  1. Elliot gasped, his eyes shot open, his body felt like it was being pricked with icy needles. "Dreaming? Am I dreaming?" he muttered to himself as he ignored the icy sensation and willed himself to stand. Elliot walked around, trying to figure out where he wound up, and, more importantly, how. He quickly realized that he had woken up in the Pembroke Mall, a place that he went every Friday with his girlfriend, but something wasn't right. The mall was empty. Not a single soul nearby, nor any indication of anyone nearby, or even in the building. Elliot called out, hoping for someone to answer back. Nothing. He called out again, this time, he heard something in the distance. "Is that... a child crying?" He thought, and as he made his way closer, the feeling of dread started building.
