  1. Pabst looks up at the sky, lost. Namek had been eerily quiet recently. Knowing from his limited travels the various types of creatures prawling through the galaxy, he couldn't help but interpret that as a bad sign. Ayumu was an ally for now, but who knows when his alliegiance will run dry. Shivers crawled up his back when thinking back to what he had said about the man who grew him the magical beans.
  2. Slowly mozying back from the temple balcony, Pabst had something of an idea. He had been working on materializing items with his own Ki for a while now. Usually, the item was used for more practical purposes, such as weights for training, or a simple blade for easy protection, but Pabst wondered what would happen if he poured his Ki into a set of incredibly dense spheres. The Ki inside them could be used as some form of barrier over Namek, or possibly consume the balls for extra energy. Regardless of what exactly they would be used for, Pabst decided to give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen?
  3. After finally making it back to the throne room, Pabst decided to focus on making these spheres. Sitting cross-legged with his hands positioned in such a way that the empty space formed a small sphere, he began to focus on the point in between his hands. A tiny pinhead of orange light starts to form, before growing larger. when it reaches the limits of his hands, Pabst pushes inwards, forcing the newly generated Ki inwards. The sphere glistens as it grows more and more opaque, before a small star forms in the center. Pabst removes one of his hands from the ball, gazing at the fresh orb with great hope.
  4. Pabst decided he would make seven of these orbs, each with a coresponding amount of stars in the center. Each orb would drain him of nearly all of his Ki, so Pabst would have to rest in between each orb. Hours and hours passed by before Pabst finally burst open the throne room doors, a large sack full of glimmering orange orbs in tote behind him.
  5. V2
  6. Sitting on the sand outside the temple, looking down upon the orbs he had just willed into existence, Pabst let out a sigh. Picking one up, he stares into it deeply. 5 deep-orange stars rest in the center, in a tightly packed circle. Slowly examining the orb, he spotted a dull point on the orb. Taking his finger, he flicked the dull point, and much to his surprise, the orb chipped! Frantically looking at each of the other orbs, he found similar dull spots on every orb. Pabst took the sack, angrily thrust all the orbs in, and dropped them into the water. They were useless.
  7. Pabst was at wit's end. He had no idea where to go from here. But still, Namek needed something to protect them from the dangers that loomed ahead. Looking up at the sky once more, he wondered why the orbs he had created had chipped. Had he not put enough Ki into them? Or was it something else? He sat there and pondered for a while. Feeling the sand wiggle it's way through his toes on the beach, he thought of the journey each grain of sand had made to make it's way to this beach. Namek was more than just the people, it was the whole of the planet. Each looming tree, each rolling hill, every single grain of sand, that was the spirit of Namek.
  8. Suddenly, an idea springs forth into his mind. Maybe if he were to create the orbs in various locations that captured the "Spirit of Namek" and enshrine them there, then maybe, just MAYBE they could provide some form of protection to that area? Once again, Pabst decided to set off on a quest to protect his homeland.
  9. The first location Pabst had encountered was a thin stretch of land, a lake to the south, and a large ocean to the north. Small blue flowers littered the green stretch of land, contrasted by the green bodies of water to the north and the south. Pabst sat in the middle of the flower-infested field, and put his hands into the same position as before. Suddenly, a gust of wind flows past. Pabst's eye's widen as the sky begins to darken. Something must be different than the last time. He decides to concentrate further on the land around him. The wind begins to pick up again as a light pierces it's way out of Pabst's hands, painting the surroundings in a deep orange light. The flowers touched by the light begin to experience rapid multiplication. What was once a turquoise field was now painted blue.
  10. The ball begins to surge forth from the light, pouring into his hands, before taking a solid shape, much denser than the last orb. This time, the sphere floats out of Pabst's palms and above the field, glowing with a similar light to when it was created, sky still darkened. A sense of urgency was instilled in Pabst, however, as the light seemed to be dimming, ever so slowly.
  11. Pabst decides to rush to the next area. Kicking off of the ground, he flies northwest into the vast ocean of Namek, finding a calm spot, before floating into position right above the water. A small whirlpool begins to form underneath him as he begins focusing his Ki into his hands. The sky darkened in a similar fashion as the same orange light bathes the ocean below him. The more Ki he pours into the creation, the more the ocean below warps. Twisting and turning, forming cyclones around Pabst before calming down as the orb solidifies. It floats out of Pabst's hands and remains there above the ocean, glowing. Now was not the time to relax, however, and Pabst rushes on to the next location, leaving a wake in the ocean below him as he travels.
  12. Pabst notices a large field, filled with multicolored bushes as far as the eye could see. Figuring this a suitable location for the next orb, he perches atop one of the trees, sitting on the top of it's bush-like branches. Beginning the process once again, the tree's branches begin to overgrow, creating a basic seat on the tree, as the branches below form erratically. As the ball forms, the leaves on the tree flow through each individual season, turning yellow before falling off and growing anew once more. As this happens, the ball pours out of the void and into his hands, resonating with the trees and bushes in the field, floating there, glowing. Just as quickly as he came there, he trailed off into the distance.
  13.
  14. The next area was just outside the temple, in a small forest. The trees were packed together like sardines, but Pabst still flew right into the thick of it all, quickly maneauvering into postition. As he began to focus his Ki, the tree branches began forming a large sphere around Pabst, similar to an egg. The sound of cracking branches fills what little air was around him, the last sources of natural light fading, being replaced by the familiar orange glow. This orb materialized much quicker, and when it began floating on it's own, a clearing in the branches opened up above him, letting him leave the branch-egg, the orb calmly floating in the middle of it. Pabst would leave the orb in this area, off to find the next.
  15. Standing out amongst the rest of the scenery, a small river forms into a waterfall with whirlpools swirling about in the water below. Pabst rests at the top of the waterfall, beginning to form the next ball. The same orange glow permeates the area, causing small river to reverse flow, sending the water below flowing up the waterfall. As the orange light intensifies, the whirlpools begin to jut out of the water, reversing flow in a similar fashion to the waterfall. The orb flows into existence like the others, floating above the waterfall, glowing dimly. Pabst would rush off once more, the dimness of the latest ball a bit worrisome.
  16. Pabst found a large bridge, connecting one of many small islands to the mainland. Surrounding the bridge were large rocks jutting out of the water, creating a pathway for the bridge. Floating a short distance above one of the larger rocks, Pabst would begin to form the next ball. The orange light covered the rocks, as crystalline structures began to puncture the surface of the rock, refracting strange patterns onto the water. The crystals began piercing out at an increased pace as a small piece of rock flew into the source of the orange light before morphing into the second to last ball. There was no time to waste, the dimming light of the newly formed ball was already blinking in and out. Pabst would hurry to the final location.
  17. The last location was at the bottom of a sheer cliff face, waves frantically crashing into the towering wall. Pabst would rest about twenty feet above the water, starting the orb creation process again. As the orange light spilled out, the waves began to rise, spraying a fine mist into the air that was illuminated especially well by the familiar orange glow. The waves kept growing and growing until they were splashing all around Pabst and onto the cliff face behind him. Suddenly, the mist coalesced into a spherical shape in his hands, before solidifying into the final orb.
  18. The already dimmed sky was painted a dark shade of black as the last orb flew into the air, glowing brighter than any before it. Just as quickly as it formed, it barrelled off into the horizon, seemingly in the direction of the temple. A large dragon had materialized in the distance, it's tail flowing from the ground into it's large body. The view was mesmerizing, to say the least. To think that all the time he put into this wasn't for nothing...!
  19. As Pabst began to fly towards the dragon, it dispersed into a billion tiny yellow shards, the orbs scattering to their respective birthplaces. Whatever just happened, it was something that could protect this planet from great strife, or bring it great strife... This power must be protected at all costs. But for now, Pabst thought it best to enshrine each of these balls, to make them easier to protect. As he was flying back to the temple, his lack of power began to show itself, and he would crash into a large tree, passing out buried in the branches.
