  1. Though it was still January and winter still had it's grip firmly on the land, I counted my blessings to have a long enough lull in the biting cold to be able to go outside for the day. Especially on today. I mean who would want to spend their birthday's indoors on a day like this right? The cold never bothered me anyway. I let out a faint chuckle as that thought passed though my head, adjusting my coat and rolling my shoulders as I make my way to the park one hand carrying a paper bag with doughnuts and three cups of still hot chocolate and the other hand carrying a box decorated in red and white wrapping paper.
  2.
  3. "The cold never bothered me anyway~♪"
  4.
  5. That song was a real earworm when your girlfriend sings it every chance she gets. I didn't mind it so much, because it was so cute how into it she got when she did. Her twin sister on the other hand? She hated it, probably hated me even more for picking that particular movie to go watch on our date a month or so back. Well hopefully I can make it up to her today. If not I, was positive she was going to find a way to kill me by shooting those glares of hers my way.
  6.
  7. Even then I wasn't going to let that spoil this day as I advance into the park playfully letting out a deep breath just to see the cloud of fog it produced. Just a short little distraction before I meet the two of them at our usually spot, a park bench situated before the currently frozen pond. Getting closer, I see some people had taken to chance to get some staking done while the weather was nice enough to be out in, but not warm enough to impact the quality of the ice.
  8.
  9. I scan the frozen pond and quickly spot a young woman in dressed purely in white. A large white coat, white mittens, white leggings, and white stakes with only her golden shoulder length hair to add any colour to the outfit, gliding across the ice with all the grace and precision of a pro unhindered by the heavy winter ware she had on. My girlfriend, Ryōna. I knew she wouldn't miss a change to go staking out here, and I wouldn't miss the chance to watch her do it. It was enchanting to see her in her element like this, lunging, jumping, and twirling in time with orchestra only she heard playing her motions were a work of art that demanded the attention of those around her. It was what first lured me to her all that time ago, to make that awful pick-up line about heaven missing an angel, I still thank what ever benevolent force was watching over me that she took the horrid line in stride and even seemed to like it.
  10.
  11. Keeping my eyes glued on her performance whole I walked up the bench, I greeted the angel's devilish twin sister with a smile and a wave. In contrast to her sister's all while attire, she wore red and black with only bits of white. A heavy red coat with white fur trim on the hood, black mittens, and long black skirt that hid her own white leggings but showed off her red boots. Her long brown hair tied into two long twintails hung behind her and over the back rest of the bench. I never did understand why she kept it that long, it must be a pain to maintain.
  12.
  13. "Hey Ryōbi."
  14.
  15. And there were the eyes, the same blue and green jewels that her sister had (in opposite arrangement) shooting me a foul look of scorn for a brief moment. Yikes, that one felt like an actually bullet to the chest, she was getting closer. "Hey yourself." With the curt response she turns her eyes away from me and back to her sister who was still on the ice. Ryōbi never did mention any desire to stake herself, but I think when she saw Ryōna out there like she had fleeting second thoughts. It was probably more enjoyable then freezing her rear off on a park bench.
  16.
  17. Well I had something to alleviate that at least.
  18.
  19. "I brought hot chocolate and doughnuts." I said as I reached into the bag and passed a cup over to her. She takes it and pops open the tab on the lid to take a quick sip of it to bring some warmth back into her body. They've probably been out here for a bit. Once she finishes her sip, Ryōbi glances my way once more.
  20.
  21. "Chocolate icing with sprinkles?"
  22.
  23. "Just as you ordered." I place the bag between us as I take a seat allowing her to rummage through it for the sweet chocolate 'O' she desired so. I kept the wrapped box on my lap so it wouldn't get wet in the snow and for safe keeping from Ryōbi prying eyes.
  24.
  25. "Good, you're not totally hopeless after all." That was about as much of a 'thank you' I'd get out of her for now. But I've learned to take it in stride, she's a bit rough in the way she talks to people but she's a nice person once you know her long enough. And don't get her sister to annoy her with songs she hates. Speaking of, it seems Ryōna has spotted me and quickly got off the ice to greet me. Off with her stakes and on with her equally white boots in record speed, the marry girl skips towards us with her usual cat like smile beaming on her face.
  26.
  27. "Hauuuuuuuuu~ Anon is here!" With that proclamation, Ryōna quickly closes the gap between us and envelops me in a hug, 25% resting my head on her collar bone and 75% burring it in her soft (unfortunately still covered) chest. I had learned to take deep breaths when meeting her while she had the high ground and simply waited it out while hugging her back. Just as expected, she allowed me to breath again by pulling away and awaited my greeting to her as if it was a gift unto itself.
  28.
  29. "Hey Angel, having fun on the ice?" Ryōna let out a sweet giggle at the name and Ryōbi rolled her eyes in silent disgust as she chomped down on her doughnut as much as her biting comments. While my girlfriend loved the petname I gave her, her twin loathed it, and I took every chance to use it while she was around just to tease her a bit.
  30.
  31. Even out there dancing on the frozen pond for so long, Ryōna was still brimming with energy as she rocked from side to side where she stood. "Yup! I was practising some new moves I thought of yesterday and tried to incorporate them into my dance!"
  32.
  33. Those were new moves? Wow, they looked like second nature to her already. I gave her a warm smile feeling proud of her for her dedication to her staking and dance.
  34.
  35. "It was beautiful to watch, I couldn't take my eyes off of you when I got here."
  36.
  37. That elected even more wiggles from her out of delight. She always did like it when I give her compliments like that, which contrasted greatly with what she usually likes. But I'll never judge her for it, it just added another erotic element to her charm after all. The slight crinkle of paper on my lap as I adjusted my seating reminded me that I had something to still hand to them. And Ryōna hadn't even motioned it yet but I can tell she wanted to with her fidgeting and stealing glances at the wrapped package. How sweet, she was being such a good girl on her birthday.
  38.
  39. "Ok ok, I'll stop tormenting you now." I let out a small laugh as I offer the box to Ryōna who took with it enthusiastic glee before sitting between me and her sister so they could open the present together. Luckily I had gotten the bag if hot chocolate drinks and doughnuts out of the way before the blonde girl had sat right on it and possible burned her rear. Though thinking about what her reaction to it would be made me go red in the face for a moment before I shake it off. No no, not now this is their birthday, you can have those thoughts when you get home.
  40.
  41. Quick to regain my composure, I lean over to watch them open their gifts. It was a bit of a challenge figuring out exactly what to get them, but in the end I had confidence they'd like what they got.
  42.
  43. "Happy birthday you two."
  44.
  45. When opening the box, the two of them would find their gifts bond in red and white ribbon and a tag with their names on it. Ryōbi seemed genuinely surprised she got anything from me and glances back at me to see if this was a joke and I'd produce a bill or something. I simply smiled letting her know that this wasn't a prank and I actually got her something. It was her birthday too after all. The brunette gazed down at what she got and actually found herself smiling. I had gotten her a DVD collection of those crazy game shows she seemed to like. I remember a few times when I had the chance to visit her and Ryōna's place that she was watching the contestants go though some outrageous or sometimes downright humiliating challenges and get quite a bit of amusement out of it all. The second one was where she could have a more personal hand in the suffering of others world wide without ever leaving her couch, it was a copy of Super Mario Maker. Seems I appeased the sadist in her because seeing both of those made her eyes light up and she gave me a real smile for once.
  46.
  47. "Thanks Anon, I really like what you got me."
  48.
  49. Looks like I just got a buffer of forgiveness for what I got Ryōna...
  50.
  51. "Aaaaah, Anon! You got me Frozen!
  52.
  53. Had. Had a buffer of forgiveness. That furious glare from her told me she finally realized my ploy and would one day kill me when she was absolutely sure her sister wasn't there to stop her. I'll have to be on my guard.
  54.
  55. "And...! Dark Souls!"
  56.
  57. "Yeah, figured you want to give it a spin for yourself after you saw me play it."
  58.
  59. She tried it once or twice herself too, and seemed to like the... punishing difficulty of the game. Never seen someone so happy to fight the Capra Demon before. Now turning to face me, Ryōna gave me a peck on the cheek happy with what she got.
  60.
  61. "Thank you Anon, it was sweet of you to get something for me and my sister."
  62.
  63. "Well, it is both your birthdays right? It'd be unfair to only give one of you something."
  64.
  65. I didn't mind either, even if Ryōbi hates my guts on and off. With that now done, I offer Ryōna a doughnut and some hot chocolate before she ran off and lets it get too cold. And so we sat there, enjoying the strange birthday meal in the middle of the park. But I don't think either of them minded, they were just happy to have someone out here who could be out here with them.
  66.
  67. "The cold never bothered me anyway~♪"
  68.
  69. "~Let it gooooo, let it gooooo
  70. I am one with the wind and sky
  71. Let it gooooooo, let it gooooo~♪"
  72.
  73. "GOD DAMN IT YOU TWO!!"
