11. Brief History:
12. Capellanus was born on the 13th of April. Capellanus was born while his parents were living in Tihr. His youth was peacefull and his parents were quite rich. Capellanus grew up in Tihr, he had quite a lot of friends and family around him to take care of him whenever needed. The friend of his father, Nelian, would make his life perfect at one point, however, he would ruin it afterwards.
13.
14. When he aged 5, he became the page of his father's best friend, Nelian, Nelian was good to him, this is a reason why he liked everything, he thought. However, Capellanus had a strong disliking against his own father, who was a honourless man at times. Capellanus had great fear towards his father, which he never shared with anyone but Nelian. Nelian was a man that you could trust. A honest, friendly person. Nelian was a rich man. He had hired someone to teach Capellanus how to read and write. Capellanus' writing isn't good, however, he can write if needed. He knows how to read, as this mainly what he was taught, writing just came along with it.
15.
16. As he aged 8, he went to another town, not far from Tihr. He travelled there with his parents and a friend of them. The friend was Nelian, whom Capellanus was page of.
17. While travelling, they met a strange, yet interesting man. The man seemed quite a friendly person, at least to Capellanus. Capellanus had a quick talk with the man, even though his father was drunk and mad that day, and had made Capellanus upset earlier the day, Capellanus enjoyed the conversation, which made his mood better. However, every conversation has an end. Capellanus had to take his leave and say farewell to the man, after which Capellanus and the other people continued their road to the town.
18.
19. After a few days of travelling, Capellanus arrived at the town with the other people. The town was built next to a big lake, which made the town stink of fish, as it was the main food in town.
20. In the town, which Capellanus and the other people were at, there was a man about to be executed. Nelian had planned on doing it himself. For Capellanus it was horrible to see, especially on such a young age. Capellanus didn't like to see blood, not to imagine what he'd think when he saw a man die, the head being chopped off, blood just going out of the neck and head.
21. After Capellanus listened over conversations of several villagers of the town, he heard all of them say that the man was a rapist. Capellanus had no idea what a rapist was back then, however he thinks back to it in disgust. He can't even think about raping a woman, as it is honourless in his eyes.
22.
23. During Capellanus' visit in the town, a few days after the man was executed, Capellanus saw a poor man. As young as Capellanus was, he had no idea that there were poor people out there, he has always had a good life, with much food and good clothing. Capellanus walked up to the beggar and talked a bit to him, not knowing what the man could be up to. His father warned him, because beggars often robbed children or women. Capellanus didn't get what his father meant, because Capellanus has never actually seen a robbery for his own, he had only heard about it.
24.
25. As Capellanus aged to the age of 15, he became the squire of Nelian. Capellanus felt like this position gave him power, as he saw a squire as knight in training. Capellanus turned in to a rude person, insulting people and so on. He had no idea what he did to those people, or whatever it would lead to. Capellanus thought it was normal to insult common people, because his father used to be rude all the time. In the period in which Capellanus was a squire, Nelian taught him how to ride an horse properly. Nelian, whom Capellanus was squire of, had a brown horse, which was one of the strongest horses in the city.
26.
27. After five years year, when Capellanus finally aged 20, Capellanus made a huge mistake by killing a man during a practice fight with steel swords, blocking hits, learning the sound of a proper block and what block would make the enemy unstable. Nelian got quite mad at Capellanus, because killing a man could cost a life. Nelian had decided not to keep him as a squire any longer.
28. Capellanus was sad because he thought it ruined his chance for knighthood, which is a thing he was really interested in. Capellanus used to drink lots of wine during the months after, as he had no idea what he had to do. The wine kept his head empty, which made him not think about the mistake he had made, which cost a man his life.
29.
30. After Capellanus got through this hard period in his life, he kept practicing with swords, he decided that he had to move on, it could've happened to anyone. As he was interested in fighting with swords, he taught himself what would be a deadly blow and what not. He had gone to a few tournaments which were around, which sometimes led to a death of another man. Because he knew how to write, he wrote down what places on the body were the best to injure someone and what places on the body were best to kill a man. Capellanus used to practice with swords most of the time, every day. During this time period, Capellanus got more used to fighting with a sword and he actually saw himself as a skilled swordsman.
31.
32. When Capellanus reached the age of 25, he tried out archery. Capellanus had just got back in contact with his father. His father had grown a liking in archery during the years that Capellanus was gone, so his father suggested Capellanus to try out a bow, as they would take down a running thief. His father had given Capellanus a short bow and a bag filled with barbed arrows.
33. He used the bow several times in about a time of two months. He used other ranged weapons, such as crossbows so now and then, however he didn't really like either the bow or crossbow, because it was cowardly in his opinion. He however liked throwing weapons. He saw those as something you had to grow skill in, not just release a string and shoot someone, you actually had to throw those yourself, which he thinks is not cowardly. Capellanus had practiced on throwing for some time. He had one throwing axe and one throwing spear, which was actually a normal spear with the end of the spear cut off, making it shorter. Capellanus' father had some interest in throwing as well, but he never managed to get better at it. His father was an old man, he was around 45 years back then. Capellanus used to practice three days a week, an hour a day with throwing weapons. He had grown a great interest in throwing, seeing it as one of the best way to get a running bandit down. Capellanus however never used it in a real fight, as he had never left his home area with throwing weapons.
34.
35. On the age of 28, Capellanus had reorganized his life and he became a Squire for the lord who went by the name of Misnes Pelanos. The lord didn't have a castle, so he often travelled around the lands of Calradia. He had around 7 guards present at any time and about 5 absent. Making it a total of 12 men. Capellanus saw Misnes as a mad man. From what Capellanus had seen, the lord Misnes was always raging on everyone and everything. There were rumours that Misnes would go out for a stroll at night, raping women he would find out in the woods, which were mostly women who were lost, while travelling around, heading to a town. Capellanus grew sick and tired of the insulting coming from the Lord and the rumours that were being spread. He had decided to leave a resignation note on the table of this lord Misnes. Capellanus put it on the table just right before he left. After leaving this note on the table, Capellanus didn't want anything to do with the man anymore. All that Capellanus could think of was run as far as he could, so Misnes wouldn't chase him down on horseback. He walked around Calradia for a while, not knowing where to, just trying to run from the lord. He had heard some rumours that a man called Pelanos had died, however, he didn't seek to get an answer to those rumours. He just wanted to have Pelanos out of his life, which he thought was working quite well. He didn't see the lord for years, and didn't plan on doing so anytime in his life.
36.
37. Now, after 4 years of running around through Calradia, he found an old friend,, who was also in services of Lord Misnes. The friend, whom went by the name of Petrus Buzar, was planning to sail towards the island, which was close to the location where they were resting. Petrus was a rich man, for a simple guard. His parents were dead, he has lived without parents since the age of twelve. As Capellanus was looking for a place to start a new live and Petrus was about to sail to Solgaard, Capellanus decided to join Petrus and go towards Solgaard with him.
