop herself up, gazing down at him- viridian eyes warm. Her thumb brushed around the ring on her finger before she used her hand to sweep back some of his bangs. He just… looked so peaceful when he was asleep. Her eyes drank in every curve, fingertips following until they stopped on his chest, fanning out. Her own heart skipped a beat as she felt his pulse beneath her skin. She could have started to tremble. Any day, it felt like she could awaken and this would all be a dream. But… it was a reality. The best reality. Theodore Lowell was all hers. Oh great. There she went, getting misty eyed all over again! They'd been married for what-? Six months and the honeymoon feelings hadn't stopped. She doubted they ever would. With every breath he took, her heart fluttered. It was amazing how just the simple rise and fall of his chest made the world feel at peace. Like she could handle anything that was thrown at them. She pushed herself onto both hands- the sheets sliding down her back- hair waterfalling over her slender shoulders as she hovered over her slumbering husband. Nothing but moonlight and air between them. The world felt still. Surely time had stopped just for her. Just for her to have this moment. Just so that she could be encompassed in this singular feeling of serenity. She barely lowered herself and let her lips meet his forehead. She tucked his hair behind his ear before looking up at the soft sound of babbling drifting through the baby monitor. She laughed slightly under her breath. Of course- of course Benjamin would wake up too. The Vermonter removed herself carefully, so as not to stir him awake and smoothed the sheets out. Quietly, she tiptoed into the nursery and gently cradled him up into her arms. "Hello beautiful." She cooed softly, letting her fingers brush through his wispy curls. What a beautiful boy. "Mama's got you." She sat down in the rocking chair and crossed her legs, propping her son up to lay his head on her chest. It would be impossible for their hearts not to beat as one now.
