  1. Cheeseness
  2. So Violett and her family have moved to a house in the forest and she's not very happy about it
  3. 7:09 silverspork
  4. bummer
  5. is this like coraline meets spirited away?
  6. 7:10 Lightkey
  7. funny, that's just like the story I was reading earlier begins
  8. 7:10 Syd
  9. The setup is a little Coraline-y
  10. 7:10 Lightkey
  11. (David Weber's A Beautiful Friendship)
  12. 7:10liorean is totally ignorant about what Coraline is.
  13. 7:10 Cheeseness
  14. The game feels like it has heavy Through The Looking Glass influences as well
  15. 7:10 silverspork
  16. go ask alice when she was just small
  17. 7:10 Cheeseness
  18. Also, bear with me whilst I struggle with some of the game's "swipe" controls
  19. 7:10 Syd
  20. Coraline is a book, as well as a stop-motion film by Laika. The film is quite good.
  21. 7:11 Cheeseness
  22. There are a whole stack of journal pages scattered throughout the game that give you some backstory on some of the species/characters you encounter
  23. 7:13 liorean: Missed a few of those in last room
  24. The the colour globs and not journal pages, I mean
  25. 7:13 Mimness
  26. Those orbs become useful later.
  27. 7:14 Cheeseness
  28. There's not a lot of feedback on stuff that requires you to do something multiple times
  29. 7:14 liorean
  30. I haven't played far enough into the game to see that.
  31. 7:15 Cheeseness
  32. Like getting the fly out of the flypaper there
  33. 7:15 silverspork
  34. so you start off trapped in a cage and the first thing you do is trap something else?
  35. 7:15 Cheeseness
  36. Yeah… :D
  37. 7:15 liorean
  38. Yes indeed
  39. Escher
  40. 7:17 silverspork
  41. sigh you df guys and your obsession with being trapped in small enclosed spaces
  42. 7:17 Cheeseness
  43. heh
  44. That is one fragile toothbrush
  45. 7:18 liorean
  46. Yes indeed
  47. 7:18 Cheeseness
  48. Beaver-sharks. Sounds terrifying. Probably would be.
  49. 7:18 silverspork
  50. will some kind of hybrid man bear fonz jump them?
  51. 7:19 Cheeseness
  52. :D
  53. 7:19 Syd left the room (quit: Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client).
  54. 7:19 liorean
  55. They don't hear you, Violett!
  56. 7:19 Syd [Mibbit@hide-62697C31.hsd1.wv.comcast.net] entered the room.
  57. 7:19 flesk
  58. Hi there.
  59. 7:19 Sven_Q45
  60. The gameplays like Lilly Looking Through.
  61. 7:20 liorean
  62. Hej Fläsk!
  63. 7:20 Cheeseness
  64. Hey flesk
  65. 7:20 Sven_Q45
  66. We can play that too. ;)
  67. 7:20 silverspork
  68. holla
  69. 7:20 flesk
  70. Coraline is great.
  71. 7:20 Sven_Q45
  72. Hey that rhymes.
  73. 7:20 flesk
  74. I like pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman.
  75. 7:21 silverspork
  76. I didn't know who he was till an artist I follow on twitter posted one of his speeches at a graduation
  77. 7:21 liorean
  78. Gaiman stuff has charm, though licence products aren't always that good.
  79. 7:22 Mimness
  80. Thank goodness you only have to do this match thing twice now.
  81. 7:23 liorean
  82. Never read his Sandman stuff, but I like pretty much everything I have seen him do.
  83. 7:23 flesk
  84. Didn't they update quite a lot about the game after release?
  85. 7:23 silverspork
  86. looks like whoever is playing is going for the speed record
  87. 7:23 flesk
  88. I seem to recall reading that somewhere and wondered if I should give it another chance.
  89. 7:23 Cheeseness
  90. I'm streaming today ^_^
  91. 7:23 flesk
  92. Oh, I thought Mimness was streaming.
  93. liorean: Sandman is great.
  94. 7:24 Cheeseness
  95. I feel like the biggest turnoff for this game is the of you-don't-come-out-the-same-door-you-went-in maze things
  96. 7:24 Sven_Q45
  97. I knew it´s Cheese. Though no one told me that...
  98. 7:24 silverspork
  99. well idk who's who here obv
  100. 7:24 Mimness
  101. I was going to, but decided Cheese could have the honour. I'm just assisting.
  102. 7:24 Cheeseness
  103. ^_^
  104. 7:25 flesk
  105. Mimness: Helping him with all the tricky puzzles? ;)
  106. 7:25 Rayiner left the room (quit: Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client).
  107. 7:25 Cheeseness
  108. She's got a walkthrough for the silly maze bits
  109. 7:25 silverspork
  110. I am kind of surprised more people don't show up for this though
  111. 7:26 flesk
  112. Ah, right. This was one of the puzzles that I completed.
  113. 7:26 Cheeseness
  114. I guess Violett isn't that well known
  115. 7:26 Mimness
  116. There's one for the "dont' love" list: the amount of confusing doors in this game.
  117. 7:27 silverspork
  118. I think the optimal solution for slide puzzles is np complete right?
  119. 7:27 liorean
  120. Oh, I hadn't even noticed that anode-cathode matching puzzle
  121. 7:27 Cheeseness
  122. Game Club's one of those things where it's hard to know which games will be hit or miss
  123. 7:27 Sven_Q45
  124. I didn´t know Violett.
  125. 7:27 flesk
  126. Yeah, I didn't much care for that whole hub area either.
  127. 7:27 Cheeseness
  128. flesk: The worst one is later
  129. Also, how did that train turn around?
  130. 7:28 Syd
  131. I'm pretty sure we have a definite "hit" set as our next game, though. ;)
  132. 7:28 Cheeseness
  133. :D
  134. 7:28 liorean
  135. :)
  136. 7:28 Cheeseness
  137. Next being the first weekend in February
  138. We'll do two sessions of this one
  139. 7:29 liorean
  140. Next game is pretty well known and obviously all people here are going to be biased towards it.
  141. 7:29 Syd
  142. It'll be Grim Fandango Remastered, for those that haven't heard yet
  143. 7:29 Cheeseness
  144. :)
  145. 7:29 Sven_Q45
  146. Ah a few minutes ago I wanted to ask what´s next. :)
  147. 7:29 flesk
  148. I can hardly believe GFR releases in just a few days. Feels like the time went by so quickly.
  149. 7:29 Sven_Q45
  150. Yeah GF.
  151. 7:31 Mimness
  152. So the symbols you have to click on are scattered around the room.
  153. 7:31 flesk
  154. Another nail in the coffin for the "I believe it when I see it" crowd regarding Double Fine releases.
  155. 7:32 silverspork
  156. they are also sort of cymbals too
  157. 7:32 Cheeseness
  158. I don't think this is how hide and seek normally works
  159. 7:32 flesk
  160. I did this one too. The first room I did I think, besides the intro.
  161. 7:32 Glog78 [~Oknown_an@hide-AB6A5D39.pools.vodafone-ip.de] entered the room.
  162. 7:32 FhqwhDango
  163. well let's hope they release GFR in a great state
  164. 7:32 liorean
  165. I haven't actually finished any of the rooms. But then again, I haven't spent much time in the game yet.
  166. 7:33 silverspork
  167. its a digital release, I don't think it will be released in just one state
  168. 7:33 liorean
  169. :)
  170. 7:33 FhqwhDango
  171. I mean bug & crash free
  172. 7:33 Mimness
  173. liorean: Do you think you'll finish it later?
  174. 7:33 flesk
  175. Yeah, let's hope so.
  176. They had some issues with CQ2 on Linux when it released too. It was possible to work around it though.
  177. 7:34 Cheeseness
  178. The artwork is pretty charming
  179. 7:35 liorean
  180. Mimness: Probably, but nothing guaranteed. I have Grim and Witcher 2 on my finish schedule before Witcher 3 releases
  181. 7:35 Mimness
  182. Ahh
  183. 7:35 FhqwhDango
  184. I am playing Witcher 2 right now
  185. I don't think it's better than the first one. It's too different
  186. 7:36 Mimness
  187. No soup for Violett. You have to get the kids to have soup, but you don't get any. Ripped off.
  188. 7:36 flesk
  189. Not sure if I'll ever finish Violett, but it's nice to see someone else play it.
  190. 7:36 Cheeseness
  191. I love this idea of using book illustrations to control the environment
  192. 7:37 liorean
  193. I had no idea what to do with the books here.
  194. 7:37 flesk
  195. I feel like it has a lot of potential.
  196. If only it had less of the frustrating elements.
  197. 7:37 Mimness
  198. Yeah that puzzle is pretty confusing.
  199. 7:37 Cheeseness
  200. Getting back down is a pain - that green bookmark is all you cna click on
  201. 7:38 flesk
  202. I thought this one was ok actually. There was a room with a kettle I think and a bath (?) that just confused me.
  203. 7:38 Cheeseness
  204. Yeah, we did that earlier
  205. 7:39 liorean
  206. Flessk: TYhe one with the sword master?
  207. Flesk even
  208. Or the one with the sink?
  209. 7:39 flesk
  210. liorean: I don't remember a sword master.
  211. Yeah, the sink.
  212. 7:39 liorean
  213. Ah. Yes, that one we did earlier
  214. 7:39 flesk
  215. I ended up just trying everything in that room, and even that didn't get me anywhere.
  216. So I must have missed something I guess.
  217. 7:40 liorean
  218. I now know what I missed in that room
  219. 7:40 Rayiner [Mibbit@314FF093.38C2D390.E30CFD84.IP] entered the room.
  220. 7:40 flesk
  221. liorean: What did you miss?
  222. I missed the beginning of the stream.
  223. 7:40 liorean
  224. The snake charming pipe
  225. 7:40 flesk
  226. I only saw from the train room.
  227. 7:41 Rayiner
  228. I am back, snap, I missed something.
  229. 7:41 flesk
  230. I don't remember a snake charming pipe, so that might be what I missed too.
  231. 7:41 liorean
  232. This is the room with what I called the sword master
  233. 7:41 flesk
  234. Ah, yeah. This is the other room where I was stuck.
  235. 7:41 liorean
  236. It has a kettle/boiler that I thought you might have meant.
  237. 7:42 flesk
  238. liorean: Yeah. I didn't remember anything about a sword master though.
  239. I thought that guy was playing some kind of instrument at first.
  240. 7:43 Cheeseness
  241. Yay, I have no idea what I'm doing <_>
  242. 7:43 Mimness
  243. Freaking drawers
  244. 7:43 liorean
  245. I never figured out this room either - I know there's switches in it to close a circuit, but that's about it
  246. What or why, I have no idea
  247. 7:49 FhqwhDango
  248. this looks like fun
  249. No. Wait.
  250. 7:50 liorean
  251. This room is frustrating. No idea what to do here
  252. 7:50 flesk
  253. So which other puzzle adventures are there where the puzzles are integrated like this? The Gobliiins games, Axel & Pixel, the Amanita games...
  254. 7:50 Syd
  255. I'm still not sure what this is supposed to be accomplishing. :P
  256. 7:50 flesk
  257. Big Brain Wolf.
  258. 7:50 Mimness
  259. There's something behind the 2nd from the top right
  260. 7:50 Cheeseness
  261. I have to close all the drawers
  262. But it's using some weird space logic that I can't work out (I solved it by luck on my first run through >_< )
  263. Sorry people
  264. 7:51 liorean
  265. Close them? I thought the objective was to open them!
  266. 7:51 FhqwhDango
  267. Big Brain Wolf is great
  268. 7:52 Cheeseness
  269. The thing I need to reach is the thing behind the number 9 drawer
  270. 7:52 Syd
  271. This goes beyond moon logic
  272. 7:52 flesk
  273. Those symbols must mean something.
  274. 7:52 Cheeseness
  275. Yeah
  276. 7:52 liorean
  277. Any clue as to what those left and right arrows actually mean?
  278. 7:52 Cheeseness
  279. I wish it had a reset button
  280. I assumed they were greater than/less than indicators showing how many drawers needed to be open
  281. But that's not it
  282. 7:53 flesk
  283. Cheeseness: Yeah, that's what I thought too, but I don't think that's it because I know I never solved it.
  284. 7:54 Cheeseness
  285. Mimness' walkthrough just has a list of moves, so after I messed it up, it wasn't any help :D
  286. 7:54 flesk
  287. And because of the positions of the numbers all of them are greater than.
  288. Of the symbols I mean.
  289. They always point away from the numbers I think.
  290. And you can't reset the puzzle by leaving and entering the room?
  291. 7:57 Sven_Q45
  292. Old adventure technique.
  293. :D
  294. 7:58 Cheeseness
  295. o.0
  296. 7:58 Mimness
  297. WOOOOOOOOOOOO
  298. 7:58 Cheeseness
  299. Actually, maybe it represents the number of drawers that need to be open/closed to change it
  300. 7:58 flesk
  301. Nice. :)
  302. 7:58 Cheeseness
  303. < 9 means one drawer out of 10
  304. 7:58 Mimness
  305. I had to work it out on a piece of paper -_-
  306. Old school.
  307. 7:59 flesk
  308. Heh. Awesome. :)
  309. 7:59 JelDeRebel [Mibbit@39AB8F65.4DD1FC8.2E3B438D.IP] entered the room.
  310. 7:59 Sven_Q45
  311. I like the music!
  312. 7:59 flesk
  313. Not something you do a lot these days.
  314. 7:59 JelDeRebel
  315. naaarf
  316. sup y'all
  317. 7:59 flesk
  318. I played the first Kyrandia game with pen and paper a couple of years ago.
  319. Hi JelDeRebel.
  320. 7:59 Cheeseness
  321. Hmm, I think he's gone to sleep
  322. lol
  323. Hey JelDeRebel
  324. 8:00 Mimness
  325. Took too long to do the puzzle and he died
  326. 8:00 flesk
  327. Heh. Probably.
  328. 8:00 JelDeRebel
  329. i loged in on steam and saw cheesedude playing
  330. 8:01 Mimness
  331. I love how your first objective in an adventure game is to steal everything that isn't nailed down
  332. 8:01 liorean
  333. Same with most RPGs
  334. 8:01 The_Mad_Pirate
  335. hi !
  336. 8:02 liorean
  337. Arr!
  338. 8:02 JelDeRebel
  339. are there exploding kittens in this game?
  340. 8:02 Mimness
  341. I'm afraid not
  342. 8:02 Cheeseness
  343. Hey The_Mad_Pirate
  344. 8:02 liorean
  345. Man, that kickstarter blew up
  346. 8:02 The_Mad_Pirate
  347. yo Cheeseness !
  348. 8:03 Cheeseness
  349. That's what happens when The Oatmeal is involved
  350. 8:03 FhqwhDango
  351. Oh. A rebel joins the chat
  352. 8:03liorean has no idea what the Oatmeal is, either
  353. 8:03 JelDeRebel
  354. kickstarters always climax in the first 2 days
  355. after that it's all downhill
  356. kinda like sex
  357. 8:04 liorean
  358. :)
  359. Cliamx in the fiorst 2 days of sex, you say?
  360. 8:04 JelDeRebel
  361. in the first 2 minutes
  362. 8:04 FhqwhDango
  363. just like this game
  364. 8:04 The_Mad_Pirate
  365. Perma or Syd ?
  366. 8:05 FhqwhDango
  367. Great into and then it goes downhill a bit
  368. 8:05 liorean
  369. Cheese
  370. 8:05 Sven_Q45
  371. I really would use the f word but I can´t. :( I just wanted to listen to the soundtrack of this game on Youtube. But "this video is not available". x(
  372. 8:05 Syd
  373. Cheeseness is streaming today
  374. 8:05 The_Mad_Pirate
  375. JelDeRebel: Actually no , there are two parallel effects , "novelty" and "sailing ship".
  376. 8:06 JelDeRebel
  377. hmm streaming cheese
  378. 8:06 liorean
  379. There is always the Youtube country barrier proxy add-ons for your browser
  380. 8:06 FhqwhDango
  381. liorean they never work reliably
  382. 8:06 Sven_Q45
  383. liorean The last I used to unblock didn´t install itself on Chrome. What a shame!!
  384. 8:06 JelDeRebel
  385. i'm surprised i can login to this chat thing
  386. using IE
  387. at work
  388. 8:07 liorean
  389. Sure they don't, Google doesn't want them to. But there are usually at least some ways to work around it.
  390. 8:07 FhqwhDango
  391. I guess IRC isn't mainstream enough
  392. there are web based solutions
  393. 8:07 Cheeseness
  394. Or you know, IE is junk :D
  395. 8:07 Sven_Q45
  396. liorean It IS a addon on for Chrome. ;)
  397. 8:07 FhqwhDango
  398. these usually work
  399. 8:07 The_Mad_Pirate
  400. has anyone played an adventure game with really wierd controls ?
  401. 8:08 FhqwhDango
  402. I have
  403. 8:08 liorean
  404. Yes
  405. 8:08 FhqwhDango
  406. it was Monkey Island 4
  407. 8:08 Cheeseness
  408. This one's kinda odd
  409. 8:08 The_Mad_Pirate
  410. It does has a nice UI
  411. 8:08 JelDeRebel
  412. soo any plans to stream grim danfango?
  413. 8:08 Cheeseness
  414. All the weird touch oriented "swiping" stuff is a bit weird
  415. JelDeRebel: Starting first week in Feb
  416. 8:08 liorean
  417. This one, Grim, EMI, and several FMV games that are unorthodox.
  418. 8:09 FhqwhDango
  419. who will stream Grim by the way
  420. 8:09 Syd
  421. I'll be streaming Grim
  422. 8:09 FhqwhDango
  423. 2 people here seem to have a head start
  424. 8:09 liorean
  425. Hell, I played Druuna, Morbis Gravis at a friend of mine about a decade and a half ago, and that game had horrible controls
  426. 8:09 FhqwhDango
  427. according to Steam
  428. 8:09 The_Mad_Pirate
  429. Syd: Hi there girl ! Didn't saw you.
  430. 8:10 JelDeRebel
  431. game controls like having a naked girl in your bed for the first time
  432. also maybe i should stop doing this
  433. 8:10 FhqwhDango
  434. having naked girls in your bed?
  435. 8:10 JelDeRebel
  436. yeah for the first time, and you dont know what to do
  437. 8:11 liorean
  438. JelDeRebel: Does it use a controller like the Ju-C Air?
  439. 8:11 The_Mad_Pirate
  440. Cheeseness: Are you playing Violett on a touch device ?
  441. 8:11 Cheeseness
  442. Nope
  443. 8:11 Sven_Q45
  444. I think I´m gonna go over to JelDeRebel. :D
  445. 8:11 Cheeseness
  446. But it was designed for them
  447. 8:11 JelDeRebel
  448. I have one track mind
  449. 8:12 flesk
  450. The Cat Lady has pretty unusual controls. They work great once you get used to them though.
  451. 8:12 JelDeRebel
  452. speaking of cats
  453. whatever happened to mezwgenics?
  454. *mewgenics
  455. 8:12 FhqwhDango
  456. no idea
  457. 8:12 Cheeseness
  458. DIdn't it come out?
  459. 8:13 JelDeRebel
  460. nope
  461. 8:13 FhqwhDango
  462. Mewgenics is not canceled, we just put it on hold to work full time on this one. once SMB:F is released we will hop back on it.
  463. that was last august
  464. 8:14 The_Mad_Pirate
  465. Cheeseness: So PC version still uses a "touch like" metaphora ?
  466. 8:14 flesk
  467. But Mew-genics was announced long before that I think?
  468. 8:14 Cheeseness
  469. The_Mad_Pirate: Yeah
  470. 8:15 FhqwhDango
  471. they put it on hold for the mobile Meat Boy game they are working on
  472. that was the last post on their Mewgenics blog
  473. 8:15 The_Mad_Pirate
  474. Cheeseness: Quite the oposite of Broken Age.
  475. 8:15 Sven_Q45
  476. Speaking of late 2014. Late 2015 is (maybe) going to be the realease of Zak BTAS Directors Cut. :)
  477. 8:16 JelDeRebel
  478. maan this IE is soo outdated it doenst update kickstarter in realtime
  479. 8:16 The_Mad_Pirate
  480. BTAS ?
  481. 8:17 Sven_Q45
  482. Between time and space.
  483. 8:17 liorean
  484. Man, IE is a kick in the teeth every time you have to use it. Even IE11, which is actually decent when it comes to core web technologies
  485. 8:17 JelDeRebel
  486. bitches, tangerins and socks
  487. 8:17 The_Mad_Pirate
  488. liorean: why are you even using IE ?
  489. liorean: Micro$oft don't even want to actually adhere to standard JS !
  490. 8:18 liorean
  491. I don't use IE if I can get around it. But sometimes you're on a computer that doesn't have anything else and you're not allowed running non-admin-installed stuff
  492. 8:19 JelDeRebel
  493. like me atm
  494. 8:19 The_Mad_Pirate
  495. liorean: sounds like a net cafe pc
  496. 8:19 JelDeRebel
  497. can't install FF nor CHrome on this pc
  498. 8:19 liorean
  499. Or a workplace
  500. Or university library
  501. 8:20 The_Mad_Pirate
  502. It crowd of those place should be "let go" just for being useless
  503. 8:20 JelDeRebel
  504. if browsing internet was like having sex. IE would be like
  505. well i don't know
  506. 8:20 FhqwhDango
  507. tripper
  508. 8:21 liorean
  509. And Microsoft are trying pretty hard to run "Standard JS" since IE8 and later, they just have a lot of backwards compatibility issues they have to drag along. They cannot change behavious willy nilly.
  510. 8:21 The_Mad_Pirate
  511. I love Camera Focus on Violett, it reminds me to how BA handles it.
  512. 8:22 JelDeRebel
  513. i have yet to play bA, waiting for part 2
  514. 8:23 The_Mad_Pirate
  515. liorean: They did get themselves on that trap by refusing to adhere to ECMA from the start.
  516. 8:23 Cheeseness
  517. I wonder if the ending of act 1 will feel as profound if you can dive on into act 2 without stopping
  518. 8:24 FhqwhDango
  519. I hope you can start Act 2 without playing Act 1
  520. I think I lost my save
  521. 8:24 JelDeRebel
  522. I wonder how violett would be with animal crossing voices
  523. 8:24 liorean
  524. The_Mad_Pirate: They never refused that. Heck, they forced Netscape into that position, they *wanted it*. And for the most issues, it's not the ECMA side that they have trouble with. It's the browser host environment, and that was never properly standardised before they went their own way.
  525. 8:24 The_Mad_Pirate
  526. Dialoge on Violett is kinda confussing
  527. 8:25 Sven_Q45
  528. I think that´s no problem. There are games what come more years later than Broken Age.
  529. 8:25 FhqwhDango
  530. wait no. My saves are intact
  531. 8:26 JelDeRebel
  532. oh i thought i erased em
  533. 8:26 FhqwhDango
  534. thank you Steamfeatures for saving my savegames
  535. 8:26 JelDeRebel
  536. muahahahaa
  537. 8:26 The_Mad_Pirate
  538. Why are pipes minigames so popular on adventure games ?
  539. 8:26 liorean
  540. It's just a 30min playthrough if you want to breeze through Act 1 though
  541. 8:26 Sven_Q45
  542. I have steam savegames what are more years older. Steam doesn´t delete them. ;)
  543. 8:27 JelDeRebel
  544. i suck at adventure games lol, BA will take me hours
  545. 8:27 liorean
  546. Because pipes are fundamental ides that everybody can get, I think
  547. 8:27 JelDeRebel
  548. I never played an adventure game before monkey island deluxe on x360
  549. 8:27 Cheeseness
  550. That said, it makes no sense to have pipes like that
  551. 8:27 JelDeRebel
  552. yes we all love pipes
  553. 8:27 FhqwhDango
  554. I'll never play episode 1 of that game again
  555. it was too bad
  556. 8:28 The_Mad_Pirate
  557. liorean: Prisioner of Ice and The Longest Journey also have those pipe minigames xP
  558. 8:28 JelDeRebel
  559. bioshock had a pipe minigame
  560. 8:28 liorean
  561. And many more'
  562. 8:28 FhqwhDango
  563. Myst 1 had 3D pipe mazes
  564. 8:28 liorean
  565. Pipe minigames are common
  566. 8:29 The_Mad_Pirate
  567. I think 11th hour or 7th Guest has a pipes minigame too
  568. 8:29 FhqwhDango
  569. I don't remember 7th guest having pipes
  570. just bacteria and chess
  571. to drive you insane
  572. 8:30 liorean
  573. Plenty of old NES and SNES games use them. Many FMV games. They might not be ubiquitous, but they are common.
  574. 8:30 FhqwhDango
  575. I can live with pipes but Simon Says style puzzles always annoy me
  576. 8:30 liorean
  577. Agreed
  578. 8:30 Sven_Q45
  579. Didn´t like thje puzzles but the music of the 7th guest was great.
  580. 8:30 JelDeRebel
  581. super mario is all pipes
  582. 8:30 liorean
  583. I hate especially musical Simon Says
  584. Pipes and mushrooms, man
  585. 8:31 FhqwhDango
  586. that piano in the 7th guest was a pain even with a solution
  587. 8:32 liorean
  588. There's a musical puzzle in Myst that I really hated, it was a one pixel slider setting to enter the right note
  589. 8:32 The_Mad_Pirate
  590. Psychokinetic Powers , well that's a good reason for having tuch like device.
  591. 8:32 liorean
  592. The one to unlock the rocket, IIRC
  593. 8:33 Cheeseness
  594. This puzzle is a bit crazy too
  595. 8:33 flesk
  596. The Whispered World also has a pipe minigame.
  597. And Gemini Rue sort of.
  598. 8:33 liorean
  599. Though the really crazy game in the Myst series was Riven. So many non-obvious things.
  600. 8:33 FhqwhDango
  601. Myst was alright *cuddles with his 5 copies of Myst
  602. at least you could count the slider thing
  603. 8:34 The_Mad_Pirate
  604. that felt like some kind of rubick cube xP
  605. 8:34 Sven_Q45
  606. Please stop your "pipe mania" here. :D
  607. 8:34 JelDeRebel
  608. yes
  609. you gay person you
  610. 8:34 The_Mad_Pirate
  611. I should play Real Myst someday.
  612. 8:34 liorean
  613. Myst was alright. Zork Nemesis was better, I never understood why it seems to have gone unremembered among the early ones in that genre.
  614. 8:35 FhqwhDango
  615. I guess it's the constant rereleases of Myst
  616. 8:35 Cheeseness
  617. From this point on, there's a stack of backtracking if you want the journal pages
  618. 8:35 Cheeseness
  619. So I don't think I'll grab them all
  620. 8:35 Sven_Q45
  621. JelDeRebel There was a game with the name pipe mania.
  622. 8:36 flesk
  623. There was a Russian game called Full Pipe I think. Used to be on Steam.
  624. 8:36 FhqwhDango
  625. seems to be the right one
  626. 8:36 Babar left the room (quit: Connection reset by peer).
  627. 8:36 Sven_Q45
  628. I played Full Pipe. :)
  629. 8:36 FhqwhDango

  631. 8:36 JelDeRebel

  633. 8:37 Cheeseness

  637. Let me know when the outro is done
