  3. 1. In order to host on the Nexus Bad Company 2 servers provided by EmulatorNexus, you will need to have the game and to have watched the How to play video on my channel to get the release and follow the updates exactly as I instruct to in the description. I don't want anyone to be whining to me why some Repack is giving him problems, I am not supporting Repacks in my tutorials !
  4.
  5. 2. Once you have gotten the game and the files you need to play, you will need the server files which you saw in the video. You can download them here :
  6. http://ge.tt/5DDktkm/v/0
  7.
  8. 3. The hosting part.. this step will be split into two substeps - 3.1 and 3.2. The first will cover hosting and setting up with BC2 Command Center, the second will cover PRoCon. But for now you will need to get your internal IP address. To do that, head out to your start menu where the search bar is (or if you're using XP, Ctrl+R to open Run). Now type in CMD to open the Command console and type in IpConfig, after which press Enter. Now you should get a lot of weird numbers and letters alike but what you need is the IP starting with 192.168. The others are different for different people so use the ones you see there, not mine. You should also check the ServerOptions.ini in your Server files folder and just choose a name, PB False, Ranked whatever you want and playerlist. But make sure you choose a password which is had to guess since that is your admin pw with which you will log in the sub-steps.
  9.
  10. 3.1. Bad Company 2 Command Center: (http://bfbc2.kthx.at/downloads/bc2cc/bc2cc.exe) [ Thanks to MAGIC' from EmulatorNexus' forums for the link. Thanks to him, you can enjoy BC2CC once again!]
  11.
  12. - Upon running the Command Center, you will automatically install Ms Frameworks so the program can run fine.
  13. - You will need to create a new server based on the password you chose in the ServerOptions.ini. You will be asked for a name, IP and Password so just fill them in and make sure the name and PW match the ones from the ServerOptions.ini. If your command port isn't set, it should be 48888 (and note that this port needs to be forwarded so you can host on it)
  14.
  15. 3.1.1 - Players - From here you can see who's playing on the server as well as some more advanced options such as their KDR, their streak squad and etc. One thing I didn't mention in the video that I should have is that there's an Actions button on the right if you are ever so blind to notice and you can do the same things as with PRoCon on it such as end the round in one team or other's favor as well as skipping the round or restarting it. Pretty easy, let's move on;
  16.
  17. 3.1.2 - Map Options - Game Mode and maps as well as rounds to play on, not really hard to understand so let's move on;
  18.
  19. 3.1.3 - Server Options - Again, pretty simply put to understand and easy to figure out which is what.. except the variables but you can pretty much check the PRoCon settings bellow for defaults or just check how do they affect the in-game settings.
  20.
  21. 3.1.4 - Auto Admin - Still in the works, has some bugs but you can enable simple stuff such as Kill Streak announce, Ace player, last kill, first kill, etc..
  22.
  23. 3.1.5 - Reserved Slots - Enter a name to make him always able to join the server.
  24.
  25. 3.1.6 - Ban List - Enter a name to add a person to the Ban List. Make sure to include a reason and not abuse this.
  26.
  27. 3.1.7 - PunkBuster - EmulatorNexus has PB disabled by default now so this options is pretty much pointless
  28.
  29. That covers BC2CC, if you need a better explanation, watch the video on that part (annotation links).
  30.
  31. 3.2 - PRoCon (http://www.mediafire.com/?638lpxyba34alks)
  32. - This program is a bit harder to understand at first but proves more accessible once you do
  33. - Much like with BC2CC, you will need to create a connection to your server. Again, use the server name, internal IP and admin password which you set in the ServerOptions.ini to connect to your running server and edit it.
  34. - Make sure you drag the Dinput8 from your Server Files or BC2 folder into the PRoCon folder so it recognizes the server as a Nexus one, not an EA (just in case, not sure if this actually matters but on the forums they said it does)
  35.
  36. 3.2.1 - Players - Players who are playing on the server and their stats, as well as some other stats like in the BC2CC. You can also end the round at the bottom of the players tab by selecting which teams wins but don't abuse this to have more wins.. people will not like you for this.
  37.
  38. 3.2.2 - Chat - Self explanatory.. no need to go into details
  39.
  40. 3.2.3 - Map - Visual interpretation of the map that is currently being played on your server. I find this rather pointless as I am probably blind to not notice some special function in here other than the entire map and enemies being shown as well.
  41.
  42. 3.2.4 - Events - This is the screen which is pretty much PRoCon recording the logs of your server (who joined, which plugin is running and when, who left, etc)
  43.
  44. 3.2.5 - Lists - Banlist, Reserved slots, chat moderation and Maplist. Without going into too big of an explanation, the Maplist is kinda difficult to comprehend at first but it's pretty much like so: You select the game mode, click on Change playlist, drag your maps, set the rounds and you're done. You don't get a screenshot of the maps like in BC2CC though so I'd advise you (if you dont know them that is), to use BC2CC to at least get an understanding or the Map tab to kinda figure out which is where.
  45.
  46. 3.2.6 - Server settings such as Name, Description, Gameplay settings, Player limit, Admin password, Level variables (this is important).
  47. - Level Variables work as such - You select either Global (for all maps/modes), Gamemode (for just a specific gamemoed) or Map (regardless of gamemode and just for this one map).
  48.
  49. Tickets - How many per team
  50. Ticket bleed speed - How fast the tickets run out (increase for faster)
  51. Vehicle spawn rate - How fast vehicles spawn/respawn (increase for faster)
  52. Start delay - The first players who join in after the map loads will have #Set number of seconds# before they can spawn
  53. Respawn Delay - Just lower this down to lets say 10 for Rush and 15 for CQ
  54. Vehicles Disabled - Whether or not Vehicles should be disabled (make sure to include it if Yes in the server name).
  55.
  56. 3.2.7. - Plugins - No need to explain them in detail as they have a sub-tab called details for each Plugin.
  57.
  58. 3.2.8. - Console - Keeps track of the server as well as can be used to transmit messages or commands.
  59.
  60. - Skipped over Accounts tab since it's not needed on the NexusBC2 side.
  61.
  62.
  63. And that's pretty much it. I hope you all found this tutorial helpful or useful and if you did, a like or a praise comment is all I need to feel satisfied about making these videos. If you are facing any issues or want more info, you can use the comments section for that as well which is pretty much how most of my tutorials turn out to be. Without delaying any further, this has been Mizu FTW and I hope you guys enjoyed yet another tutorial by me :)
