Hi! I'm in the Fera sphere, and I had some +notes tied to the Uncle Los Pork Palace that the Olympian Diner ended up taking over. So, if you have the info, I just need to know how this was enacted? Did Uncle Los get bought out ICly and renovated, or was it more OOC "Hey the owner hasn't been around for a while, i'ma take it over" kind of deal?

Shelby pages: When Olympian Diner was still Uncle Los, I had an OOC deal with the owner, that Shelby was starting her ratkin nest in the basement. I took about a 3 week break just now, and got back to read the news, and only now realised that the olympian diner took the place of Uncle Los. Soo...There's my pickle.

You paged Shelby with 'Sorry. The OOC/IC Owner of the place has apparently been gone a really long time which is how I got the place. Didn't see any notes about nests when I looked it over. You could probably talk to staff and they'll let you put it somewhere else.'
Shelby pages: I used to run it that the sewers had an access in the basement, and the owner didn't ICly know about the nest and/or go down there alot. He was pretty severely idle, the owner i mean, and I honestly wasn't much better, which is probably why I didn't get a mail about this. I can show you the note if you like? I'm not upset or anything I just want to resolve it ICly. The nest probably vacated when new people showed up, but given Shelby's own idle she's probably going to show up and be a little confused.

From afar, Shelby nodnods! Yeah he was. It's cool, like i said. It gives me an excuse to RP there in the mean time, at least to sniff out where they'd gone.

You paged Shelby with 'Sorry, it was all renovated and re-sealed and brought to code. Any place rats would get in would have been sealed and dealt with. The use the place and the basement is used by the resturant it is a nice place unlike Uncle Lo's so there isn't a vermin problem where a bunch of rats could blend into. I'd just ask staff about moving it because Dex wouldn't ICly be very happy if someone else was trying to take over his place.'

Shelby pages: Well that's Dex's problem, no offense, and it's also exactly what he's done to Shelby. So you hopefully can see why I'm trying to come halfway here and resolve this peacefully?

Shelby pages: So let's go with, if you're okay with it, that while renovating you found the basement empty, but sort of hoveled out to be some sort of apartment. TV, couches, fridge half full, that sort of thing.

You paged Shelby with 'The basement, is now resealed and used as storage for the resturant as a basement should be. Having been brought up to specs and proper health codes. I knew nothing about this and it's not going to work out to have a ratkin nest under a resturant that wants to pass it's health inspections. I'd just ask staff to have it moved to a new place and have there be where it's always been sort of thing.'

Shelby pages: The basement is NOW resealed, and before you bought it, it wasn't. The nest is going to be moved, your basement is not going to be harmed, but I won't play this as a 'It's always been this way' sort of deal. I'm okay with you not having known, if you're okay with my kinfolk leaving before you got there, but Shelby's going to follow up atleast, see what happened and why. It'll be good RP, don't worry :D

Shelby pages: Besides, from what I read it's a bone gnawer owned establishment, so it's not like she'll be pissed about it in that regard. For my own comfort of mind I'd just prefer to have that scene, and not just assume she mystically knows her nest has had to move as soon as she gets back to the city, that tweaks my IC/OOC peeve.

You paged Shelby with 'You know what happens to rats in the basement of a resturant? Now, if you want to say they all left before I bought it, that's fine but they haven't been here for months. You can come and look around the Olympian but that's about all we'll get to. I'm sick at the moment and it's probably not the best time to come to me with a problem because I don't feel good and that's going to make me just cut the problem off to make it go away. It's easy enough for Shelby to figure out why they left though, new owners with more interest in their business not getting drug through the mud on health standards. It's a nice place and meant to be that way.'

Shelby pages: No I get you, cutting the problem off does get a ton easier with CoH's risk policies. Don't like something just ignore it, right? Thanks for your time and effort to understand, I hope you feel better soon.

Long distance to Shelby: Dex just said he didn't feel good and has been drained from this for days. This is why I want to cut it off right now rather then be drug by the nose thought a blind sided problem that had no notes tied to my building. If you want to wait until I feel better and am not in the middle of another scene that I've had to put on hold then I'd be more then happy to deal with it then. I'd appreciate you not treating me like I'm hiding behind risk or speaking to me in such a condescending manner. If you want to try again later, be my guest, if not please talk to staff about it.

Shelby pages: At any time you could have mentioned you were in a scene, but it was my mistake assuming you were free to talk about this right now. That I'll apologize for, even though it was the reason I'd sent you a mail in the first place instead of paging you. Secondly I am sorry for assuming that you were brushing me off and then hiding behind risk. I'll leave all this at that, and we can talk later. Have a good scene.
