Republic Pilots Handbook

This is Commander Nova's handbook to the Republic Pilots!

Anyway I wish you luck and I suggest reading all of the info below.

Alright, so your probably wondering what do we do in pilot tryouts so I'll explain what we do.

You will be ran through a course, this will usually go around/under the ship and lead into main hanger, you are to go through the circles, they are No-collided so the ship should go right through if your a good , if you don't know how to fly I suggest leaving and learning on a single-player world before trying out.

Pilots are required to use ts3 to communicate with each other, if you don't have a mic just join and listen to what other pilots are saying, I suggest that you add me on steam "GandalfTheHipster" so you can notify me of your absence, 2 days of inactivity without notifying me will result in a kick from the regiment.

The ships you will be flying are one of these four; the Headhunter, the Liberator, The LAAT or the Y-Wing. The Headhunter and Liberator are dogfighters and are meant for attack, the Y-wing is similar but features bombing capability and the LAAT is a passive troop transport.

Expectations:

I expect you not to minge or be annoying during the tryouts.
I also expect you to know how to fly, this was stated before.
If you end up making it and I get reports of you being a minge you will be kicked out of pilot, I also expect you to follow all the server rules, I expect you to be active.

2 days in Inactiveness without notifying me you will be kicked out, as stated before.

I expect you to be on Ts3 so other pilots can communicate with each other, we have a ts3 channel called "Republic Pilots" there is no password.

Ranks:

Recruit-
First Phase of pilot, if you end up making it you will become a recruit, this is where your going through extensive training to eventually become a cadet, I have been told recruits are not meant to fly until they become cadets so if there is enough pilots you will be flying, if there is to many you will not be flying.

Cadet
Once you finish the recruit phase this means your safe from being kicked, all expectations still apply, You can fly all ships, you cannot order other pilots around.
Officer
You have my trust on setting up pilot tryouts, I must be watching over though, I'll assist in needed EG. No clipping and setting up a course outside the ship, you can host the tryouts if I give the permission.
LT Jr
You are aloud to order other pilots around once notifying me, you cannot hand promotions but you can notify me of other pilots doing good work.
LT
You are aloud to host training without Nova, please just steam message me before doing them and give me feedback of the other pilots and how they are doing/did.
Captain
You are aloud to promote, we should only ever have 3 Captains, you have my trust to do training and tryouts, notify me if your doing tryouts as I will tell you how many pilots we need.
Commander
Well, Commander Runs the pilots.


Pilots are going to be having a new rule put in place soon, the 3 strike policy, I will have your name on a document with your in game name so I can keep record, once hit 3 strikes you will be kicked out of pilots, crashing and flying related stuff does not apply for this, it is a record of when you have been a minge/annoying to other pilots, I will end up making it so they remove after 2-4 days.

The higher officers have more expectations.

The current officers are the best of the best, listen to them and learn from them, as I said before, my Mic tends to cut so I chose to write all the info you need on a pastebin, We are going to have a max of 8 Pilots so we are looking for one more pilot…
