  1. Title – ‘Chief 365; Bet In Play Now!’
  2. The brief explains that the film is a good guys versus bad guys hostage situation as such it could follow the basic Todorov structure of “Normality, Disruption, and Resolution” to present its narrative.
  3. The brief explains that the characters are spoof characters that shouldn’t be taken seriously as such we can stereotype them to be standard “good and bad guys” and make them a spoof with ridiculous outfits and accents that could be considered out of the ordinary for the genre.

The Audience for the film will be 12 – 16 year old Males from Britain as we found out that spoofs are popular with that group of people more than any other; some of these films can include: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Shaun of the Dead, Spaceballs, and Johnny English. While one or two of these films may be rated lower than a 12 they still can entertain that age more so than the younger ones. The Cockney accents will appeal to a British audience more as those who cannot understand it may lose some enjoyment from their viewing or become disinterested. The likeliness of a British person understanding a Cockney accent is higher than those in say the United States or countries where English is a second language as such it can appeal to British the most. The Cockeny accents show it may be set in Britain, which a British person may like more.

  8. For Internal Institutional Factors we could not disrupt any classes, we had to borrow/buy costumes and props, and use the equipment we had in school: camera, tri-pod, boom mic, tape, editing software, etc.
  9. In class we had to write a script to follow, draw storyboards, and have recces get the permissions we needed to film around the school.

  12. We split into three separate groups: Script Writers, Storyboard Artists, and Location Recces.
  13. Script Writers wrote parts of the script and then passed it on to the Storyboard Artists, who then, drew up the scene to give an idea of what the misè en scene would look like from the Director’s vision of the script. While all of these processes were taking place, the Location Recces would scout around the school and book locations for us to film in the near future when finished with the Script and Storyboards. While looking for locations they also borrowed costumes and props from the Drama department for use in the film.

  17. My roles in the production and filming was Storyboard Artist and Talent.
  18. As the Storyboard Artist I drew up what each scene may look like to give a visual representation of the script.
  19. As one of the Talent I played the character of Arnie whom was the hero of the film
