  1. Your feet seem to have a bit more weight to them as you walk into the slaughterhouse parking lot to your car after work hours. It's 6:20PM, and though you've worked harder than usually having to tear through animal flesh rather than herd them into lines, the constant sense of worry just pales in comparison.
  2.
  3. Ever since that incident behind the building during your break, you couldn't help but question Chu's behavior and general species. As much as you tried to deduct something on your own all day, nothing but blanks and worries came from it. Slipping yourself into your car and igniting the engine, you just can't stop nagging to yourself: Will Chu even be home? You don't even know if she actually decided to go towards your house when she ran home. You know she has nothing to call hers in that building but maybe fur that shedded from her tail.
  4.
  5. As you start your drive through town and towards home, you allow the road to help focus your thoughts for what could occur at home. When you get home, you'll start looking for Chu straight away. Awkward as it is to try and talk to someone who literally tried to bite your neck, you can't see any good coming from just waiting and seeing what happens. That noted, there's no way Chu would do something like that knowingly, you just couldn't acknowledge that. You weren't normally one to attract people who faked being friendly to get what they want, so you'd assume Chu was an honest girl...right?
  6.
  7. A small pinch of fear grips you as you slow your sedan to a stop, parking into the driveway of your house. It was a small, homely little shack that you rented from an old acquaintance you knew in high school. It had some missing shingles, but it was a nice home. You pull your key from your pocket, unlocking the door before pausing to take a moment and collect your thoughts.
  8. You just have to see if she's here, ask her what happened, and sort this out. Simple. Just keep calm. It's still Chu. Just keep calm...
  9.
  10. Despite your efforts to ensure yourself that the girl you knew is still there, a small part of you is afraid of that borderline savage display behind the workplace. You slowly open the door to reveal an empty living room. You step into the house a bit hastily, glancing about yourself as you start to think that maybe Chu really did decide to leave. Before you start to try calling out for her, the curtains at the window near the back wall give a small flutter in the breeze, quickly catching your attention. Inside the the open window stands the sly goat-girl you have been freaking out all day to see, one of her legs slipping through the opening before coming to a complete halt as she makes eye contact with you.
  11.
  12. The room suddenly becomes like a waiting room, the silence hanging in the air as you and Chu not daring to make a move. You were still freaked out she tackled you and almost bite your neck, after all. Why would she be standing there, though? Is it because of guilt or was she caught sneaking in? You need to break this silence either way before you start to choke on the thickness of this awkwardness.
  13.
  14. "Guh...." You toss out something to try and break the tension in the room and rub your head. You could actually hear the words you tried to say fall onto the ground. You try again and attempt to not fuck up like a shy new kid at school, "H-...Hey, Chu..."
  15.
  16. You really want to whack yourself upside the head right now. That was a horrible greeting. Damn, it's already begun to become difficult to actually talk to her. You actually sound like some loser trying to talk to a girl. Well, you WERE a loser, but not a shy jackass who can't assert himself, Get it together!
  17.
  18. Chu keeps staring at you, her yellow eyes quite easily noticed with their brightness. Her eyes widened ever so faintly for a few seconds before her ears fell once again, a sad expression on her face as she pulls her other foot from the window, then closing the sill behind her.
  19.
  20. "Hi..." She mutters out a response to you as she looks away from your eyes, her tail staying still against the wooden floor.
  21.
  22. Chu continues stands still, shifting her feet around as the girl’s hands stay inside her poncho, looking at the ground with her nails press against the hardwood. The goat girl glances up at you for a moment, her ears pinning against her head more. Was she waiting for you to say something? Well, either way you need to, so you guess this just makes things easier.
  23.
  24. “You stayed here, I see.” Your mouth opens up to strain out a cliche statement like that. You’re trying to calm yourself, but you can feel your heart pumping a little quick and you throat feels oddly dry with anxiety.
  25.
  26. Chu nods her head solemnly her tail swaying to her other side. “I was waiting like you asked…”, she explains, letting out a light sigh come out. Chu sounds so down about this, you can feel a conflict between trying to comfort her or keep your distance. You decide to just stay where you are and keeping questioning her. it's probably better not to get too close so quickly anywho.
  27.
  28. "And you were coming in throiugh the window just now, because..."
  29.
  30. "I wanted to think," She gives her reply still refusing to look at you, a complex expression on her face, wavering a bit as she answers you. "I had to get a bit of fresh air and get a hold of myself. I fell asleep inside the tree outside waiting for you, and when I heard you leaving your car..." Her words start to drift as her features turn a bit tense.
  31.
  32. You can't quite tell if she's trying not to look sad or angry, the way her brow wavers so much makes it difficult. Her tail isn't moving either, just sitting behind her in silence. You aren't too sure you completely believe she spent her time waiting for you here at your house. When she left it was still 1:10 at least, when you went back work after seeing her. That's at least 5 hours unattended. She wasn't that much of a sleeper either, she usually was up and about before you, in fact. Then again her timing with coming into the house would be explained with her story, and now that you're actually looking at her a bit more closely, you can see a few small leaves mixed into her ruffled brown hair.
  33.
  34. You glance behind yourself, pushing the door closed, cursing your stupidity and awkwardness with dealing with situations like this. You slowly walk over to Chu a bit cautiously as she seems to be at odds with herself, almost glowering at the floor. You slowly grasp her shoulder, causing her to faintly flinch at your presence and look at you with a suprised look in her eyes.
  35.
  36. "Look, I get it. Okay?" You say calmly, doing what you can to ease her emotions. "We both have shit that needs to be talked out, and it's made itself pretty obvious. I'm pretty sure standing here, looking at anything but each other and looking at wood like it crossed you in some way isn't going to do anything about. So uh..."
  37.
  38. You glance around for anything to help at least start to mellow things out. Your house is pretty damn simple due to your job and lack of want to spent your shit, so there isn't much around aside from a picture or two a tv, some consoles you've kept over the years and your couch.
  39.
  40. "How about we just start with taking a load off instead, huh..?"
  41.
  42. Chu looks at you with an almost blank look on her face, her golden eyes peering up at you It's like a puzzle trying to read it, but you get the feeling that she didn't quite expect you to do what you just did. She slowly blinks her tail lifting to move about somewhat before she nods, making her way to the couch and sitting down on the far end, sighing slowly. You follow suit, deciding to take a seat on the other side, partly out of courtesy and partly because you're still somewhat wary. You hate yourself a little bit more for being so defensive around someone you consider to be a friend like this, but you just want to be sure. Either way it was time to start getting on the main reason you and Chu are like this to begin with.
  43.
  44. "What happened, behind the slaughterhouse..." You swallow a bit hard before beginning to try and talk out your feelings. "You uh, kinda scared me there, an-"
  45.
  46. "I know..." Chu interrupts you, her hands squeezing the cushions of the couch slowly, shaking her head . "I just couldn't help myself..." You can see her bite her lip, worrying about something before she turns to look at you eye to eye for once. "I was feeling so thirsty..."
  47.
  48. You just look at her, your face falling into a bit of a stony look as you try and make sense of her reason. She was thirsty? But there was a bucket right next to you when you were talking to her. How can she possibly make that excuse?
  49.
  50. Chu notices your look and quickly looks at her hands for a moment, looking for words. "Necesito más sa-I-I mean..." She hastily corrects herself from her normal language, taking a short breath to ease herself. "I need blood...fresh...." She looks down again, seeming a bit disappointed in herself for her lack of clarity.
  51.
  52. "Wha?" You raise an eyebrow, staring at her. You're not quite what to think of this new information. "What the hell does that make the jugs of goat and cattle blood I bring here then? That's not exactly an easy thing to bring home, y'know!"
  53.
  54. "I know that..!" She waves a hand dismissively at point on the cattle blood,a bit worried about your level in volume. "But...I don't know.. My stomach just isn't satisfied." She confesses this as she scratches behind her ear slowly. "It's not the same. It taste a bit nasty, like two flavored sodas mixed in and left opened for a while in the sun, I guess is a way to put it...It's not nearly as tasty or filling as from a source...'
  55. She glances up at you for a moment before her tail droops over the arm of the couch a bit saddened before mumbling. "That's the other reason I came to the goat pin..."
  56.
  57. You're jaw slackens a bit, letting the information seep in. So, basically food straight from the source is a lot more nutritious than from it being out in the open for so long? You let your back relax against the couch as your breath slowly eases out of you lungs like a balloon. You rub your eyes slowly. You can feel your head pulsing a bit from all the stress and thoughts it's processing. That's a bit of a dampener seeing as you brought home a jug of blood anyway.
  58.
  59. Then again, the idea made sense if you thought about. Blood is different while it's still inside your body right? Like it's blue on the inside, not red. Not to mention certain cells are actually hidden inside cells. Is it possible that maybe, the main component for vampiric actions is someone in that area where blood is blue and not red? Slaughtering animals is what you fucking do for a living, you would probably be fired if you didn't know shit about biology, let alone the crap you get covered in from day to day. Frankly however, the fact that you're just piling on more stuff for your head to contemplate is just pissing you off, so it would be best to just drop it. The main issue right now is the girl sitting next to you who has this eating problem, anyway.
  60.
  61. "So you mean to tell me you can't drink the blood I bring home, because it's mixed and not too old for your taste?" You spat out a summary of her excuse a bit more harshly than you would have liked.
  62.
  63. "Yeah, but..." Chu grumbled, jiggling in her seat her ears returning to their normal position. At least she wasn't so depressed now. "I just don't find as tasty and it takes like half a jug of that stuff to normally satify me, while usually only a few slurps from a neck would be so much more filling...."
  64.
  65. "Uh huh..." Is all you give in retaliation
  66. "I-It's true, boba!" She growled, leaning to her side to push you a bit, making you rock a little. "This is serious! What do we do about this?"
  67.
  68. You shrug, feeling more at ease knowing that it's become clear that what happened behind the slaughterhouse really was a misunderstanding. You can feel the tension roll off your shoulders as you weigh new options in your mind.
  69. "I'm not too sure myself, but if what you're saying is true, that makes our options for food a bit harder." You keep thinking aloud before sitting up again. "I can't let you keep eating the livestock, that's for certain. Someone's going to notice that some of the animals were killed with a knife. Not many places uses needles and suction to drain blood after all."
  70.
  71. "Yeah..." Chu said begrudgingly, her tail swaying off the end of the couch gently.
  72.
  73.
  74. "Well, it's not like you can bite into people for a difference." You joked leaning back on the couch.
  75. For some reason, you don't hear Chu offer a rebuttal. That's weird, usually she'd be all over you when you made a comment like that. You glance over to your side towards her, seeing that she's sitting up now a faint tint of rose gracing her cheeks as she looks at her claws, her eyes peeking over at you shyly.
  76.
  77. ...
  78. "Uh..." You were about to ask why she abruptly went so mute, but as you open your mouth to speak, you recognize a small trait in her eye. The way she's not breaking eye contact and the sharpness they had.
  79.
  80. Lust.
  81. You close your mouth back feeling your heart speed up a bit remember the way she looked at you hungrily behind the slaughterhouse. The way she breathed against you and pressed her small yet shapely form against yours. You swallow hard as you feel a sense slight panic and lust float in the back of your mind.
  82.
  83. "Well," Chu looks up at you as she breathed, her voice smaller ow as her tail falls onto her lap the tip brushing agianst one of your fingers subtly, "I could. I would think so...but, the very idea seems sort of..." she slowly trails off, her blush deepened her tail starting to bat your hand softly.
  84. You can feel your body tense up slowly as she scoots a bit closer.
  85. "I-If you don't trying mind...w-we could try it..." She speaks almost to herself her movements of closing the distance between you two becoming understated from what says saying and suggesting.
  86.
  87. You aren't too sure what to say anymore, With the way the atmosphere is right now, it feels like she may as well be asking for something as intimate as foreplay. You rub your neck thinking of something to say, but nothing comes. Just a shiver of when Chu's sharp fangs grazed your neck. You need to keep your part of the deal to Chu and feed her blood to keep her away from the slaughterhouse, but does it really have to resort to something like this? You shift your eyes over to Chu to see that she's sitting a few inches from you now, pressing her long and sharp nails agianst her poncho with a blush as she awaits an response. You need to think of answer, and now.
